70. Lost in the Forest (19)

In the second can was found a large piece of salt, a little bit of garbage, some garlic grains, three limes.  Now he has a balanced dinner, a lemon, three garlic, a pinch of salt, a handful of plum-like fruit.

The weather was more friendly that night than before.  He covered the body with two mosquito wires that made it comfortable even though both were wet.  On top of the mosquito wire was laid a poncho.  The face is covered with a poncho veil.

Waves of warmth spread throughout the body when exhaled breath into the veil of the poncho.

“What if Rian doesn't make it to this place?” ask in the heart.  “Tomorrow I must study the map, make an estimate of where I am now and how far away I am from the city.  All day tomorrow I'll stay here waiting for Rian.  If he doesn't show up, luca I'm leaving.”

That night he continued to hallucinate.  Rian called out in despair.  “Please! Help u! Made, save me.  Wait me.  Don't go, Made! Made up! Please!”

Body sweats even though Made's clothes are wet.

He woke up with a stiff body and curled up as a result of feeling the effect of a new mattress.  He sat outside the alcove to study the wet and ripped peda, but could still see the River and other signs.

Use the map scale to calculate the distance of the place.  Before the marked spot, there was another big river flowing down.  Made hoped that the river could pass through.

The rain is back down.  Apparently the eastern region has entered the rainy season.  That day was December 3, he had no trouble remembering because the raft accident happened on the 1st.  Since then he has kept the date.  In him there is a debate, whether he started traveling to his destination or waiting for Rian.

The hallucinations last night were still excruciating.  Rian needs Made, and vice versa.  They have to look for each other.  Together they can overcome all conditions.

So, he decided to return to the original direction hoping that on the way later he would cross paths with him.  Who knew they could meet by shouting at each other.

He meticulously packed the items and shouldered the backpack on his back.  His feet were burning, he was worried he could not go too far.  He swallowed a pill from a P3K box.  The effect is as promised on the label.

He was able to walk fast, jump over rocks and fallen trees, for several hours without rest, while calling “Rian, Rian” every few minutes.  His shout was only followed by the roar of the river flow down there.

He does not feel hungry, does not feel pain in the legs, the weight of the backpack, or the rain that bothers.  In one place above the cliff he saw a large niche that formed a cavity like a giant cave.

All sides are open, covered only by overhanging rocks.  Under the shade grew many trees, all in a very dry state.  Maybe it's good to make a big bonfire to signal for Rian.  But he refused to stop.  It has to continue.

Like the possessed man, the climbing of the surface of the reef to get the following ledge, hoping to continue the journey on the surface above.  AT a height of about two hundred and fifty feet, he was trapped, unable to climb higher, nor could he descend.  He jumped, crossing to the core of the rock that was poking for about a yard.  It worked, but the core of the coral was swollen due to its footing, making it fall from the wall.

Fortunately, the fall was stopped by a tree.  The backpack on the back holds the power of the slide until the metal frame of the backpack bends.

Once again he was lost, helpless.  All his travels were in vain.  This mountain could end just like that.  Has Rian ever been here?  He had no choice but to return to the cave he had seen earlier.  There he could make a fire and prepare a delicious rice plus bean soup.

Arriving at the cave, he collapsed.  For a few moments he just lay down.  After gathering strength, he rose to gather twigs and branches, placing the smallest bars below while the larger ones above.  He had several matchsticks, the lighter also lit up without difficulty.

There's a book in the backpack.  He tore it off a few pieces and slipped it under the twig.  It is easy to start a fire.  Soon larger branches were devoured by fire, giving warmth and light.

Water is not a problem at all because the entire surface of the cliff is wet.  The water that dripped from it he put in a can and then placed on a large stone placed in the middle of the fire.  The water boiled quickly.  He was attacked with feelings of guilt.

Rian also needed food, while their meager meal was now in his hands.  He had to back up supplies, just in case they both needed them later.  Carefully put a spoonful of rice and a spoonful of beans into boiling water.  Peeled two grains of garlic, put them in a can with a little salt and spices.

These cans can hold about a third of a liter of water.  The soup was not thick, but it tasted good.  Drink a few cups, hold off from swallowing only soup water and leave the rest for tomorrow morning.  After being full, arrange things.  The rice and beans in the backpack are wet and moldy, so are the garlic and spices.  Put everything on the rock near the fire, then collect more dry wood so that the campfire continues to burn.

Ponchos and mosquito wires were also removed.  After all finished the shoes were opened.  He did this most recently because he knew it must have been far from fun.

His feet hurt not play.  Rotten barbau socks, filled with yellowish red stains.  Put your teeth on when you take off your socks.  His feet are awful.  Almost all of his skin was flaking.  The flesh between his fingers was inflamed, bleeding, purulent.  He was afraid he could no longer walk.  His feet should be drained and smeared something.

Stirring P3K box.  Because there was no oil, it was decided to use insect repellent cream along with the spray.  The two ingredients form a rather greasy mixture.  All night long he pulled both his legs in front of the fire.  The pain was unbearable making it impossible to sleep.

When morning came he realized his condition was very weak.  He crawled with both hands and feet to collect more wood.  Added water to the rest of the soup overnight and then heated it.  There is still a little porridge at the bottom of the can.

He was forced to swallow everything because he did not want to waste anything.  He sat near the fire.  His skin looked dry and began to heal.  He tried to make smoke.  Rian certainly could not see the fire on this bright day, but could probably see the smoke even though it was on a ledge higher than where it was.
