"A big score? What's that supposed?" tanga Keny did not understand.
Monaliza did not immediately answer, she opened the cover of the gift box, then took the bright red envelope decorated with gold on the frame from inside the box and handed it to Keny.
"What's that?" asked Keny again, he hesitated to receive the envelope Monaliza had placed on him.
"Kak Keny and Brother Nadine can see it for themselves," Monaliza still thrust the bright red envelope at Keny and his wife.
Although still feeling doubtful, Keny finally still welcome him, he was curious what the contents of the envelope until Monaliza did not want to accept it.
Nadine clasped her body to her husband, watching what Keny was removing from the envelope.
"Penthouse ownership letter in Green House," Keny and Nadine muttered simultaneously while swallowing their saliva.
The two tried to hide their surprise, but Dirga and Monaliza who had noticed the two had caught the husband-wife's expression.
"Here-this, I've seen it in your name Mona. So, I don't think you should hesitate to accept it" said Keny, who had just overcome his shock.
"No brother. I can't accept anything from other men, because I'm married" Monaliza said.
"But the penthouse, when you look at the date of his retirement, before you married Mr. Dirga, right? So, I think Leon really wanted to give it to you Mona," Keny said.
"Sorry brother, it's not that I don't appreciate a gift or a gift from Leon. As I said earlier, I am married, not deserving of his gift" said Monaliza.
"Then, why don't you just give it back to Leon?" kenny looked at Monaliza.
"I had already refused this gift when the hotel manager gave it to us while we were staying at the hotel on our wedding day. But Leon sent it back to our house" Monaliza explained.
"So, I beg Keny, I'll give it back through brother. My relationship with Leon is over. I don't want Madam to misunderstand me anymore" said Monaliza with a hopeful face.
Keny thought for a while, he turned to his wife Nadine, who only shrugged her shoulders, so that her husband would decide for himself what to do.
The man understood why Monaliza did not want to be in touch with her family anymore, especially her mother who never liked the girl.
"All right then, I see," Keny pulled the box, intending to return the wide envelope to it. But his sight caught something still inside.
"What's this?" Keny took out a box that was slightly smaller than in that box. He looked at it carefully, and had seen the writing that was hung from the handle of the small box.
"What's in this box?" kenny asked, looking at Monaliza.
"I don't know, sister" said Monaliza, shaking her head.
"Didn't you open it?" ask Keny again feeling strange.
"No" said Monaliza, shaking her head again.
"This box, only you and Leon can open it" said Keny again glanced at the writing hanging on the handle of the box.
"And I don't want you to drop all these gifts, if I don't know what they are" Keny said. Honestly, he was very curious about the contents of the box, could it be a secret between Leon and Monaliza. But what secret? thought Keny was getting curious.
"But sister" Monaliza turned to Dirga, who was sitting quietly next to her, and she looked bad at her husband.
"Bring it all back. I don't want to accept an obscure seat" Keny said, leaning his back against the back of his sofa.
Monaliza turned to Dirga again, "May I open the gift?"monaliza's question sounds clumsy.
"That's your gift, and I don't forbid you from opening it" said Dirga briefly and flatly.
Monaliza was silent for a moment, frankly she felt a dilemma, between opening and not. If she opens it, how does Dirga feel when she as a wife still remembers and memorizes birthdays with her ex-lover?
But if not, Keny had threatened him not to accept all the goods were entrusted through him.
"We go home, sir," said Monaliza, who could not choose either.
Monaliza stuttered a little, she felt confused what to say. In fact, their relationship is very tight. She did not dare to change the call without her husband's permission, apalagj in public.
"My wife was too polite and used to be respectful towards me. Yeah, like we're in the office. Isn't that so dear?" chirped Dirga, then hugged Monaliza's waist with a thin smile looking at her wife's face.
Monaliza was shocked by Dirga's call to her, plus her husband's hand was hugging her waist so inevitably Monaliza had to stick to her husband.
"I-iya," said Monaliza suddenly felt nervous.
"Open that box. So that Mr. Keny and his wife can see the contents. Shouldn't we be home soon? Pregnant women should not be outdoors until late at night" Dirga continued.
"Certainly, can I open it?" monaliza asked still unsure.
"Yes, open it" said Dirga showing a reassuring look on his face.
Although still in doubt, Monaliza's hand finally reached the box that can only be opened by herself and Leon alone. His two fingertips began to press a few numbers on the button that was already available on the left side of the box.
As soon as Monaliza finished entering some numbers, the box cover then opened automatically slowly.
The glow of the yellow-green-blue-pink-red glow blends into one radiating out of the box, blinding the eyes when hit by the light of Keny's workspace lamp.
Nadine clutched Keny's hand tightly, as she saw two diamond necklaces, two bracelets, two rings, and two pairs of diamond earrings lying neatly inside the red base jewelry box. While Monaliza and Dirga looked at him with their own thoughts.
"Sir Keny-, me and Mr. Dirga, we'll excuse you first" said Monaliza breaking the silence between them.
"Are you sure you want to leave this whole thing here, Mona?" Keny stared at Monaliza's face, hoping that the woman would take the items away from her room.
"Hmm, yes brother," said Monaliza sure.
"Mona, think again. I'm sure, Leon really meant to give you all this" Keny said.
"I'm sorry, Keny, I still can't" said Monaliza.
"Well, I'll keep it for you Mona, if you change your mind come to me, I'll give it to you" said Keny, who eventually gave up.
"Okay, excuse me. It's been quite the night" back Bamitan Monaliza.
Keny got up from his seat, he moved and hugged Monaliza tightly. Dirga who saw him just silently watched him.
Monaliza returned Keny's embrace, the man she already considered like her own brother, as well as Keny. The man had known Monaliza well enough since she was only sixteen, the girl had worked with her to help her family's difficult economy.
After releasing his arms from Monaliza, Keny shook Dirga's hand, "I tucked my sister away, I believe you are able to take care of her" Keny said with her eyes reddened.
"Of course" said Dirga to return Keny's hand.
After Monaliza finished hugging Nadine, she and Dirga finally rushed out of Keny's study.
Once out of the lobby, without Monaliza's consent, Dirga immediately carried his wife's body into his carrier.
"Sir Dirga, please don't do this. Shame, this is in public" protested Monaliza who was really embarrassed, because there were a lot of visitors who had started to arrive.
"Be quiet. Circle your hands around my neck, and look me in the eyes with a friendly gaze," Dirga half-whispered.
"But" Monaliza tried to resist.
"Don't argue. You think I don't know what you've done to me in the bathroom for so long? Now it is your turn to act like your godwoman" Dirga ordered again.
Monaliza gasped, she did not expect Dirga to know. Forcibly, he obeyed what Dirga had told him. Circling her hands around Dirga's neck, and looking at her husband's face with a gaze made intimate.
Dirga smiled in satisfaction, as Monaliza obeyed and did everything she ordered. The tip of his lips was slightly interested in showing his almost invisible smile, looking at Leon who was looking at him coldly. Dirga passes, passing Leon who will enter the lobby.
