Dirga grew weak, when his future mother-in-law did not take him to the IGD or ICCU, but to the morgue.
"No. I can't go in, Ma." Dirga stopped his steps at the door.
"Mama must have been wrong to bring me here" said Dirga with his knees getting sluggish.
"No, Dirga. Mama's not wrong." Mother Han stopped her steps and turned towards Dirga who was still standing in the doorway.
"Let's see Megan, Dirga. She was already here and had been bathed by the nurses" Mother Han said tearfully.
Dirga stepped limping, his feet seemed to not rest on the floor. But he kept walking with his heavy steps towards the mortuary table, where Megan was laid.
He stared at the body that had been stretched stiff in front of him, and was covered in white cloth from the tip of his foot to the tip of his head.
His right hand stretched out tremblingly touching the white cloth that covered the face of the corpse before him.
"No way, Ma. It's definitely not Megan." Dirga pulled his hand, he did not reveal the white cloth of the corpse cover in front of him. He did not dare to face the reality.
"Dirga." Han's mother felt filled to see the attitude of Dirga, her future daughter-in-law.
"Ma, Megan is now on her way to Japan, she's still on the plane right now. Tomorrow, when he arrives, he'll call us to let us know." Dirga's voice trembled, trying to convince himself that the body before him was not Megan, his fiancee. He gave himself false hope.
"Look, Ma. This is proof of the message Megan sent to my phone" Dirga said, showing Megan the message she sent this afternoon.
"Megan said that today she went to Japan to become a violinist, and I can't stop her" Dirga said.
"Dirga." Mother Han was again filled with excitement, she did not expect her prospective daughter-in-law to be that fragile. He approached Dirga, then hugged the young man while crying. Dirga was like his own son.
"I'm sorry Mom and Dad, Dirga. We can't keep him from going to Japan." Mother Han's voice rang out in her cries. Dirga just stood glued in the arms of his future mother-in-law.
"If only we hadn't let him go this afternoon, the traffic accident wouldn't have hit him." Mother Han continued to speak as she pleased.
"Mama's so sorry, Dirga." Mother Han continued to cry bitterly. The sadness of his heart so suffocated his chest that it had started to age.
Mr. Han, who had been standing at the corner of his daughter's mortuary table, approached Ms. Han. He then hugged his wife with his future daughter-in-law while crying bitterly.
Firans who saw all of it also shed tears. He, Dirga, and Megan have been friends since I was in High School, already know each other very well. Megan's departure due to a traffic accident is indeed very surprising to all parties, including herself He does not believe that Megan, his best friend, has left so quickly.
He suddenly fell to the floor, he was unable to hold his joints to stand. His strength seemed to disappear just like that, as if he lacked potassium in his body.
"Dirga, wake up, son!" call Han's mother while pulling her daughter's fiancee's arm.
Dirga did not answer, his eyes were staring at the floor, he felt he had no hope in his life anymore.
All the dreams and hopes of her life have been taken away with Megan who has left her for good.
Dirga felt his chest so tight, but he could not cry, his strength seemed to be gone, he could only be silent a thousand languages. His common sense really cannot accept the harsh reality. Everything was like a nightmare. He wants to wake up, but he doesn't know how.
"The fans! Please take Dirga home, he needs rest. She seemed to be in shock over what had befallen Megan, "call Han's mother to Firans whom she already knew well, as she was friendly with her daughter and future daughter-in-law.
After holding Dirga to the side of the steering wheel, Firans put a seatbelt on Dirga's body. Dirga's gaze seemed empty looking ahead, there was no spirit of life there.
Firans drove Dirga's car, leaving Nusa Asia Hospital, to the residence of Dirga's parents.
Tin! Tin!
Firans honked the car horn as soon as he arrived in front of the sturdy fence of Dirga's old mansion.
A security guard swiftly opened the gate and let Firans in with his polite attitude.
Aunt Mila, a domestic assistant who was in a hurry to open the door of the house, to hear the sound of Dirga's car had arrived earlier than usual.
"Why's the family, Mas Firans?" aunt Mila asked worriedly, when she saw Dirga being pushed by her assistant out of the car. He never saw the condition of his master's son like that.
"Sir Dirga seems to be in shock, Bi. Megan's mother died in a traffic accident earlier this afternoon" Firans explained as he carried Dirga into the house.
"Inalillahi wainailaihi rojiun," said Aunt Mila while rubbing her face, she closed the door tightly, then followed in the footsteps of Firans and Dirga from behind.
"Sury's mother is home, Bi?" asked Firans, he continued to step up the stairs while tapping Dirga's body.
"Mom's in her room, Mas Firans. It seemed like she was getting ready to go to the hospital" said aunt Mila.
"What do you think Firans is drinking?" ask aunt Mila.
"No, thank you. I'll just take Mr. Dirga home for a moment. Make a warm drink for Mr. Dirga, it seems he really needs it" said Firans.
"Yes, Mas Firans." After hearing Firans say, Aunt Mila passed towards the kitchen to make a drink like Firans told her.
Firans led Dirga into her room. Soon Mother Surya came to Firans and Dirga who entered the room.
"I'm sorry, Mom, I want to go back to the office again" said Firans, he stood up and said goodbye to Ms. Surya.
"Thank you for bringing Dirga home, Firans," said Ms. Surya smiled faintly.
"Together, Mom." Firans then moved out of the room, leaving Dirga and her mother both in the room.
"Dirga?" Surya's mother approached her only son. He was also sad to see the condition of Dirga who was devastated by the departure of Megan, his fiancee.
"Ma, I just want to rest first for now," said Dirga still with a blank look.
"Alright, Honey. You rest. Mama wants to go to the hospital to accompany Father and Mother Han's family, pity them. They must have lost even more," Mother Surya's steam as she stared at her son's face.
Dirga just nodded weakly. He was still sitting on the edge of his bed. She still can't believe Megan's lover has left her for good. He hoped that Megan would actually be in Japan, in another part of the world that is still one world with her, not in a different world.
