102. Baby Who?

Ooeek! Ooeek! Ooeek!

Leon and his father stopped their steps right in the middle of the living room, both looking at each other and sharpening their hearing, paying close attention to the sound they heard.

"What is the sound of a baby?" ask Mr. Gamsonrich to Leon.

"It seems so Pa," said Leon who also noticed the sound of loud crying as a baby.

"But whose baby?" ask Mr. Gamsonrich again with a confused look.

"Entah Pa. How about we just go upstairs, "Leon's idea to the father. Mr. Gamsonrich nodded in agreement, and the father and son hurried up the steps to the top floor.

"It seems to be from Nadya's room" said Mr. Gamsonrich glanced at Leon walking by her side.

"Heum" Leon nodded. The two further accelerated their footsteps closer to the sound of the baby's cries becoming clearer.

Leon pushed the unlocked door wide open.

"Nadya! Whose baby is that?" leon asked hurriedly, he approached Nadya who was panicking to calm the red baby in her bed.

"I, I don't know Leon. Mama just asked me to babysit her while Mama came out to buy some formula, and some baby equipment" Nadya said with a still-panicked look.

"Please help me Leon. I did not understand how to care for it, from that day the baby continued to cry, I was confused what I should do," said Nadya pulled Leon's hand to get on her bed.

Leon turned his head towards his father, from the look of his eyes he looked hesitant, to obey Nadya's request. "Pa, i-I, I'm still confused how to hold the red baby, I don't know how yet" Leon said as if asking his father who did it.

Mr. Gamsonrich approached, carefully grabbing and holding the red baby who kept crying, while Leon and Nadya watched him with pity, hearing the baby's voice begin to weaken from crying too much.

"It's a baby boy" muttered Mr. Gamsonrich looking at Leon and Nadya who were looking at him.

Drrt. Drrt. Drrt.

Leon hurriedly grabbed his phone from his suit pocket. On the lighted screen he saw if his brother was on the phone.

📞"Hallo Kak.." greet Leon after sliding the green button. He moved towards the balcony of Nadya's room, so that he could more clearly hear her brother's voice.

"But why Brother? Monaliza salvage? She's okay, right?" berondong Leon panicked, worried if something bad happened to his ex-girlfriend.

📞"Don't worry Leon, Monaliza gave birth safely, so did the baby. Just--"

Leon who was initially relieved returned panicked to hear his brother's words that were not immediately resolved.

📞"What's it all, brother? Speak clearly," said Leon a little pushy because of his panic that he could not resist.

📞"There's a baby voice," Kenny sharpens his hearing from across the phone. "Whose baby is Leon?" kenny asked still sharpening his hearing.

📞"I also don't know Kak, according to Nadya Mama who brought him home. And now Mama is out to buy milk and other baby needs." said Leon according to Nadya's explanation.

📞Sunday, lest it's baby Monaliza who has gone missing this afternoon," Kenny said.

📞"You mean Kenny baby Monaliza is missing??" ask Leon to make sure.

📞"Yes Leon, right now.Monaliza is still crying for her baby boy, because two hours ago, the baby disappeared when she was about to breastfeed." explained Kenny.

📞"Good sister Kenny, I know what I have to do now. Send me the hospital address, I'll take this baby there now," after saying so Leon immediately hung up his phone and put it back in his pocket.

"Why did Kenny call you Leon?" asked Mr. Gamsonrich as soon as he saw Leon had just finished speaking on the phone.

"Monaliza just gave birth yesterday, and her baby boy is missing. Let's just take this baby to the hospital, who knows this is Monaliza Pa's baby" Leon told his father.

"There is no way your mother kidnapped the baby Monaliza Leon, maybe this baby was adopted," said Mr. Gamsonrich, but in her heart she felt strange, if she adopted her wife why she did not even know it.

"Let's see Pa, we're in the hospital right now, Leon's worried about the baby getting weaker," Leon looked at the red baby who was still crying in his weak voice.

"If not, that's Pa's business. This baby needs immediate treatment. If something bad happens to this baby, we'll be blamed" Leon said, staring at his father.

"We're leaving now, I'm driving, Papa's carrying the baby" said Leon, dividing the task, and in a hurry, he walked first to the exit.

"I'm coming!" Nadya immediately got out of her bed, and ran after Leon and her father-in-law who first came out of her room.
