ANAN AND ZIYA

"Mas Bule, don't you have lunch?" ning Ziya asked worriedly. From morning the young man continued to drink coffee. There were already three empty cups there, even the ashtray was almost full by cigarette butts.

William raised his head, looking at the girl who had been worrying about him. He smiled thinly. "I'll eat if I'm hungry" he replied.

Ning Ziya. He knew that the young man who had once been as close as his brother was in the midst of a great burden of thought. And as always, he would never share. William has completely shut himself down over the past three years.

A thought suddenly flashed through his mind. He was sure, for this time William would not refuse his lunch offer again.

"But, Mas Bule. Mum ...."

"I know more about my own body, Ning. You don't have to worry," cut William up tightly.

Ning Ziya pouted, not willing to give up yet. He had to reach his goal, make William lunch. "You are right. It's just that, Mas Anan would be sad if he knew Mas Bule couldn't take care of himself. Mas Anan said ...."

"Okay, enough!" cut William again. The young man sighed, resigned. "Gue wants to eat."

Ning Ziya smiled happily. "What does Mas Bule want to make?"

"Just hodgepodge," he answered briefly.

William's request made Ning Ziya's smile fade away. It was Anan's favorite food.

Even so, he still nodded and went to the pantry to make the food. Although her heart was sad for having to remember the memories with Anan, but Ning Ziya had to remain professional. At least, he had managed to persuade William to have lunch.

Ning Ziya looked up at the ceiling with teary eyes. "Are you happy up there?" he said with a grin.

Three years had passed, but the feeling still remained firmly enthroned. To date, Anan has not been replaced.

Ning Ziya came back with a plate of hodgepodge and a glass of lemon tea. He lowered the food while taking a long breath. The fourth cup of coffee was empty, and a cigarette had been re-ignited.

"Mas Bule, Mas Anan would be very sad to see you like this."

William just glanced at it. He switched off his cigarette, then took out a plate of the hodgepodge and slowly started eating it.

Ning Ziya turned his shoulders, not knowing what else to behave like. He chose to leave the young man six years older than him. Ning Ziya again busied herself in the pantry with her employees. Even so, occasionally he still paid attention to the person who until now still considered as an older brother.

If looking into the past, Ning Ziya's feelings were no less shattered. She fell in love at such a young age, but had to swallow the harsh reality because her loved ones left first before she actually managed to embrace it.

"Don't expect too much from something that's never certain, Zizi. Open your heart to the obvious. Or if not, you will torture and hurt yourself. Stop before that happens. I don't want to see you get hurt."

Anan's request that he stop having feelings for the wise young man had never Ning Ziya forget at all. Only, if the heart has chosen to settle in one place, what can he do? Ning Ziya was aware that it was painful, but having feelings for Anan was something he would never regret.

When Anan sternly asked her to never have more wishes and chose to be a friend, Ning Ziya thought she could definitely forget that figure slowly. However, when the first accident happened to Anan right in front of his eyes, he realized that the young man was very meaningful.

"Mas .... Wake up, Mas Anan. Don't be like this. Ziya was afraid. Don't stay in Ziya!"

The feeling of pain when seeing Anan close his eyes while on the way to the hospital back then Ning Ziya could still feel until now. It was nothing compared to Anan's departure. But the incident has been imprinted in his mind, because for the first time he experienced how afraid he felt to lose.

Luckily, Anan was fine, though God picked him up in a different way.

The sound of the door opening woke William that morning. Although that person's movements were very careful, in fact it could still tease the young man. Since Algo's death, William's sleep has never been quiet. He looked at a sweet girl who had just entered and looked clumsy, with her hands still folded on her chest.

"Mas Bule, sorry. Ning Ziya was disturbing, huh?"

William got up from the chair, then stretched his body and neck that felt stiff. "You came in the morning?" ask her with a slightly hoarse voice.

Ning Ziya smiled shyly. "I'm worried about Mas Anan" he said.

William looked at the girl's blushing face, then left her to the bathroom. "So soon he too woke up," he said, then went in and locked the door.

Ning Ziya watched the young man who was lying on the bed with that pale face. The oxygen mask has been removed since the early morning examination. Anan may not be as handsome and tall as William. However, he has his own charm, especially his face which is one hundred percent the original face of the Indonesian. She looks beautiful, especially in the eyes of the girl who has just tasted the sweetness of falling in love.

"Zizzie. Why are you here?"

That question ripped Ning Ziya from her daydream. Zizi is Anan's affectionate call to her.

"Mas Anan is awake?" Ning Ziya smiled sweetly, feeling happy to see Anan's condition getting better.

Anan nodded weakly at him. "No college?" ask her gently.

"College, Mas. Enter a little afternoon. It's also seven o'clock" he said.

"Why are you here so early in the morning?" ask Anan again

Ning Ziya smiled awkwardly. "I was making porridge for Mas Anan," he explained, while showing the food he brought. "I drove him still warm. Mas Anan breakfast, yes. I'm ready to."

The girl happily opened and prepared the food, without even waiting for Anan's approval. He did it very deftly. A savory and fragrant aroma instantly billowed through the air, entering into Anan's olfactory and making him feel hungry.

"Mas Anan gargle first, yes," Ziya pinta as she gives him a glass of water. He waits for Anan with a basin, asking Anan to spit out his former mouthpiece there without any disgust. After which, Ning Ziya put away the basin. He took the bowl of porridge that he had prepared, and brought it to Anan.

"I'm bribing, yeah. Mas Anan is still limp, right?" tawar Ziya's. Anan was just about to reply when a deheman sound came from the direction of the bathroom.

They looked at it simultaneously. William was out of the bathroom. He leaned his back against the wall, noticing the familiar interaction of the two.

"It feels like a mosquito repellent, me," William quipped.

Ning Ziya was downcast, his face harrumphed in embarrassment. While Anan scowled not happy to look at William.

"He's a big one. Make your own food." William took out a bowl of porridge from Ning Ziya's hand, giving it to Anan. "Mas Anan will not faint just because of eating alone" he said.

Ning Ziya was silent as he lowered his head, not daring to answer William's words.

"Let him have breakfast first. We'll go outside for a second. There's something we should talk about," William asked Ning Ziya. The girl understands. He nodded in agreement.

"Mas Anan used up his porridge first, yes. Zizi wanted to go outside for a while," she said, to which Anan immediately replied a nod and smile.

"Chat it later!" exclaiming William.

Ning Ziya looked down embarrassed. He followed the young man out of the room.
