Karina had just finished mending when she heard a knock from the main door. His forehead frowned in wonder, there was no way William could come that fast, considering that the young man had just called a few minutes ago.
"Didn't he just say he was leaving?" he murmured, feeling something strange.
Despite feeling something was wrong, Karina still came down to open the door. If that's true William, he won't make her wait too long. After the door he opened, his mouth gaped in disbelief. It doesn't look like anyone's there.
"Feelings, I didn't hear wrong" he said.
Just as he was pensive in confusion, a name suddenly appeared in his mind. At once Karina's heart felt as if it was about to jump out of place. The woman hurried to close the door and did not forget to lock it. Leaning behind the door, he gasped in fear.
"There's no way she is!" ogre.
Karina's body is goosebumps. He caught his breath, trying to calm his heartbeat that was beating too fast. He has to find the rush to eliminate unwanted thoughts. Karina decides to go to the kitchen and help her domestic assistant arrange the dishes.
"I help, yeah, Bik."
"Good, Non." The middle-aged housekeeper smiled politely.
In twenty minutes the dish was served neatly. Karina helped her father move from a wheelchair to a dining table chair. Despite the slight difficulty, the woman kept smiling.
Seeing her daughter's blushing face, Bramantyo chuckled happily.
"This is the first time Daddy has seen you so happy. Is this young man your first love, Karin?" tanyanya while smiling seductively.
Karina should have been timid to hear the temptation from her father. However, the woman's smile slowly dimmed. He closed his eyes, deciding he wanted to tell Daddy the truth he had been keeping, even if it was painful. "Dad, actually ...."
Tok tok!
Karina breathed a sigh of relief, the knock finally saved her. If Karina really said it, her daddy would not only be disappointed. The middle-aged man would definitely blame himself, feeling that he was the cause of his unhappy daughter. He smiled, then gently stroked the shoulder of the man who had become his first love.
"Dad, it looks like he's coming" he said, leaving the middle-aged man to see who has knocked on the door.
Still afraid of the previous knock, Karina decided to take a peek first from the window curtain. Upon seeing it was really William, he hurriedly went to open the door. His face was radiant as he looked at his beloved.
"Will!" his joy, could not hide his pleasure.
Some time ago Karina hesitated, thinking that William might not actually come. Now he could see that his lover's face was really in sight, and a feeling of happiness overflowed instantly.
"What's up, Will?" asked Karina when she realized William's face was a little moody.
William changed his face, forcing him to smile. "Just miss you" he said. Karina breathed a sigh of relief.
The two people who were still in love were also looking friendly at each other. A smile bloomed on the face of the beautiful woman who was wearing the knee-length black dress.
"I don't think you came" she said, hugging William spoiledly.
William smiled faintly, though Karina could not see him. Luckily he did not withdraw his decision. If he did, he would definitely see the disappointed look of his lover.
"I have something for you" said William.
Karina took off her arms. His eyes gasped as William gave him a bouquet of white roses.
"It's so pretty," he marveled.
Karina is fascinated by William's sweet treatment. He looked at the flower with sparkling eyes, not forgetting to smell the fragrance. The woman did not know that William was desperately holding back his curiosity about the item he had just found.

"Hello, Om. I'm William. His girlfriend Karina," said William, introduced herself awkwardly to Bramantyo. Daddy Karina who had been sitting there waiting was smiling while receiving a helping hand from the young man who loved his daughter.
"It's worth my daughter being so excited when she tells me about you. You do look amazing, son," she said, making William smile in shame.
"What is your job?" ask, without further ado.
Karina has not been very open to him. He was just saying that the middle was close to someone, the bresteran youth surnamed Ferdinand. Her daughter never explained more about the person she loved.
"Now I'm just an assistant chef, Om. This year the company is promoting me to be one of their main chefs" William said confidently.
Bramantyo nodded, pleased with the open attitude of his future son-in-law. "That's great. You're very young, but you have an incredible talent. My daughter did not choose wrongly," he praised proudly.
While Karina could only look down after hearing her daddy's words. Her father had no idea what she had been through before deciding to get into a relationship with William. He had not only been wrongly chosen, but had also been wrong for hiding such a great thing from his father. However, he had no choice.
"Sorry, Dad," her inner self. It was the only option he had. If Bramantyo knew that what had happened to him had something to do with Karina, perhaps such words would not have continued from her lips.
"Om glad that finally the princess is there to take care of."
The middle-aged man let out a sad sigh, his eyes that were no longer as sharp as they used to be staring blankly at the ceiling. He still remembers very much when Karina was always a jewel for him and his wife. They always pamper Karina and fulfill whatever she wants. Until when the girl entered junior high school, her mother was diagnosed with liver cancer. The woman survived only four years. Bramantyo is very sad. He was devastated and lost, but he knew it would be impossible to resist the will of the universe. Though difficult, she slowly begins to accept the reality and vows to never marry again.
"After her mommy's departure, she must learn to live independently. And was forced to be more independent after I was in an accident and Karina had to be the backbone" he said.
Three years after the death of his wife, Bramantyo suddenly in PHK without explanation. At that time, Karina was entering her third semester. As if the universe had not felt enough with what he had suffered, soon after he had an accident while looking for job information. She could do nothing but do all her activities in a wheelchair, after doctors said her legs were completely paralyzed.
Inevitably Karina has to take responsibility for all their living expenses. Although only using one household assistant who does not stay there every day, and a gardener who comes every two weeks, in fact, their living costs need a lot of expenses.
Not knowing what to say to appease his lover's father, William preferred to be quiet and listener.
"Dad ...." Karina could no longer bear to see her daddy's eyes that were starting to red and teary. He knew his daddy was trying not to shed a tear.
Bramantyo was not an emotional person. She hates people who are whiny, and often reminds Karina not to be like them. Before the end little by little the universe toyed with his life, and he felt for himself what life was like as a dying man.
Bramantyo chuckled at the anxious face of her daughter. He gently rubbed Karina's shoulder.
"This is the first time you've introduced someone to me. It seems, William is the only person you've ever loved."
Karina's heart feels pias. He lowered his head, hiding the glint of guilt that emerged from his eyes. If only the middle-aged man knew the truth ....
"Dad, the food is getting cold" Karina interrupted with a smile. He didn't want the melancholy conversation to drag on. "It will not be good anymore" he said while pursing his lips.
Bramantyo knew that her daughter did not want to continue the conversation. He gently rubbed the head of his daughter who was crouching in front of him affectionately.
"Daughter's right. Let's eat first. We will continue to talk again, "agreeably.
William nodded, then sat in the chair opposite Daddy Karina. Meanwhile, Karina sits beside Bramantyo while serving her father.
In an instant the room became quiet. Only the clinking of spoons and forks that occasionally rang broke the silence. William eats quietly, he always likes home cooking because it feels like eating with a family.
No one knew if that dinner would be their first and last!
