Chapter 45. Arimbi and His Confession

Nick walked in with a definite step into a restaurant. From a distance he saw a woman he had made a pact with. Nick smiled so much in front of the woman.

Arimbi stood up and wanted to hug Nick, but the man dodged it by rewinding his body. He sat across the table from the woman.

"How's Nick doing, why are you avoiding me? I've been waiting a month for news from you. However, there is no answer. What's my fault, Nick?" arimbi asked with a trembling voice.

Nick seemed to be smiling obliquely in response to Arimbi's remark. He had grown fed up with the woman in front of him at this moment.

"Just tell me honestly, are you the one who asked people to rape my sister!" snapped Nick.

"What are you talking about Nick? Who's yours sister? I don't know him!" arimbi. He became afraid to see Nick's stiffened face and looked at him sharply. It seemed as if the man was holding back his anger.

"My sister's name is Rachel, Rafael's girlfriend!" said Nick. Arimbi's face looked pale as Nick said who he meant.

"You can't accuse me of that. I never asked anyone to rape my sister. It's all on their will" Arimbi said.

"I know you asked someone to hurt my sister" Nick said with emotion.

"I swear no one asked anyone to harm your sister!" arimbi said firmly.

"We can meet the criminal who killed your sister. How do I think about hurting while I'm drunk!" arimbi.

Nick does not have evidence of Arimbi's involvement in the murder of his sister, but he has evidence of other Arimbi crimes.

"What about the accident that Rangga experienced. Are you avoiding it too if it's what you're doing?" ask Nick.

Arimbi just kept silent not answering. In his heart asked what was the relationship between Nick and Rangga? Have they known you for a long time? Meaning since Rafael's been dating Rachel? Thought Arimbi.

Nick is getting closer to the truth. He had investigated if Arimbi had asked someone to hit Rangga's car.

“You know, I won't stop until you admit what you did,” Nick said as he sat in front of the woman sitting on the sofa.

“I-I didn't do anything,” replied Arimbi with a frightened look.

“No-no, I didn't plan that. I don't know anything,” replied Arimbi again nervously.

“Do you know how much loss Rangga suffered? He lost a car, almost lost his life too, and now he has to be disabled. All because of what you did. So, what do you really want?” ask Nick out loud.

Arimbi looks uncomfortable and continues to shake his head. Nick knew he had to find the right way to get her to confess.

“How can I prove that I did nothing?” arimbi asked in a full tone of disbelief.

“I don't know. Maybe you can tell me who you told me to hit Rangga's car. You know who it is, and I know you know,” Nick said firmly.

The woman looked doubtful and did not want to tell who the real culprit was. Nick could feel the fear in him and he felt a little regret for beating the woman so hard. But he couldn't back down now, he had to get an answer.

“You must confess, otherwise, I will not let you go. I don't know what can happen to you if I don't get the truth out of you,” Nick said in a cold and stern tone.

The woman looked increasingly agitated and panicked. Arimbi knew he had to confess to Nick, otherwise he feared he would be punished even more severely.

“I will confess, I will tell you everything,” Arimbi said while crying.

Nick feels he got a small win and he finally got the answer he wanted from the woman. He knows there is still a lot of hard work to do, but he is confident he can solve all of this.

“Alright, tell me everything. Don't forget there are consequences of your actions,” Nick in a serious tone.

The woman then tells Nick about everything. He tells someone to hit Rangga's car because he does not like the relationship Rangga and Cinta who seem to start improving. Nick was not surprised by the confession, but he was also relieved that he finally had enough evidence to bring him to justice.

Finally, after a long and tiring conversation, Nick was finally able to end the intimidation of Arimbi. Without the woman knowing Nick has reported the evil deeds to the police. The police have surrounded where they are.

"Sorry Arimbi, you have to take responsibility for what you did" Nick said. He then gave a code to someone so that three police officers entered their table. Arimbi stared in disbelief at what Nick was doing.

"You set me up?" ask Arimbi. He couldn't possibly escape again. Arimbi accepted his hand in police handcuffs.
