Chapter 44. The arrival of Nick

Rangga felt his life was happy again since Love was with him again. His wife is currently pregnant with their first child and he is very much waiting for the birth of the baby. Rangga, on the other hand, could not feel perfect happiness like his wife. He suffered from defects in both legs so he could not stand or walk without the help of a cane.

However, despite his disability, Rangga is a devoted husband and loves Love so much. He had only realized everything since the departure of his wife.

Rangga always tries to give the best for his family. They had experienced many challenges together, and although Rangga knew that this journey would not be easy, he patiently waited for the birth of their child.

"So the doctor said everything was fine" Cinta said as she arrived home. He just got home from control. Initially Rangga wanted to come along, but he was afraid it would add to his wife's burden.

"Alhamdulillah," said Rangga while looking at Love with a sincere smile.

They talked for a while about their soon-to-be-born fetuses. Love is happy because Rangga has always encouraged and supported him. She knew that her husband's presence on the side always gave her vigor and strength.

"Mas, we have to prepare something for the baby" said Cinta after a while talking.

"You mean?" ask Rangga.

"We have to buy some baby supplies like clothes, bottles, and so on." Continue Love.

"Oh, yeah. We will do it as soon as possible" Rangga said with a soft face.

As they moved into the bedroom, Love saw a book with a white cover typed on his desk. He picked up the book and read it.

"This is what, Mas?" tanya Cinta, while showing the book to Rangga.

"Ah, that's just a note I wrote for our son later. Since I can't go out and do much, I want to create a book that contains my hopes and my prayers for our child" Rangga explained.

Love smiles with haru. She could not imagine how Rangga felt, but she knew that whenever her husband did something like this, it showed how much love he had for their family.

"Let's read it together" said Love as they both lay in bed.

They read it in turn, and although some things in the book make Cinta feel sad, she knows that Rangga is trying to give his best to their family. They continued to read until they fell asleep with happiness in their hearts.

A month has passed, Love is getting busier with the preparation for the birth of her first child. She goes to the store to buy the baby gear she needs, and if she can't go, she orders it online. He was also busy making a restroom in the corner of the house for the little one, although the time was still quite long.

"Please cut this well" said Rangga as the woodcarver arrived home to make her baby crib.

Sometimes, Rangga feels like he can't do much because of his disability, but he always finds a way to give his family the best.

"It's over, sir," said the woodcarver with a tired face.

"Thank you," Rangga said with a smile.

Birds were singing cheerfully out there and the breeze greeted their bodies inside his room. Husband who although like a dwarf but full of affection for his wife and future baby. Love takes good care of Rangga, and her husband also always accompanies Cinta patiently when she has a pregnancy disorder. Gratitude is the only proper word to describe their marriage.

"I can't wait to see her face," Rangga said as she rubbed the belly of Love.

"Can't wait?" ask for love with a smile.

"Surely she is as beautiful as you," said Rangga while continuing to wipe his wife's distended stomach.

"Of course she is beautiful, her father is also so handsome," said Cinta.

Now Love feels the real marriage. Perhaps this is what is said if behind every disaster there must be a silver lining.

Rangga smiled at his wife's words. She invites Love to lie down and close her eyes.

In the morning when Cinta and Rangga will eat the breakfast that the woman cooked earlier, the sound of the door on the knock. Aunt who helps at home, opens the door. Nick walked in towards them.

"Fly, let's have breakfast!" bring Love.

Nick smiled and sat down in front of them. Love took the fried rice and its complement to the plate and handed it to Nick.

"I'm actually here to say, if my man has found out who hit Rangga" Nick said.

Rangga and Cinta look at each other to hear Nick's words. They wonder if the accident was intentional or just a disaster.

"Did you report to the police?" ask Love.

"I'm going to meet that guy first, just reporting. I want to know the reaction" Nick said.

"Is that harmless? Brother should just report," said Love worried. He didn't want anything to happen to his foster brother.

"You don't worry, I'm not a child" Nick smiled.

Rangga clasped Love's hand and nodded his head. He told Love if he agreed with Nick. Love had to follow Nick's plan.
