Chapter 77 - Guest of the Day

Elvira put on a lazy face when she saw the sudden presence of Nevan today in her room.

“I ... apologize,” said Nevan who still regrets his actions against Elvira yesterday.

Elvira folded her hands on her chest, then looked at her coldly. “Go," he said.

“Truly angry huh? I'm sorry.”

“It's over, I'm busy.” Elvira immediately picked up a map on her desk and left.

He felt very afraid to see the face of Elvira who seemed to be seriously angry with him, he was even willing to eliminate his current wife in order to reach out for Elvira's forgiveness.

“Stand!” pinta Elvira, but not by the man. Elvira feels Nevan is overdone.

“You are blocking my way, I have to go to the meeting room now,” Elvira said.

Someone suddenly knocked on the door and immediately opened it, Dara entered casually as she normally would if she got directions to be asked to the room of Elvira. But his eyes immediately looked at the scene in front of him.

“Iya, please bring the paper on the table to the meeting room yes,” Elvira's decree that Dara directly worked on.

Nevan breathed a rough breath as soon as Dara had left the room.

Elvira looked at him feeling innocent. “I didn't ask you to do it.”

“But you forgive me, right? Want to take a walk today? I know your mood must be not good.”

“I have to be in a meeting now.”

“After the meeting, I will wait for you. Wanna go somewhere? I paid.”

“Waiting for me to finish the meeting? You have a lot of free time?” elvira did not believe it.

“I will take my time today, there is Sakti that is still reliable in the office.”

“Basic.” Elvira glared at him then immediately passed without giving a definite answer.

“I'm serious, go with me today.”

Elvira, who had stopped for a moment, turned to Nevan, who was waiting for her answer. “I want to eat ice cream,” he said, who immediately got a reply to a feisty smile from Nevan.

Nevan, who decided to wait for Elvira who was still in a meeting, now looks riled up himself because in fact he is not used to waiting. Many times he glanced at the circular watch on his wrist, but it felt like time was moving slowly.

He occasionally glanced at the door of a room labeled meeting room, but there seemed to be no sign of Elvira leaving the room.

As moments pass, Nevan is surprised by the arrival of Gio who seems to want to meet Elvira.

Nevan immediately stood up from her seat welcoming the presence of the man with a cold look. “What else do you want?”

“It is clear, I want to meet with Elvira,” replied Gio casually.

“I don't think there's anything to discuss anymore ‘kan with my sister-in-law?”

“I ran into Elvira, I don't think it's any of your business.” Gio returned that cold gaze.

So that the creation of an unexplained tension when the two pairs of eyes were exchanged for sight.

Elvira who had just come out of the meeting room was surprised there was already a man who seemed to be waiting for her.

Both of them immediately turned their eyes to him when they realized the existence of Elvira, the two pairs were both looking at the woman in front of them at the moment.

“Can I talk to you for a minute?” ask Gio.

“Iya.” Elvira then directed her to enter her room.

“But ...” Nevan seems to be opposed.

Arriving at his study, Elvira invited his guest to sit down while he also sat on the sofa. Elvira seemed reluctant to ask him first about the purpose of his arrival.

While Gio for a moment was still thinking about stringing words to start the conversation after previously spending a lot of time almost overnight to reflect on what had happened.

“Why can he do that low? Where is your husband now? Let me meet him, how can he bring his cheating woman to live at home with you? Did he never think about how you felt?” What kind of man is he?!” ask Gio who doesn't seem to know much about Elvira's life.

“She died not long ago.”

Suddenly a phone call came from Gio's cellphone which required him to answer immediately.

“Halo, yes Ma? .... Yes, then I will be there soon,” Gio said speaking to someone by phone.

Elvira let him just want to know about his business.

“I have to go now. But I promise, I will make Anya kneel and apologize to you.”

Gio immediately said goodbye, he seemed to rush out of the room. Upon arriving at the front when meeting Nevan who still looks riled up there, Gio chose to be indifferent.

Just now that his steps were in front of the main door of the office, Gio accidentally passed by Olla who recognized him immediately.

“Kak Gio?” greet Olla was full of question marks since they could happen to meet here.

“Olla? You here?” asked Gio who was no less surprised.

“Kak Gio what are you doing here?”

“I just met Mother Elvira,” replied Gio.

“Oh my goodness, I also want to meet Elvira. So Kak Gio also knows Elvira?”

“Iya.”

“Kok can yes, he's a close friend of mine, Kak,” said Olla.

“Oh yes?” Gio nodded for a moment. “ Then, I go first,” his farewell, Olla noticed it seemed like she was in a hurry.

Olla immediately stepped in and she met Elvira who seemed to be preparing to go out, Olla noticed her carrying a bag.

“Olla? Why didn't you come to tell?” Elvira looked surprised by the arrival of this one guest again, she glanced briefly at Nevan who was still faithfully waiting.

“It must be yes? By the way, you want out?” ask Olla curiously. Elvira nodded.

Olla immediately grabbed his hand and held it tightly. “Ra! Please, I'll talk to you for a minute.” Olla put on a heartbreaking face hoping that her request would be granted.

“Do I have to wait again?” Nevan, now standing from his seat, approached them.

“Just a moment, yes,” pinta Elvira sounds begging.

If only he hadn't been in the process of apologizing to Elvira, Nevan's frustration might have exploded in front of him.

“Just a minute.” Elvira repeated her words, then immediately went with Olla to her room.

"Elvy! I'm so sorry!” said Olla made Elvira delicately wonder full of questions. He looked at Olla's agitated face.

“Sorry?” Elvira repeated.

“Iya, I'm really sorry to have accused Sakti of such an assortment.”

“What's the reason?”

“Elvira, you should know the truth.”

Olla let out a short sigh then immediately told me exactly what Sakti explained yesterday and the real reason for not contacting and looking for Olla again.

Olla really while feeling sad when telling how Sakti said like he could release her from Sakti's life. Elvira also gave her full attention while listening to the speech from Olla.

Elvira met Nevan's visibly upset face, today Elvira really tested her patience.

Both of them are currently enjoying ice cream while feeling the exposure of fresh air that blows softly in the middle of the day under the shade of trees that adorn the banks of this river.

Seen in front there are separated river flow, emblazoned with the view of the city with the flow of traffic as usual, some water transportation that was active in the river did not escape their attention.  

“The place here is much more soothing, isn't it?” elvira asked while looking at Nevan who was beside her. “Today don't discuss anything, I want to enjoy this moment.”

Nevan agreed. He noticed the strands of smiles engraved on Elvira's face, how cheerful the woman was today who looked so happy enjoying the ice cream in her hands.

Even when Elvira takes her eyes off him, Nevan is still lured to keep looking at him.

I don't know how far the feeling of attraction has gone in the recesses of his heart, which he knows the woman in front of him is currently making him unable to turn away.

But when he recalled the boundaries that existed between them, especially after what Elvira experienced so far because of the actions of her brother made Nevan feel that there was a distance between them.
