Chapter 03-The Beginning of the Bitter Reality

The woman threw a smile at Elvira and immediately added a step to approach.

“Bu Elvira,” greet him in a friendly manner.

“You?” Elvira remembers seeing her several times in her husband's office.

Rarely willing to take care of Daffin's job, Elvira does not know anyone who works with her husband, except Sakti the personal assistant and Daffin's confidant.

Suddenly, Elvira's vision is sidetracked by Nevan, who has just come out of nowhere.

“What business is it?” ask Nevan to Anya.

“I Anya, secretary to Mr. Daffin. I want to know the development of Mr. Daffin's condition because since Mr. Daffin's accident there have been many cancellations and changes to the schedule of meetings with some of his business partners,”.

"Let's talk about it" Nevan said.

He turned his eyes to Elvira. “Why did you come out? Didn't I remind you not to leave your bed."

“I just want to see my husband,” replied Elvira casually.

“Suster, please take Mother Elvira back to her nursery,” pinta Nevan, and immediately agreed by the nurse.

A door of the room opened and someone entered to distract Elvira. Still in his wheelchair since returning to his nursery, he turned his head and there was Raldy who came seemed to want to check his condition.

“You alone? How are you doing today? Already feel much better?” raldy asked kindly without removing the smile.

“I feel bored here, Brother,” said Elvira replied and made the man look at her again. He was impressed because Elvira never forgot the call for him.

Raldy again threw a smile as he said, “For a long time no see. Glad to see you again, it looks like you are living well so far.”

“I'm also glad to see Raldy again.”

Raldy crouched down and aligned himself with Elvira. “Thank God you can get through your critical period after the accident, you survived very well.”

“How are Mother and Sister Asty?” asked Elvira suddenly, this time with a sad face when remembering the two names.

Since taking the decision to marry Daffin, Elvira cut off her relationship with her mother and sister. Elvira thought that because of that they would probably hate her so much and had forgotten all about her.

Raldy is the closest person to their family, he made friends with Asty—kaknya Elvira for many years and a little Raldy know about what happened to their family.

Raldy even knew that there had never been a good relationship between Elvira and her mother.

“They are fine. Don't you have any intention of visiting Widya's mother? About a week ago your mother was treated here for an acute ulcer she suffered.”

“Yeah, mom. Did he never pay attention to his health.” Elvira was both shocked and saddened to hear it.

He left not to forget them, but there were things that really made him feel the need to leave and live away from them and let them continue to hate him.

Elvira now feels really far away with her family. Even though he had known a truth about them, he still could not easily remove them from his life. Moreover, hearing the news if his mother had been sick really made her mind moan because she was worried about her condition.

“I don't even know if I still deserve to appear before them, I just want them to forget me,” Elvira said as she held a puddle of water in the corner of her eye.

Someone just opened the door of the room and saw Nevan entering but he was surprised by the scene in front of him between the two people who looked familiar.

Raldy immediately brought himself to stand up and greet him, while Elvira hurriedly wiped her tears while throwing her face away. Feeling that it is enough to check the patient, Raldy immediately excused.

“You're done with that secretary?” ask Elvira base stale.

“Iya, I'm here just to make sure you're in your nursery. Rest, instead of saying your doctor must rest a lot.”

“Nevan, I'm tired of being here. I want to take a walk,” said Elvira.

“Let's go.” Nevan then approached towards him, he looked at Elvira with full investigation. “You know that doctor?”

But at this moment he saw Nevan's full view of him, Elvira thought she would confess. "I only know him.”

“Oh yes? Why do I see it a little differently?” Nevan is still not satisfied with his brother-in-law's answer.

“I know him well. We've known you for a long time before I married your sister."

But Nevan soon leaves without caring for Elvira's affirmation.

Today Elvira felt that her condition was much better. While sitting in a wheelchair, he looked up at the man who had just finished saving his phone after receiving the call.

From what Elvira had heard from a distance, it seemed like the man had just discussed the matter of work in the office.

Sakti, he is a confidant of Daffin as well as a close friend of Daffin because of their long-established togetherness. Since Daffin was in the hospital, he was the most busy man taking care of the work in the company. He is one of the people who are close to Elvira and most know how Daffin tried to get Elvira.

“Sakti,” call it.

“Iya, Mum.”

“You've had breakfast?” ask Elvira.

“Numbered, Mom. Later on.”

“You just go for it. I'm okay with being alone."

“But Bu.”

“It's okay, you just relax over breakfast. Do not let you get sick because of fatigue standing guard here, you will also still have to take care of some business in the company.” Elvira's speech almost sounded like a form of attention.

But he was also actually looking for a way to get out of this room immediately. Because he already knows for sure if the current Sakti in carrying out orders from Nevan who always forbid him out of this room that for Elvira really bored him.

He then stared in annoyance at the pedestal of the infusion bag beside him which was actually innocent. Because he was about to escape from here, Elvira just took off the infusion needle attached to his hand with great care, he hissed sickly because of it.

Meanwhile Anya today returned to see her boss in the treatment room, coming under the pretext of delivering some company files requested by Nevan yesterday.

He is very happy to see Daffin even now he is helping to wipe Daffin's face with a small towel to keep his skin clean.

Anya sighed and wiped her tears that were about to drip. He remembered the sweetness of Daffin's smile when he was looking at him as well as Daffin's very gentle treatment to him.However he did not expect that Daffin's attitude would change so quickly.

Even when working, Daffin just treat him like an ordinary employee so that Daffin never wants to talk to him outside about work.

Anya took her phone and opened a private chat room with Daffin, looking a lot of messages sent so far but as if it means nothing to Daffin, he said, even the man was never willing to reciprocate after severing their relationship unilaterally.

Anya smiled cynically at the series of unrequited messages in the message chat room, he was like a terror who disturbed Daffin.

But he only realized something, considering that the day was based on the info was the day where Daffin and Elvira had an accident, Anya was stunned for a moment to see the contents of her message sent at the hour adjacent to the incident.

Anya then looked again at Daffin and regretted his actions, he really did not know if at that time Daffin was on his way. He only got word if Daffin took two days off to go on vacation with his wife and that made Anya very upset.

Anya back save his phone, he hoped if the terror phone and messages from him at that time had nothing to do with the cause of the Daffin accident. Anya then sighed for a moment to calm down and continued to wipe Daffin's face with tenderness and affection.

Not long after Elvira had arrived at Daffin's room. Yes, her initial goal when coming out of her room was just to go see her husband.
