Chapter 12 - Forgiveness

Satisfied with her, Daffin immediately went to the room to meet Elvira. Seeing the welcome smile from Elvira made Daffin pecked for a while staring nanar at her.

He meant that the smile his wife gave him was actually a smile full of hurt and disappointment.

“Mas, have you finished working?” elvira asked who greeted him.

He was still confused how he should show an attitude between hiding or showing his disappointment.

For the past few days he has been patient to keep it waiting until things have improved.

“Darling, forgive me.” Daffin said while kneeling before him while holding Elvira's hands.

Elvira tries to pull Daffin's hand telling him to get back on his feet but Daffin remains frozen.

“I don't mean to lie to you, I'm just too scared if you're disappointed in me and will leave me. Please, please forgive me. This time I'll be honest and there's nothing else I'm hiding from you.”

Elvira immediately aligns her position with Daffin, eventually she will listen to the direct narration from her husband.

“Darling, I admit it's true I had a relationship with Anya, but it was just a momentary relationship that I considered my biggest mistake for ever betraying you. I've ended it. Please forgive me, please give me a chance to correct all my mistakes. Trust me, no one can replace you in my heart.”

“Thank you for being honest with me,” said Elvira who again saw sincerity in Daffin.

“Honey, please give me a chance.”

But Elvira prefers to keep giving their relationship a chance and she feels she can still sincerely accept everything that has happened because Daffin promised to correct his mistake.

For Elvira, he believes there are still mistakes that can be forgiven and considers this a valuable lesson for him.

Today Daffin takes Nevan to a building and Nevan is stunned to see the contents of a luxury apartment room he visited with his brother this time.

“This is one part of the project that was just completed last season, I will give this one unit to you,” said Daffin.

“Are you kidding? Forget about living in America, I want you to stay here. Stay at home, sometimes you can visit here. Consider it a gift for you.”

“I have an important meeting schedule with some big foreign entrepreneurs who are interested in working together to build a project like this. I really need your help to reach an agreement with them.”

“So that means this is a bribe for me?”

“When can I refuse Brother's wishes?”

Daffin just smiled at him not being able to hide his pleasure.

They finally left together when the day of the important meeting arrived. Daffin saw firsthand how the negotiation skills that Nevan showed when dealing with these great people until finally creating their cooperation agreement that was successfully established.

Daffin is very proud that his sister has grown up to be a great man and he recognizes the ability of Nevan who he thinks can exceed him in taking care of business because of that he always wanted if Nevan could come with him take care company.

Leaving the meeting that turned out to have reached the desired agreement, they are now in the car on the way.

“Of course the highest position in the company. I feel like I want to retire young and spend my happy days with my wife and children later. I always wanted a life like that,” Daffin said.

“What is Brother talking about? Now you can make it happen. Looks like your relationship is very good and filled with happiness.”

“That's it, I made a big mistake against him,” Daffin said.

Then he sighed while leaning his head on the seat and threw a glance out the car window.

While Nevan met a glance with Sakti who glanced at them from the rearview mirror in the car.

Even though they already knew about the problems that Daffin was facing, they chose not to interfere and still acted as if they did not know anything.

After the tone of the call was connected, there was a voice of a woman answering her phone call.

“Halo? With whom?” tanyanya across the phone.

“Meet me today, I will send you the address,” replied Elvira accordingly.

After confirming the call, Elvira immediately sent a text message to the number.

Elsewhere, Anya had received a text message containing the time and place name that Elvira had sent.
