Chapter 20 - Other Secrets

Elvira tried to strengthen herself to stand up and walk after getting out of the elevator.

Upon arrival in the front area of the building, Elvira accidentally crosses paths with Nevan who just got off his car.  Looking from his clothes that had been wearing a suit neatly, it seemed like he was going to do an important job with Daffin.

“Sister Elvira, already want to go home?” greet his sister-in-law.

“Iya,” replied Elvira briefly, but she could not hide the pain she was currently feeling.

“You all right?” nevan asked sounding worried looking at Elvira's pale face.

“I'm fine.”

“I'll ask the office person to deliver you.”

“No need, I will drive myself,” reject Elvira.

Then he rushed to his car but immediately followed by Nevan who was suspicious of him if he was not okay.

Although often cold and indifferent, but he is among the most sensitive to something especially about someone close to his life like his brother-in-law.

“Sini,” pinta Nevan who raised her hand to ask for Elvira car keys.

Elvira ignored his request and said, “I told you, no need.”

“I won't let you drive your own car like this, your face is pale once.” Nevan then examined Elvira's forehead with his hands. “You're also hot.”

“I can drive myself.”

“No!” Nevan took the keys to Elvira's car.

“Let me drive you,” force Nevan, then he tells Elvira to sit in the passenger seat.

On the way, Nevan occasionally notices Elvira who looks dreamy silent while throwing a glance out the car window.

“I'll tell Brother Daffin first,” Nevan said as he picked up his phone.

“Do not!” ban Elvira who immediately reacts quickly.

“Why? I'll just tell her if I'm gonna be a little late for delivering sister-in-law first. I'll take you to the doctor first.”

“Do not contact him!” Elvira leaned over to Nevan and grabbed her phone, she immediately kept it in the dashboard drawer.

“Why the hell?” Nevan was amazed at his brother-in-law.

But this time he noticed Elvira as if he was feeling something in his kiss. Suddenly Elvira reacted with nausea and reflex smothering her own mouth holding something that seemed to be about to come out.

“You okay?” ask Nevan again who is starting to get anxious.

“You what is this? Are you wearing this perfume? But how does it smell I don't like?  Very disturbing,” grumbled Elvira who covered her nose and mouth while making sure to smell the perfume on the direction of Nevan's body.

“Something is wrong? I only wear it a little on my coat, it smells my favorite perfume.”

“Lease!” elvira's words sound pushy.

“Hah? Meaning?”

“Nevan, I said take off your suit. I don't like the smell!”

Looking at the front of the road already seemed empty, Nevan immediately pulled over the car. He was amazed by Elvira's sudden attitude.

Although feeling annoyed, but finally he complied just let go of his suit. Elvira, who saw him, took the suit and threw it in the back seat as if she wanted to get away from it.

“It's been much better.”

“You are really sick, even your sense of smell just seems to be in trouble.”

“Yes, quickly take me to the doctor. I'm really not feeling well right now for smelling your perfume!” nagel Elvira.

Nevan said that shortly after, they arrived at the hospital. After being examined by a doctor and having explained the symptoms experienced by Elvira before, the doctor saw Elvira who was now sitting at the desk of the doctor's work at Nevan's friend.

“Congratulations yes, Ms. Elvira is pregnant and the symptoms experienced by Mother earlier are natural. Don't get too tired ya,” said a female doctor who had examined her.

“What? Pregnant?” Elvira seemed to be in disbelief and immediately felt powerless while resuscitating her back on the back of the chair.

“Yes, congratulations yes you two will soon become parents.”

“Oh, nothing like that, Doc. She is my sister-in-law,” Nevan denies.

“Oh so? Sorry yes, I don't know. I will prescribe the medicine first.”

After leaving the doctor's room, Elvira stepped limply coupled with a feeling that made her confused between happy and sad.

This should be a very happy news for him and Daffin, but realizing now that the state of their relationship is different makes Elvira can not resist her sadness let alone she has resolved to separate.

“Congratulations yes,” says Nevan.

But Elvira did not respond but just fell silent like thinking of something that still stuck in his mind.

“No.”

“Loh why?”

Without wanting to answer Nevan's question again, Elvira was in a hurry and was immediately followed by Nevan.

When he was in the car, Nevan was stunned for a moment to see this Elvira who looked very sad like regretting something.

He saw that Elvira was currently clasping her hands firmly on her knees like she was trying to quell anger.

Nevan can only be amazed by the various questions stored in his head, not that this should be happy news for Elvira, but who has the self to be the opposite.

Elvira then turned to him in between silence and then spoke suddenly. “Nevan, I'd like to ask you.”

“Ask what please?”

“Take me to a safe place to be alone.”

“You mean?” Nevan was further astonished by Elvira's attitude today, she could not guess at all her brother-in-law.

“Just do my request, I beg.”

Nevan just followed his wish and immediately planted the gas.

Moments later, Elvira is now sitting on a bench at the height of Nevan's apartment balcony.

Previously Nevan decided to bring him here because for him this might be the safest place to take Elvira because he also did not know where to take him anymore.

At least if you bring Elvira here, Nevan will not have to worry if he will leave her alone.

Meanwhile, Nevan is currently making a glass of fruit juice for her in the kitchen room.

From a distance Nevan looked towards the balcony that was still visible within his reach, he was still surprised and did not know what to say because just a few minutes before Elvira had told him about the problems she was experiencing with Daffin.

Elvira also pleads with him not to tell Dewanti everything she knows about this time and Meisya until Daffin has divorced her.

Nevan then approached Elvira with a glass of fruit juice for her.

Realizing Nevan's presence made Elvira rush to wipe away her tears that had flowed endlessly because she thought about the problems she was experiencing at this time.

“This, drink first. I heard that drinking fruit juice is very good for the content,” Nevan said handing over the glass for her.

Elvira picked it up while saying, "Thank you." And drink it immediately.

“Can you rethink your decision?” ask Nevan.

“I've thought about it, I have no way out other than parting.”

“Try to consider again carefully, is not this a non-playful decision?”

Elvira just kept quiet without even wanting to respond.

“Ya already, then I will leave now because there is business with brother Daffin,” said Nevan.

“Iya.”

“Later you will still go home right?”Nevan.

“Iya, I just want to be alone for a while here.”

“Oke.”

Days change.

Sakti sighed after being very surprised to hear the words from Daffin who told about the problems he was currently facing.

In front of him now there are several pieces of paper divorce papers that yesterday Daffin destroyed in front of Elvira.

Want to regret however it also feels useless because everything has happened, now Daffin just continues to think how he can defend his household.

Since yesterday Elvira was still cold and seemed to no longer want to talk to him.

While Sakti who is now a good listener also feels unable to do anything but also regret what has happened.

He also did not dare to interfere because this was the personal business of his best friend, he could only express how he was very sorry if the two separated.

“Then, what will you do next?” tanya Sakti's.

Daffin looked at him while still thinking about something in his head, he seemed to have thought of making a decision.
