Look at me, Delilah

Look at me, Delilah
Go home

Kyomi's cry resuscitated Nayaka. It was as if the demon that had possessed him had simply vanished. He was aware of what he had just done, which was to injure the two women he loved.

"Bad papa!" kyomi yelled at her by throwing her teddy bear.

The door to the room is not closed. All that Nayaka had done to Delilah had been witnessed by her daughter. Nayaka buried her face in her hands. Nah! He shakes if this isn't him. It cannot get out of control.

How could he hurt Delilah who even to pinch him he could not bear. There was no way he could have made the woman he loved so hurt as she is today.

"Kyeomi!"

Nayaka rushes over to her daughter, but Kyomi runs away. The boy entered the room, then closed and locked the door.

"Open the door, Kyomi." Nayaka shuts the door.

"No way!" his yell. "Kyomi is scared."

Twice Kyomi has witnessed herself beating people. First Juno, then second Delilah. It feels like a dream. He could hold all his anger at this moment. Insulted, beaten or whatever, Nayaka can still control the desire to retaliate. He is not a man like his real father. But now it is true. He was Omar's son. The man who hurt him.

Nayaka entered the next room. Delilah cried while hugging her own body. Nayaka approached, but her lover inched away.

"Dear." A call from Nayaka's lips.

"Stay away from me."

Nayaka is sorry. He climbed into the bed and hugged Delilah. "Don't, Del." Nayaka held her tightly as her lover thrashed to be released. "sorry. I'm sorry. I'm ...."

"Go!" Delilah pushed her lover's body. "Don't touch me."

Nayaka shakes. "I lost control. That's not me, honey. I can't hurt you."

Delilah cried. The pain in the heart exceeds the pain of the wound in the body. For one slap, Delilah cursed him, but this was out of bounds. Nayaka brutally beat him up.

"Del ...." Nayaka has a soft voice.

"Go!"

"I'm sorry."

"I said go!" Delilah tightened her voice.

Nayaka shuffled out of bed. He stared once more at his lover, hoping that Delilah would forgive him for his mistake. However, this time is not the right thing. The woman is angry and Nayaka should avoid it.

He stopped in front of Kyomi's room. "Dear." Nayaka was still trying to knock on the door. But Kyomi won't open it. "Papa's leaving."

No response, Nayaka took the keys on the nightstand, then stepped out of the apartment. While walking he was still thinking about the incident. His love affair, his deeds. All of this makes his head heavy.

"Can we talk? I need a friend." Nayaka disconnected her phone when she heard the consent answer.

Riding his motorcycle, Nayaka stops at a city park. Waiting for a friend to tell a story. Yeah, he needs that. Holding her alone feels so crowded.

The shoes made him look. Nayaka smiled, then shifted from her seat. "Please."

A smile he got. Angel immersed herself in the iron bench that Nayaka also occupied.

"You okay?"

Nayaka shakes. "I'm not okay."

"From your looks like that."

"How do you think I am?" Nayaka looked away at Angel.

"You're good."

"You're wrong, Angel. I'm a bad guy. A loser and a bat. I beat up my girlfriend, and scared my daughter."

Angel did not believe Nayaka's words. However, he also did not want to ask if it was true. "There must be a reason for your actions, even if they're wrong. You're a human being, Nay. You can also lose control of yourself. You can get angry and put all the anger in your heart. Even calm water can overflow. Don't feel so guilty."

"I didn't do it on purpose."

Angel hesitated to raise her hand. But finally, he dared to wipe Nayaka's arm. "You calm yourself. After that apologize to your lover and daughter."

"It's not easy for him" Nayaka said.

"Indeed. He might burn your anger again. You just have to calm down. You've been with her a long time. You know how to deal with it."

Nayaka nodded. "Thank you, Angel. Thank you for listening to me."

"You're right, and you're the most comfortable place for me right now."

Angel could only hold her lips above Nayaka's words. If only, he also became a container for Nayaka's love. Of course the love that has been held, does not clap one hand.

Nayaka accidentally returns to the apartment at dinnertime. In her hand was Kyomi's favorite burger and the finished food that Nayaka bought for Delilah.

The password he had memorized out of his head allowed him to enter the apartment. Nayaka is greeted by Kyomi.

"Father!"

In the heart of gratitude. Kyomi went back to her. Nayaka hugged her daughter and apologized for the incident earlier this afternoon.

"Kyomi scared?" Nayaka questioned that.

"Why is Papa evil?"

Nayaka shakes. "Papa was angry at mom."

"If Papa is angry with Kyomi, is Kyomi also beaten?"

"Of course not, honey. Papa's actions were not exemplary. Papa hurt mom."

"Mama didn't come out of the room. Kyomi is hungry, but afraid to call Mama Delilah."

"Then, what did Kyomi eat?"

"Same bread ice cream that Papa bought the same as eating fruit."

Nayaka turned to look at the sofa that looked messy. "Kyomi remembers Papa's message, right? The packet of snacks should be thrown into the trash."

"Yes, Kyomi will settle down."

"Later on, Kyomi ate this burger first. After that just finish the sofa. Papa wants to look at mom."

Kyomi quickly took his favorite food that his father offered. Nayaka shook his head, smiling to see his daughter eating the burger.

Kyomi is the child of an affluent parent, but look, even eating alone is difficult. Not that it is difficult to buy food, but not noticed.

Nayaka entered the room after putting the finished food in the dining room. His gaze collided with Delilah who was standing in front of the window frame while looking at the scene below.

"Your son is starving, Del. You didn't take care of it?"

Delilah looked at her lover. "Want to get angry again, then hit me? Just hit it, Nayaka. You just kill me."

After that Delilah sobbed. He switched by sitting on the bed. Buried his face on two palms while shedding tears.

"I'm sorry, Del." Nayaka knelt in front of her lover. "I'm sorry."

Delilah pushed Nayaka backward. "I hate you!"

"Enough, Honey. Don't let Kyomi hear us fight again. Please," said Nayaka, holding Delilah's hand.

Delilah brushed off that hand. "Fuck that kid!"

Nayaka glared at the sentence that Delilah had just uttered. The mother of his son, talk like that. Nayaka stood up, he looked at Delilah in disbelief.

"Sorry, dear." Nayaka embraced her lover, though Delilah continued to rebel.

"Please!" shout Delilah.

"Yes, I let you go."

After saying that, Nayaka exited the room by closing the door. She smiled at Kyomi who cleaned the sofa from the rest of the food wrapper.

"Honey," said Nayaka.

"Kyomi's done the couch."

Gently Nayaka took over the plastic trash from his daughter's hands. "Come, come with Papa."

"Where?"

Nayaka smile. "home."
