Look at me, Delilah

Look at me, Delilah
Rejection

"A half day only. I need a nanny who can pick up Kyomi at school and take care of her while I'm at the office. But I still let Angel in. Kyomi likes her" Nayaka said.

"You really have a crush on him?"

"It's none of your business. Hurry up and make some food for Kyomi. He must be starving" Nayaka said.

In the kitchen of Nayaka there is no complete cooking utensils. Delilah used what was there to grill the chicken he had fillet.

Nayaka noticed that and he did not believe in Delilah's change. His ex-girlfriend could do nothing and he always cooked food while they lived together.

The aroma of garlic, butter and soy sauce combined. Delilah also baked bread because she wanted to make a burger. Nayaka cuts vegetables to make salad.

"You're so good at cooking" Nayaka said.

"of course. Juno loves house food and she loves my burger, " replied Delilah, who only realized she had said something she shouldn't have said. Delilah looked at Nayaka. "I'm just learning a little."

"The wife-to-be should be, indeed" said Nayaka. "When did you know him?"

"Since in America. He's Kiano's friend."

"You ...."

"We don't live together" Delilah quickly cut. "Once he's just visiting my apartment."

Nayaka did not respond, he continued making vegetable salads. While Delilah felt bad because it had made things awkward.

"Thank his bread. It will be charred" Nayaka said.

Delilah was shocked and accidentally exposed his finger to teflon. He grimaces. "It's hot."

"Quick wash with cold water." Nayaka quickly turned off the stove, then picked up the medicine box and looked for the burn ointment inside. "Drop it on your burned finger earlier," he said as he extended the medicine."

Delilah kept the ointment away. "You don't have to bother."

"Don't expect me to be like I used to be. That's never gonna happen again."

"I know that. When you pushed me, slapped me, I saw you change."

"Everyone can change" Nayaka replied. "The salad is done. You hurry up and finish it. I'll call Kyomi."

Not long after, Nayaka comes with Kyomi to the dining room. Delilah had also finished making chicken steak and egg burgers for her daughter. Unfortunately, Kyomi's welcome did not satisfy her. The boy's face pouted looking at Delilah.

"Darling, Mama made you a burger with steak. You try, yes," said Delilah who put one piece of chicken on Kyomi's plate.

"Kyomi doesn't want to eat this" he said.

"But it's delicious" Delilah said. "Just try, honey. What if this egg burger wants? Your aunt and uncle really like it."

"Who is my aunt and uncle?" ask Kyomi.

"You remember when we first met. They are Kyomi's aunt and uncle. Aunty Ayyana and Anthea, then uncle Kiano," said Delilah.

Kyomi seemed to think, then he said, "Who is the other handsome uncle? Is he my uncle too? Kyomi also saw her at the cafe when Papa sang there."

Delilah nervous. "D-he is ...."

"Is he your new boyfriend?"

"Kyomi, where did you learn about that?" nayaka Tegur.

"Sydney told me she had two fathers and two mothers. Every week he would take turns staying at their house. Am I gonna be like that too?" tanyakanya.

"Papa told you that we're going to take care of you together."

"I don't want to eat. My stomach is full" he said, rising from his seat.

"Kyomi," call Nayaka.

"Kyomi is full, Papa."

"Papa please," said Nayaka.

Kyomi turned around, then sat back in her chair. Delilah was happy because her son wanted to be persuaded. He puts the egg burger into Kyomi's plate, and hopes the princess eats it.

"Kyomi wants Papa's fried rice" he said, keeping food away from Delilah.

Nayaka fed a spoonful of rice which was quickly greeted by the boy. Kyomi is hungry, but chicken steak and burgers don't make her tasteful at all.

Kyomi shakes. "That's not good. Kyomi doesn't like."

"You haven't tried it yet" Nayaka said.

Kyomi shakes her head again. "Don't force Kyomi."

Delilah just shut up. This time not at all. Want to be angry must also be detained because Kyomi will hate him even more.

"Kyomi Pinter, eat it out" Nayaka said. "This is a toothbrush, yes."

Kyomi nodded then passed from the kitchen. Nayaka cleaned the dining table, but her hands came to a halt when she saw Delilah who had not eaten at all.

"Next time you don't have to bother" said Nayaka.

"You're glad I got rejected like this."

"Absolutely not. But your presence here is hurting Kyomi. He'll keep remembering you're the mother who left him."

"You don't support me at all. You want Kyomi to hate her mother?" delilah.

"Hard hard work again. Go to her room and be a good mother."

Delilah obeyed the words of Nayaka. He catches up with Kyomi who is in the room. Apparently Kyomi is preparing a book for tomorrow.

"Is there anything you need to help?" ask Delilah.

"I'm done."

In my heart, Delilah always said the word patience. Kyomi talks like they're the same age. "How was Kyomi's school? What's fun?"

"Yes, it's nice."

"Can Mama drop Kyomi off to school tomorrow? Mama also wanted to see her school" Delilah said.

"Kyomi would rather ride a motorcycle than a car."

Delilah smiled. He died a flea to talk to his own son. "Kyomi wants to sleep? Come on, Mama accompany me to the bathroom. Kyomi has to brush her teeth first."

"Kyomi can be alone."

The little girl walked out of the room towards the bathroom. Delilah followed him. He was proud to see Kyomi's independence. Nayaka raised her daughter.

"Kyomi is very clever" praised Delilah.

Unfortunately, the compliment did not melt Kyomi. The boy passed into his room, and again Delilah followed from behind.

"Kyomi sleep, let Mama read a fairy tale to you," said Delilah persuaded.

"Why Auntie doesn't just go home. Are mama and daddy Aunt not looking?" said Kyomi.

Delilah was shocked to hear it. "Kyomi! How dare you say that."

"Delilah!" nayaka snapped the newly arrived nayaka and accidentally heard the woman's words.

Kyomi runs to embrace Nayaka. "Papa, he's bad."

"I've tried, brother. You heard what he said. He asked me where my mom and dad were" Delilah said.

"Kyomi, go to Papa's room" said Nayaka.

The boy died on the orders of his father. Nayaka closed the door so that this quarrel was not heard by Kyomi of course.

"He was a kid and you snapped at him. It's only been a day, Del," Nayaka said.

"He asked my mom and dad. You know I'm so emotional hearing it."

"Then you blame him? Kyomi doesn't know anything. You should know that."

"I'd better go home" said Delilah.

Nayaka shifted from his place, allowing Delilah to open the door and exit. Delilah was further upset that Nayaka had not prevented or persuaded her.
