Last Letter to You
Episode 51

Inappropriate expectations tend to make us give up faster in fighting

......

"Keyla kangen's. Keyla dear Papa."

Ana was struck by the emotion when the sentence slid smoothly from the tiny lips of four-year-old Keyla. Walking is still not good, but his mind is so mature. Keyla was a wise and understanding child. Ana, as her mother, never thought she would teach Keyla the way she should be other than teaching her how to read, color and speak English.

Now, in Ana's eyes, Keyla is not like a toddler in general.

In a way, Nathan was the only human who was the most shocked in the room. Even as the hold on his feet tightened with the shady eyes of the little one staring at him full of twinkle and innocence, Nathan did not react to anything.

Keyla winked cutely with a gentle smile sculpted on her cute face, "Why is Diam?"

"Why not Key?"

Nathan quiet. It's too confusing for him.

"I'm the trigger, Papa," he lisp. Keyla did not stop to smile.

There was no reply from Nathan. Instead, the sound of a slow stuffing of someone began to sound. Who else would it be if not Ana. Ana was moved to hear the three words Keyla said a few seconds ago. Ana recalls giving a little basic English lessons to her daughter.

The simplest example; good morning, good afternoon, good night, thank you, how are you, I love you, i miss you.

And Ana does not think that Keyla still remembers what she taught. He said that a child has a strong memory. It's true.

"Mama, mama," breaking a hug at Nathan's feet, Keyla limped over to Ana and tugged at her loose trousers with a bete look.

Ana half-bends over, looking at her daughter's anxiety that is almost limited to her thighs while carving out a gentle smile, typical of a mother, "Yes, why baby? Keyla's thirsty, huh? Or laper?"

Screaming, Keyla's hands are seen circling Ana's neck, their cheeks touching each other then with spoiled Keyla kissing her, "Papa can't say yes, Ma? Papa's tricu, huh?"

Ana raised her eyebrows in wonder, "Loh, why are you suddenly so, dear? Who said Papa Key was mute?"

"Papa diem. Belalti Papa bicu," Keyla replied.

Now, Ana is completely confused to reply to Keyla's words. On the one hand, Ana cannot force Nathan to return the babble because Ana knows Nathan is shocked when a child comes to her and calls her Papa. And after a few seconds, Ana's replacement was surprised by Nathan's words.

"Keyla, this is Papa's," Nathan had crouched down as he stretched his arms wide, waiting for the tiny body to enter his arms with his lips on his back.

Keyla immediately turned his head and with sparkling eyes he ran over, hitting Nathan. Nathan swiftly hugged her then stood up, twirling her body until Keyla laughed cheerfully. His fleeting laughter spread the virus to anyone who saw it. Including Ana and Cakra. Cakra also felt Keyla's happiness even though his own heart felt empty without a life-sustaining figure.

"Papa loves Keyla too."

......

After the hugging, Nathan takes Keyla to the back garden of the hospital. The green grass stretches neatly in cloth to be where Nathan and Keyla share the warmth between father and son.

"Whose name is this beautiful Papa's son?" Nathan sits cross-legged in front of Keyla, who is playing a chakra-given doll. From earlier his gaze could not be separated from the figure of the little angel.

Her cute face, looking up, looked at Nathan, "Keyla Rinjani M, Papa," then refocused on her doll again.

Nathan's forehead puckered, "M what's dear?"

"Moleno" he replied slurred.

"You mean Moreno?"

Keyla nodded, "Yes, Papa."

"Keyla know why Mama gave Keyla her last name there's Moreno?" Nathan knew Keyla's brain could make sense of his question. Keyla's a smart, smart kid. Nathan deduces according to his instincts to first hear Keyla's answer when Cakra lures him while in the nursery.

"Say Mama be like Papa."

Nathan fell silent. His mind wanders into a time where Nathan meets Ana at a club. Nathan remembers, that time Ana came to him and told him that Ana loved him. Nathan, who has no feelings for Ana, then goes back to join his friends because there is a drinking party. Nathan got drunk and a woman suddenly carried him. After that, Nathan no longer knew what was going on.

The call made him flinch. Nathan got up in a hurry. He was curious about something he did not know about Ana. About Keyla and about them.

"Ana, we need to talk" Nathan said, holding Ana back. He turned to Keyla, stroking the top of his head fondly, "Keyla, Papa wants to talk to Mama. Keyla played doll first here. Papa was there if Keyla needed Papa or Mama," Nathan pointed to the park bench not far from his position.

Keyla nodded, assuring.

"Explain to me, Ana. Everything is no exception." demanded Nathan as soon as they sat down.

Ana turned her head briefly, "What do you want to know?"

"On Keyla,"

"He's your son, Nathan. Your flesh's blood."

Nathan laughed blandly as he shook his head, "You lied, Ana. He can't be my son. We never sleep together let alone do husband and wife."

"The truth is we did that, I got pregnant and Keyla was born. Keyla your son. I asked you, the last time you got drunk, you remember what happened next?"

Nathan nodded again.

"I'm taking you out of the club to your apartment. I want to go home, you don't get me and even invite me so. I love the same you can do anything other than give up your desires. I know the most precious treasure I have because I know the man who took it was you. The man I love" Ana observes Nathan's change in expression. Honestly whatever the answer Nathan later, whether he wants to be responsible or not, Ana resigned, does not want to force.

"It doesn't make sense. I know you love me, but not in a cunning way like your efforts to get me, Ana," Nathan said just now clearly to the heart of Ana so hurt. Ana had no such bad thoughts.

Ana smiled bitterly, her tears almost falling, "As much as you want to believe or not be the same as my words."

Ana's flares, honestly Nathan's chest throbbed a little, "Okay if for example Keyla's my son. What do you want from me?"

"Of course I want a happy little family. You're being nice to Keyla, admitting she's your son. So also to me. Problems haven't been love, I accept. I'm sure slowly your heart will open."

Rising, Nathan looked at Ana as if today, their farewell day, "On Keyla, I can think of, but not for you, Ana. I love other women. Long before I knew you. Sorry, I can't make your dream come true" she said in a sling, leaving Ana in tears.

The chakras that watched him, clenched their hands tightly. A fist that is ready to slide at any time when it comes to the grief of his loved ones.

......

The house looks dark and quiet. Nathan turned on the light switch and climbed one by one the stairs to his room. But in the middle of the road, Nathan turns to Kinan's room, knocks on his door and goes in before being invited by the owner.

Kinan was leaning on the head of the bed while closed.

"Get out" Kinan said coldly without any intention of opening his eyes.

"I want to talk to you. Please permit me. Just five minutes, nothing more." Nathan asked.

His bead opened, Kinan raised his sharp gaze, "Stop. Don't come any closer. Get out of my room." he said with emphasis.

Not heeding Kinan's warning, Nathan continued walking until he stood right beside the bed. Their position is so close. Kinan moved to the left. Keep distance.

"Who do you choose, you leave or I leave this house and hate you all my life?" Kinan. Nathan stopped his movement. The spotlight was saddened to look at Kinan.

"Plis, Kinan, give me a chance to reveal everything" Nathan said in a pleading tone.

"OKAY. If that's what you want, "too sick of Nathan, Kinan got off the bed, grabbed his sling bag on the nightstand and then lifted his foot from there. Being under the same roof makes him want to quickly move. It was Kinan feeling after Nathan expressed his feelings.

Kinan's departure was a dilemma. The shadow of Ana and Keyla rattled in his mind. Nathan is confused between choosing Ana or Kinan. Nathan loves Kinan. But on the one hand, Keyla's presence shakes up that love.

It took Nathan ten minutes to think clearly, what decision he was going to make.

At the end of the second, Nathan steadies his heart, deciding that he chooses Ana and someone tells Kinan. She confesses her feelings in order to repair her relationship with Kinan. Rather than during his life being hated by Kinan it was better for Nathan to step down.

Hopefully this is the right decision.
