"What's wrong?" ask the whiskey patiently. "Did Jelkesya want to say something to Hazelia? We just finished the mission."
"Now, just give the phone to Hazelnut. I want to talk to him!" snapped Alkaf.
"What the hell is your problem? If indeed Jelkesya called Hazelia, Hazelia and I had just arrived at the resting place. Hazelia can call back now," the Whisk replied in a dislike tone. She doesn't like Alkaf's way, if it's true that Jel has an interest in Haz, she should be able to understand that if Haz doesn't call back means she's busy or doing something, so I can't see his phone.
"Give it. Jel won't take any more calls from him" Alkaf said. He sounded very angry from across the street.
"Whisky Woods, give me the phone." Haz reaches out his hand to the Whisk, asking for the man's cell phone.
Whisk reluctantly gives his cell phone to Haz. He wouldn't have given it if Haz hadn't asked for it.
"Hello?" Haz directly pressed the speaker mode on and greeted Alkaf lazily. He already knew this was going to happen. Again. For the whole time. He was used to facing situations like this.
"Udah playing? You know Jelly called you?" ask Alkaf.
Haz could guess Jel told Alkaf with tears flowing, so Alkaf could get angry like that. What the woman does not understand is why someone likes to dramatize the situation that is actually normal. If only Jel had not told her with tears flowing, she would not have been exposed to the anger that she is now experiencing.
"I told you. Jelkesya and his girlfriend are the same" Zenneth whispered to Cyan and Whisk. "It's not the first time Haz has experienced something like this. I don't know how many times exactly. But, it's probably been five or so."
Haz glared sharply at Cyan, Whisk, and Zenneth who were about to start a struggle that would hurt his head more than his headache towards Alkaf's anger being vented at him.
"I don't see a cell phone. What's up?" ask Haz with patience. Just now the mood is back, it looks like it will be broken back— considering Haz is not a person who likes to be scolded, he said, suggested by Whisk and Zenneth alone his mood is messy let alone must really be an outlet for the anger of someone who has no interest in him.
"So, is that your excuse? Usually all day you see your phone. Why do we look for when we don't see? Do you have a problem with Jelkesya so you don't think you need to see a phone call from her?" alkaf Syndicate.
Haz sighed. He tried to answer calmly, "I didn't accidentally see the phone. As the Whisk says. He and I had just arrived at the destination of a mission. I haven't touched my phone at all."
"Can you still call yourself his best friend?"
Alkaf insinuations are becoming. Though Haz did nothing wrong, other than he did not pick up the phone from Jel that he did not even know at all.
"I also have my own activities. I also have my own hobbies. What if when I called Jel and he didn't pick her up I sued him? I guess I never did." Haz said, still holding back his anger. There were several reasons why he was trying to hold her back: The first was that Alkaf was his senior, someone older than him, so that he could still understand and be polite; the second, was, since she was the girlfriend of a Liulaika Jelkesya, then the woman was more appreciative than the first reason.
"You know how Jel was. He needs more attention and time than anyone. Besides, there's no. You know the story too. You promised him, too" Alkaf sosor. "Should he cry just begging for your attention? You don't even seem to care. I told him making yourself his best friend was wrong. Here's the proof."
Enough, Haz thought. He stared coldly at the screen of the Whisk phone that was lit and the name Alkaf was there.
Cyan and Zenneth knew that Haz had been staring at something so cold. All they had in mind was one: Soon Hazelia Lify's anger would explode, but in a very calm and very piercing speech.
"So, you mean I don't need more attention and time than someone?" ask Haz.
Without letting Alkaf answer him, Haz continued, "I certainly need it too, but I never beg anyone for attention. AS A CHILD OF KARA, I never did it even though I needed more attention and time than anyone else. And, you told me a story of the past? What's up with my past that didn't have a father or a mother? Want to compare with my past? Justjust come. If you want to talk, please use your brain and heart."
"Promise? What promise did I make with Jel? Promise that I will always give her more attention and time? There aren't. I never promised anyone anything about it. Because consciously, I was the one who also needed both of those things."
"No matter? Let's see who doesn't care sometimes. When someone doesn't care, I always tell Jelkesya to be patient and not to complain. If I feel I don't deserve it, that's up to it. I never force anyone to understand either. Bangssats!"
Haz immediately hung up the phone from Alkaf after saying a very closing word. He thought that he had been holding back enough all this time. He was already quite scolded by Alkaf because Jel who suddenly just cried when everything related to him was not filled by him.
Haz closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, tears fell down his cheeks.
Cyan, Whisk, and Zenneth were stunned.
Zenneth hugged Haz.
"It's okay. Not salahmu. Not salahmu. No cry. Don't blame yourself. He is not worthy. You're really mad at him. What you did was right. Don't blame yourself, okay?"
Zenneth patted Haz on the shoulder. He tried to calm the woman he was hugging.
"I'm well aware it's not my fault. But, do I deserve to be rude?"
