"Good morning..."
This time the whiskey came back. Not sure what she wants, Haz doesn't know and doesn't want to know either.
Unlike usual, today Jel did not let the two of them. Of course because Haz asked him not to leave them both inside! Haz feels very awkward about his circumstances and Whisk.
"Not avoiding anymore, Miss?" ask Whisk at Jel whose face is pouting.
"What the hell?!" Jel was not in a stable emotional state. It often occurs in women once every month.
"Hazelnut, your songs help me sleep" Whisk said.
Haz and Jel immediately looked at the Whisk at the same time. Then Haz looked at Jel, and Jel looked at Haz.
"What's? Want to know why I know your nicknames? Hazelnut and Jelly?" ask Whisk.
Ughhhh! That's shameful! shouts Haz in my heart.
"Where do you know something that even more than three people don't know?!" jel asked half-screaming.
"Alkaf," replied the short Whisk.
"What?!"
Alkaf Place...
"Hatchi!" Alkaf suddenly sneezed. "It looks like I have to check-up whether I've had the virus or not."
Flip again...
"How do you know an Alkaf?" ask Jel.
"Oh, that's easy! Alkaf once asked about a man who cursed in his heart to a waitress at Texas Chicken yesterday and now I seem to know the suspect here..." Haz remembers something about Alkaf who asked him something the other day.
"Yes, there's no shame in admitting, it's me, '" Whisk shrugged his shoulders as if feeling innocent had cursed the waitress at Texas Chicken.
"It looks like the maid lost her job and her pride because of your swearing" Haz guessed on target.
"Never be ashamed to admit, it really does happen. He lost his job the other day because he hit a friend of the Madam who owns the fast food restaurant" Whisk said.
"Then, the question is... How do you know an Alkaf?" asked Haz while glaring at the sharp Whisk.
"Alkaf was a senior who came to our place of worship. He gave a talk on Religious Differences. Unfortunately because of a case, I couldn't go along, either" Whisk replied ignoring Haz's sharp gaze for her.
"He must have teased the waiter... Just watch out for him," muttered Jel who was heard by Haz and Whisk.
Haz and Whisk then looked at him. Haz gestured to tell Jel a sweet lie as if to say: Poor Alkaf was often scolded by her. Whisk caught Haz's gaze, then pointed at himself and Jel: Me? Told her? Haz glared at the sharp Whisk: Who else would it be if not you?!
"What the hell are you guys staring at? The Alkaf pot is not here," Jel puffed his cheeks, jealous of Haz and Whisk.
"I'd like a consultation about my insomni. Now it seems to be improving because of your songs," Whisk said, switching the conversation.
"Oh, that's good. So, how many hours of sleep did you sleep?" ask Haz.
Haz immediately got up from his desk chair and walked towards the Whisk sitting on top of the hospital bed.
"My sleep increased by about two hours" replied the proud Whisk who immediately got a prick in his head from Haz.
"That's not something to be proud of!" exclaim Haz upset.
"Hey! At least this is the first time I've slept well after years of acute insomnia!" Whisk called back and stroked his aching head from Haz's death.
"Freak man.." chirped Haz.
"Barbarian woman," replied Whisk.
"I agree with Haz. It's not something to be proud of. Haz never slept for a week and then slept only about an hour later. His eye bags are even worse than yours! But, look at him now! Sleep not even more than eleven o'clock in the night" Jel said.
"Not slept for a week? And sleep only an hour later? What kind of woman could she do such a terrible thing?" Whisk looked at Haz in disbelief.
"Because of the task given. He's a very diligent type. Today is given a task, tomorrow is done" said Jel.
The whiskey could only shake his head. "I don't even like going to school! Learning is boring."
"But, in dealing with cases is not boring at all huh?" ledek Haz's.
"of course! Cases and tasks are two different things. I'm a consulting detective. You can choose clients that I think are important and not important. That's the advantage of being a consulting detective like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective," Whisk replied.
"Aren't you dealing with the frozen case of the world?" ask Haz.
"The Boy In The Box. I'm sure you've seen an article about an unidentified piece of a boy's body found in a cardboard box. It's enough to stir up your bowels" replied the Whisk.
"May I see the summary information?" ask Haz again. With sparkling eyes look interested.
Whisk took something from his bag under the hospital bed. A pile of archives that had not been tidied up was taken out of his bag. A quarter of the papers had their ends folded.
"Basic don't love information!" exclaim Haz.
Jel who was there could only listen to the ramblings of the two of them. He had no intention of getting out of the room doing anything. His stomach is very sick now.
Whisk shook his head at the 'creativity' that he thought was strange and magical.
Haz tidied the archives to his campus. From beginning to end. For him it was not difficult to find the ruffled part.
"Ha! This is better!" exclaim Haz.
"You are very diligent, Miss," said Whisk.
"Being someone it must be neat. How do you read a piece of paper like that?" Haz starts reading the profile he made in that case. It may have been written by some famous profiler, but it is not so complete because Boy In The Box is a case of difficulty reaching class S.
How not? Who could have identified the body in 1957? Even prototypes to identify DNA do not exist! It is said that one family mutilated their child and put it in a cardboard box and left the cardboard in a forest area near Susquehanna Road, Philadelphia, United States. This case is a frozen case that is very difficult to solve, as there were no similar cases in that year. The boy killed was also about six years old and although police had already circulated a photo of the boy, no one claimed to know him.
In 1957, there was no fingerprint detector. Although the case reopened in 2020 with advanced technology, the 63-year-old fingerprint will never be found at all. Also the boy's DNA will not be identified in the data, because surely the data has disappeared there is no trace.
Actually the most interesting theory of the case is 'The Theory of Women Initialized M'. "M" testified to police that she had a very temperamental mother and her mother bought (adopted) a son from her biological family. Based on the testimony of "M", this boy often experienced physical and sexual violence after being adopted (purchased) by his mother. "M" said that the boy had been living in his house for about two and a half years. Even more bizarre is the testimony of "M" almost as much as the information that was found by the police on the body of the boy in the cardboard: His newly shaved hair, his clenched fingers like a bath, and his, even the autopsy results stated that in the stomach of the boy's corpse there were still the rest of the roasted peas. Was "M" a witness who witnessed the murder? Or "M" is the culprit? I don't know... No one knows about that. This case became a frozen case.
"One thing I was thinking." murmured Haz.
"Definitely think "M" is the culprit?" / "I think "M" is the culprit" Whisk and Haz said.
Whisk and Haz were shocked and looked at each other.
"I also thought about it from yesterday. The least he could remove was that he was a witness to the boy's physical and sexual abuse" Whisk said.
"You're right. And there is no way a murderer would testify unless he was very reckless. The case is actually unbreakable, the police just don't realize that "M" gave testimony to release him," Haz gave his assumption.
"It looks like I'm going to throw up listening to the thoughts of the two of you," Jel cut off on the sidelines of their exciting conversation.
"Rest in the next room. I have a hospital bed there. You look pale, Jel," Haz suggested.
Jel nodded, then immediately headed for the next room to rest there.
"But, come to think of it, what if he's the only key witness to the murder?" ask Whisk.
"Obviously he was the only person who was the key to this one mutilation case. It's hard not to suspect him. Our guess could be right or wrong" Haz replied.
"This is a case that happened sixty-three years ago, this case really has no way out other than the woman with the initials 'M', '" said the Whisk.
"What about alm. Mr. A bristow? That one medical investigator is a little suspicious... Defending to reveal the case until the end of his life. It even accuses someone in the orphanage" Haz said.
"Nothing suspicious about him. He was sympathetic to the passing of the little boy. He tried to uncover the reason behind his death because he was a medical investigator. He had autopsied various types of bodies for murder, but for a young child, he had only done it a few times, and this one was the worst," Whisk said.
"Squeaky... It may be alm. Mr. Bristow also knows something behind this case?" Haz seemed to be thinking of something.
"Looks like. But, this is just an assumption, the reality of who can guess it" Whisk said.
"It is difficult to solve a case whose time is over. After all, they as witnesses were already unable to testify even though the case was reopened," Haz returned the files to the Whisk.
"So, what are your plans if you become me and get a role in this case?" ask Whisk.
"I will definitely reject it!" answer Haz quickly. "That's a case that wastes time. A case that is approximately sixty-three years old where the witnesses are gone is a case that, although it can be solved now, can no longer get public attention. Because no one knows the child, not even this case in that year shocked the community."
"Because it just so happens that the police are conducting a closed investigation. The people are being questioned secretly. Of course it's not so spread out. Despite that, this investigation really did not produce any results at all" Whisk said.
"of course. Based on testimony..." Haz clenched his mouth tightly. Looks like he found something interesting. "Hey! Didn't the early 1000s to 2000 police use witnesses as their evidence in arresting the perpetrators?"
"Yes, that's right. What are you thinking?" ask Whisk back. She found a faint smile on Haz's face.
"And why wasn't anyone arrested at the time? Wasn't it clear when the woman with the initials "M" said that the boy had been physically or sexually abused by his mother? It's so exciting!" exclaim Haz. "I just thought about it! Looks like you can handle this case!"
"You mean why there's no arrest of the perpetrator when there's a witness?" ask Whisk.
"of course! Why is there no arrest of the perpetrator even though 'M' has given his testimony to the police? Isn't this weird? Why can he report that the child has been subjected to physical and sexual abuse on the authorities if he is not a wanted witness? Even his testimony was the same as what happened to the child! After the case, I'm sure it's going to be a very heated conversation" Haz gulped down a cup of jasmine tea brewed by Jel an hour ago.
"I've asked you about it. According to the information I got, the testimony of 'M' was not strong enough to arrest his own mother because her mother had an alibi at the time" said Whisk. Whisk grabs the cup that Haz is holding and drinks it on different sides.
"Hey! My tea!" exclaim Haz.
"It doesn't matter, does it? I thought a barbarian woman like you wouldn't matter a cup divided in half," teased Whisk.
Uh! Damnit damnit! Senior Alkaf is right. This attractive girl, the inner Whisk with a smile looked at Haz who was looking back at her with annoyance and annoyance.
"I don't care, in a sense not for you!" Haz folded his hands in front of his chest.
"Why is that?" ask Whisk. "Are you afraid of indirect kiss? Pfttt... It doesn't harm you, does it, Miss Lify?"
Haz was getting angry. "Of course it's a problem."
"The problem? I guess if you like someone it doesn't matter" Whisk said.
"Do I look like you, Mr. Sook Know?!" ask Haz ketus.
"Oh, obviously you like me. The proof, your face is blushing now," replied the relaxed Whisk. She likes to tease Haz.
"Hey! I do have a natural facial hue," Haz stared at the sharp Whisk.
Haz was right, he did have a natural face hue. However, Whisk is not entirely wrong because Whisk can see a comparison of natural facial hue with Haz's blushing face.
"If I take you out to dinner at my apartment, do you want to?" ask Whisk without further ado.
Haz pensively made. What...?? What did he just say?! And dinner?! In the apartment of a man that even I myself have not fully known?! O God... I think I have a hearing problem...
