"Little lady?" Haz frowned, not so fond of the call Waikit had given him. "I'm old enough, Old Man."
Waikit laughs. Hard enough, to attract the attention of people who are curious to see it. He ignored the people's gazes and said to Haz, "I love to piss women off. They look so sweet when they are upset. And also, I'm not as old as you think."
"I don't want to know your age. But, I'm as young as the universe and as old as milk teeth" Haz said, folding his hands together in front of his chest.
"All the universe and as old as milk teeth? Ah .. I remember, I once met a male writer from Indonesia as well. He said the same thing as you. It seems, you like to read his books," said Waikit.
"It's not fair ..," whined Haz. "How did you know him before than I did?"
"Maybe we're a fool?" Waikit shrugged his shoulders and smiled faintly at Haz. "Ah, the essence of our long talk is that I have of course experienced difficulties. Not just trouble. But, it's not solved at all."
Haz nodded in understanding. "I'd like to ask you for help, Mr. Waikit."
"I've heard it from James Stetson. Why are you trying when you're not a cop?" Waikit devoured his food slowly. His level of trust and comfort in Haz was already quite high.
Before Haz answers Waikit's question, the waiter interrupts their conversation. He carries Haz's order, also Whisk and Judel's.
Haz had also faintly heard the conversation of the two people behind him. I don't know what they're talking about, the long-haired lady doesn't want to know. They don't talk about strange things. It seemed like Whisk and Yudel had also become familiar.
The waiter moves from Haz and Waikit's desk to Whisk and Yudel's table, interrupting their conversation.
Haz ignores the Whisk and Judel situation. "Good meal" he told Waikit.
"You didn't answer my question" Waikit said as Haz stuffed the first mouthful. The woman immediately choked, coughing.
"Ah .. forgive my impoliteness!" waikit panicked and immediately gave Haz a bottle of water.
Haz receives water from Waikit, gulps it down, then stares intently at Waikit, which he finds very annoying.
This man is not a good listener, Haz thought.
"Why am I involved ...? Let's guess." Haz said when he was relieved enough.
"I'm not like you, of course I don't know. Are you all right? Or, should I shut my curious mouth? Or, how do you want it?" ask Waikit.
"Stop saying things that are a little annoying. I'm fine" replied Haz. His face instantly turned into one ready to explode if given one more question.
And, right then, Waikit closed his mouth and let Haz speak until he was done.
"I did it because the perpetrator had gone too far. Even involving myself. Although the media tried to be bribed and covered up about this case in order to be investigated to the fullest, without me, the person who became the only suspect because of the stupid rumors that circulated, without me, made by equally stupid victims, the police will find nothing. The man ...."
Haz pointed back, towards the Whisk. He cleared his throat and continued saying, "He will not cooperate with the police either. The country has a Police Force whose head is as hard as a rock. That man is too."
"You guys talk about me?" Whisk asked without looking towards Haz and Waikit, surprising the long-haired woman.
"Nothing," replied Haz as he turned the lazy ball that was greeted with the oh ria of the Whisk.
"All right, I get it. Then, what should I help you with? It just so happens that I've been on vacation lately. Maybe I can help you" Waikit said.
"Vacation? Don't lie. This doesn't include holidays, does it?" Haz chuckled lightly when he asked, making Waikit blush in embarrassment with a reddish hue.
"really. I'm not on vacation right now. I've been paid by James Stetson to help you and Whisky Woods. So, this doesn't count as a vacation" Waikit replied as he scratched his non-itchy head.
"Just calm down, Mr. Waikit. I will not give you a heavy and unreasonable request. I just want to ask you for help that suits your skills in the lab" Haz said.
Haz took out the things he wanted to know. First, the glass bottle he found at the Final Disposal Site (TPA) of the Vinzeliulaika twins' house. Second, the hoodie is dumped by a mysterious person in a trash can in the hospital hallway where Zenneth and Ric were treated.
"I'll give you the information. As fast as I can" replied Waikit.
"There's no need to rush, Mr. Waikit. I won't be in a hurry to find the culprit either. Let him show you his own nose," said Haz.
"Yes of course. In solving a puzzle, you must not rush. I understand the difficulties you are going through, Miss," Waikit said.
"Thank you then."
"Together."
After that, no more conversations took place between the two of them. Both Haz and Waikit were silent and enjoyed the food before them.
Until a few moments ahead ....
"Sir, may I ask this a little?" ask Haz
Waikit raised his head and turned his gaze towards where Haz's index finger was pointing. He replied, "Of course you can. Even though I'm a little unwilling."
Haz did not pick it up, causing Waikit to stare confusedly at him. "Why?" ask the man with a frown.
"You said a little unwillingly," Haz replied as he puffed his cheeks and looked resentfully at Waikit.
Waikit laughs. "I was just kidding," he said. "Please if Miss Resplendent Nephila wants to."
Haz stared in disbelief at Waikit. Still don't want to take what he wants.
"I really want to share with you. Come on, just take it. Don't hesitate. I was just kidding" Waikit said.
Haz smiled and took what he wanted.
"Is it delicious? Although I like the pungent smell, I don't quite match some dishes that use spices."
"I can guarantee that you'll like this one, Mr. Waikit. This cuisine will suit your taste."
