21: Alkaf's Doubt in Choosing

#NOTE: EVERYTHING TYPED HERE IS FICTION. PLEASE READERS DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND ALL THE THINGS WRITTEN BY THE AUTHOR!

"Jelkesy... I know you're worried now. It was also because of Phila's great-grandson who came when you and Alkaf were near again. But, believe me, an Alkaf will never let you down, Jel... I know him, and so do you. How he treats you completely differently to the way he treats Phila's great-granddaughter," Haz tries to convince Jel of all the sweet treatment Alkaf had on her. Both men deserve happiness.

Haz had known Alkaf for a very long time, very deeply. No secret that Alkaf had ever hidden to the woman. Even Haz knew that Alkaf could not forget Phila if Jel had not come to his life. Therefore, the woman greatly blesses the relationship between the two. Also, Alkaf and Jel already knew each other's parents. Their parents are both not even a problem with their relationship—though Mama Jelkesya actually had a little doubt about Alkaf's heart.

"But... He hesitates Haz... She hesitated.." sobs Jel. "She hesitated because Phila's great-grandson wanted to go back with her like she used to. What if it happens? Hasn't this relationship been in vain?" Jel's cry broke out after saying that.

Haz pulls Jel into his room and invites her to sit on his bed. He himself did that too.

"Jel... I'm sure he won't waste this relationship. Nor will he waste you. The difference between you and Phila's great-grandson is too far. It would be foolish of her to throw you away just for the sake of a Literary Stephila who once left her," Haz said, trying to comfort Jel. "If he does, I promise you, the two of you will never meet again. Even once, he begged. But, I'm sure he won't waste you."

"I feel unfair too, Hazelia Lify." said Jel amidst her cries.

"Did he ever treat you unfairly? Which part is it? Maybe I can tell her something she can't tell you because she doesn't want you to be burdened by her story" Haz said. The woman knew everything about Alkaf. He is a good listener, so Alkaf and Jel, even others can be very open and comfortable when telling him stories.

Jel shook his head slowly. "He's evil" Jel said. "What if it's gonna weigh on me he doesn't have to tell me? A couple does not have to have secrets between them in order to understand each other. How can I know him if I don't know his life story?"

"alright... Alright... I-i understand. Where do you want to start?" ask Haz.

"Everything. All you know. Whatever you want to start from," replied Jel.

"Well. Plug your ears and open your mind, Jelkesya. It's going to be a very long story, it's also emotionally draining" Haz said.

In another apartment...

Whisk peeked into Alkaf's room. Not usually the Senior that one opened the door of his room as wide as possible.

Whisk went into Alkaf's room and found the bespectacled man pensively, sculpting there. Like thinking of something, but he hesitated.

"Senior Alkaf, it looks like you're in a rage. Is something bothering you?" ask the Whisk to Alkaf.

Alkaf did not answer the Whisk question, nor did he turn to the reddish-browed man.

"You don't want to be disturbed, do you? Alright, I will leave you alone, Senior Alkaf. Hopefully after this, you can think more clearly. I'm sure you're thinking about something related to Miss Jelkesya" Whisk said.

When the Whisk wanted to move on from there, he could hear Alkaf asking, "What do you think should be done if the person you like wants to come back to you again after what he did?"

Whisk thought for a moment, then answered Alkaf's question. "I'll choose the woman now. Doesn't guarantee that an 'ex' can make you as happy as what happens in a novel."

Alkaf does not like Phila anymore, but somehow the man can not forget all the good things about him. Like Phila's smile, Phila's style, and Phila's gestures. She could not forget the long-buried thing about Stephila Literature.

"CONSCIOUS SENIOR!" exciting Whisk. He shook Alkaf's body intending to resuscitate his one Senior. "YOU MEAN, YOU WANT TO WASTE AND LEAVE A JELKESYA WHO IS ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU IN YOUR TIME OF DISTRESS FOR A 'FORMER' WHO ONCE LEFT YOU!?"

"I'm very conscious now, Whisky Woods." said Alkaf, shaking off the Whisk's hand from his body before the disembodied man shook his body again. "I'm just confused..."

"Obviously you're losing your mind, Senior," Whisk said.

"I'm very conscious..."

"As far as you are, Senior. My advice, you better choose Miss Liulaika Jelkesya. Never waste himself. You will regret it if you choose the person who left you and discard the person who was always there for you. Even though you never told him about your story, but he never asked and kept your feelings. It was a fatal mistake that you made, let alone against a Liulaika Jelkesya. You really have no heart, Senior Alkaf... If I become Jelkesya, I will slap and wake you up how unfortunately I—meaning Jelkesya—yamu,” oceh Whisk at length trying to resuscitate Alkaf.

Alkaf did not reply to the Whisk. He remained there and did not care about the departure of the reddish-bloomed man.

What am I supposed to do? that's what he had in mind.

About two hours later...

After Haz tells him and Jel throws a question...

"Now you understand?" ask Haz.

"Huaaa.." Jel's cry broke again. "I don't know. Excuse me... Sorry.." she said on the sidelines crying.

"Just because you don't know, you don't have to apologize. It's wrong Alkaf didn't tell you earlier" Haz growled. He's upset with a Jelkesya.

"You better take her out for a moment. Then, slap her so she can be conscious. It seems that now he is doubting his own choice" Haz gives Jel a very good suggestion. Although in the end Alkaf chose Jelkesya, he had to be slapped first in order to come to his senses.

"Isn't that too cruel?" ask plain jel.

"After he leaves you for Phila's sneakers, you will realize, huh, Liulaika Jelkesya?" Haz squinted his eyes at Jel sharply.

"If so, I just have to take her out, then slap her once, right?" ask Jel.

"That's absolutely right. You only need to slap her once so she realizes how sorry you are to her," bad Haz cheered.
