Wedding Contract Terms

After they finished inside the boutique, Zionel immediately took Stevani away from there.

"How's your mother doing?" ask Stevani.

"Just in shock." replied Zionel flatly.

"You sure you're gonna stay stubborn like this? Wouldn't put your mother in Zio's danger."

"Don't I tell you, nothing will happen to mommy. He was very healthy, he just took advantage of this situation to change my decision. And you don't add to this situation being difficult. You're quiet enough and just waiting for our wedding day."

"A little selfish, don't you think about me? I'm also involved in your family matters. If your parents don't approve, it's not the same as me going to hell."

"Have you forgotten my promise to protect you? Oh come on, Van, stop arguing about this. Nothing can change my decision. I'll marry you next week."

Stevani leaned her back against the car seat and stared out the window. "Actually that woman is better for you. You should have accepted your mother's match."

Zionel pulled the car over. "You want to know my biggest reason for refusing to get married?"

Stevani looked at Zionel questioningly.

"I didn't want to get married before I found Haena. That's my biggest reason."

"Then why are you..."

"Because I've slept with you." cut Zionel. "Do you want to hear more of the other reasons why I married you?" snapped it.

"You're afraid I'm pregnant, aren't you? And I don't think that's possible." Stevani replied stubbornly.

Zionel gritted his teeth, his cheeks throbbing withstanding anger. The man immediately grabbed a brown envelope in the back seat and handed it to Stevani.

"Read the contract you signed Miss, you can back off if you're up to the terms" Zionel said.

With trembling hands Stevani began to open the envelope, this time perusing the contents of the contract. His eyes widened when he knew the contents of the contract. His tears suddenly spread because some conditions made him very hurt.

"Why are you doing this to me?" stevani asked, sobbing.

Zionel let out a long breath. "When I force you Van, this is all you've agreed to."

"Another condition may be that I can still accept it, but how is it possible that if I conceive your child, automatic custody becomes yours. Do you think I'm gonna be an irresponsible mother? Do you think I don't have the heart to hand over my own son to someone else?"

"Other people? Whatchu mean? I'm the father of the boy."

"You'll throw me out after a year, but I have nothing, not even my own son you'll take from my hands. What do you mean to list terms like this Zio?"

"When did I say I'd throw you out after a year of Stevani? You should know it's for both of us."

"No...!!! It's not good for me. It's your selfishness, you're using cunning means to get me wasted with nothing. You're the bad guy I've met." shouted Stevani.

"Ah shit...why does he think that way? I just wrote down the terms just in case he doesn't run away from me after a year. If she's really pregnant with my son, all I want is for them to stay by my side." Zionel thought.

Stevani's tears were getting spilled, he sobbed until his body shook violently.

"Van. I have no evil intentions for you. This I do to protect my son later." Zionel tried to calm Stevani down.

Instead of being silent, Stevani cried even more. Zionel bit his lip, as soon as he got out of the car because he could not bear to see the woman crying so hard.

Zionel took his cell phone and called Alex.

"Where are you Lex?"

"Of course in the boss' company." Alex replied.

"Hurry up to Sam Ratulangi road. I wait now." Zionel ordered and hung up without waiting for Alex to answer.

Nearly an hour later, Zionel was outside the car waiting for Alex to arrive. He didn't want to get in the car and see Stevani again. Alex's car finally stopped right behind Zionel's car. Alex got out of his car and ran over to Zionel.

"Sorry boss, the streets are jammed badly" Alex said.

"Rushan? You're so free today."

"Ck. You're talking a lot Lex. Hurry up, I don't want my car flooded with tears."

"You're fighting again?"

Zionel immediately kicked Alex's leg making Alex grimace in pain.

"Oh well I'll take him home soon" Alex said, then approached Stevani's car door.

Alex opens the car door, not knowing what Alex is saying so Stevani gets out of Zionel's car.

After Zionel saw the woman get out, he immediately got into his car and gas his car at high speed leaving them.

Stevani gets into Alex's car with a very moody face and puffy eyes. Alex starts his car and starts driving it.

"Ehem... I'm sorry Van, if I may know what happened to you two?" ask Alex.

"Why didn't you say it Lex?" ask Stevani back.

Alex narrowed his eyes. "What?"

"The terms of the contract."

"When I asked you to sign it, I told you to read it first."

"I don't think about Lex's crazy terms. I didn't expect Zionel to be that slick." replied Stevani.

"Huh devious? Whatchu mean? Which condition makes you think that?" ask Alex.

"On child custody. What do you think about that? Am I not worthy to take care of a child because I was born into a poor family?"

"Oh my God, you misunderstood miss. I can guarantee a thousand percent on this matter."

"You don't stand up for your boss, I know what he thinks."

"For God's sake, I'm not defending anyone Van. Listen to me. Mr. Zio did this only to keep you by his side if you really are pregnant with his child. Trust me, Mr. Zio doesn't want you and your son to be separated from each other. He's doing this just to keep watch if one day you still want to get away from him."

"No. he was just afraid of losing his heir. Not afraid of losing me. If he had a heart, he couldn't have done this to me." Stevani replied stubbornly and then sobbed back.

Alex is confused to say especially because Stevani still does not believe his judgment about Zionel's true feelings.

"Then what do you want to do now?" ask Alex.

"Can't you help me change Lex's contract. I beg of you, help me. Didn't you say that I could ask you for help." asked Stevani.

"I did say it was Van. But there's a limit to my ability. The contract was held by Zio's personal lawyer. The power of the law is very strong, unless you can return the billions. And think about your brother's current condition as well. Trust me, no one is harmed here."

"Why don't you think about my feelings at all? I thought you could be my friend Lex."

Alex took a breath. "Miss Stevani Yunsu, if you don't believe my words. How can I be your friend? We build trust in each other, then we can be friends. And I'm sure there's no other option for you but to stick to this marriage contract. And one more thing you should know, if Mr. Zio doesn't have feelings for you, he might not be able to watch you cry until he calls me to pick you up."

Stevani flinch, he still can't believe that Zionel has feelings for a woman like her.
