Farewell

Alex has arrived at Stevani's contract, the man knocks on the door but there is no answer from inside. The confidence he had a moment ago suddenly disappeared instantly. He thinks that's not about Stevani. Without a second thought, he immediately grabbed his phone and contacted Zionel.

"Oh my God, can't you let me sleep Lex." Zionel snapped from behind his phone.

"Sorry Mr. Zio, I can't find Ms. Stevani" Alex replied.

"Huh? Found out? What do you mean Lex? Are you looking for something?"

"I mean Miss Stevani wasn't in her contract, could it be that the woman ran away and abandoned her intention to come with us?"

"Did your breakfast this morning not nourish your brain, Lex? Where may he run away while his sister is still in hospital care." Zionel said. "Find Ms. Yoyoh and ask her whereabouts" he added.

"Ah yes I forgot mom Yoyoh" Alex said with a laugh. "Good sleep again, Zio."

"Good sleep your head." Zionel snapped and hung up.

Alex laughed to himself at the rude scolding from his boss. He really forgot about Ms. Yoyoh to have to disturb his boss again. He immediately set his foot towards the house of Yoyoh.

Arriving in front of Yoyoh's house, Alex knocks on the door of the house. A few minutes later, the door opened. A man looked at him questioningly.

"Who's looking?" ask the man.

"It's Yoyoh's house, isn't it?" ask Alex.

The man nodded his head. "I'm his son, what's the matter?"

"Oh... May I meet with Ms. Yoyoh? I'm Alex assistant Zionel Cruise, maybe your mother told me. I want to pick up Miss Stevani but that woman..."

"Of course it's not home" the man cut off. "Vani with mom is going to Zaline's school" he added.

"Ah.. like that. All right, I'll wait for him." replied Alex.

"If you want to wait here is okay, please come in."

Alex shakes. "Thank you, I'll just wait in front of Miss Stevani's contract."

"All right then."

Alex says goodbye and returns to Stevani's contract again. The man waited long enough for Stevani's return. He kept looking at his watch. I hope they are not late to the airport. After an hour more he waited finally the figure he was waiting for appeared also with mom Yoyoh.

Alex sighed in relief then stood up from his seat and greeted Stevani.

"How long have you been waiting here, Mr Alex?" ask Stevani.

"Miss Vani, you don't get too formal with me. You can call me Alex. I've been waiting for about two hours here." replied Alex.

"Oh my God, don't you have my cell phone number. You should have called me before you came here. I was taking care of Zaline's school transfer" Stevani said, opening her contract door.

"Come in, sir, ah. I mean Alex." asked Stevani.

"Oh my God, I forgot about Miss Stevani's cell phone number. What's wrong with my brain? Did I lose my mind today?" thought Alex.

"I'd better be outside, miss."

"It's okay, there's Yoyoh ma'am."

"Right Mr. Alex, just come in. Mother also accompanies you." said Miss Yoyoh.

"Look.now a different man, it was dawn with another man. Ciiiih."

Suddenly two residents who had just returned from the market insulted Stevani again. Bu Yoyoh looked at them sharply.

Alex began to say about the law with a long article making them all stunned to hear it.

"And a prison sentence will await you all" Alex said at the end of his speech.

"Ciiiih. who slanders, let's just go."

"Thank you Lex" Stevani said.

"You can report it if you keep being bullied" Alex said.

"No need, they're just mom gossip mundane. Come on in.." take Stevani again.

They eventually entered into a contract. The contents of the room were completely empty, Alex stared at some suitcases and big bags there. He smiled because he was sure Stevani would come with them to D.

"Sorry there is no seat" Stevani said as he held a makeshift mat.

"It's okay, miss. Sorry I came here for..."

"I know, I'll sign it." Stevani cuts.

Bu Yoyoh took a drink and gave it to Alex. "Sign what neng?"

Stevani retrieves the file and signs it immediately to Alex's surprise.

"Miss.. you don't read the contents..."

"It's okay, I trust you" Stevani replied, handing over the file to Alex again.

Alex sighed, there were some conditions put forward by Zionel but the woman immediately agreed to it without reading first. He hopes Stevani doesn't misunderstand everything.

"Since you've agreed to come with us to D city, to make it easier for us to the airport, I'll take you directly to see Mr. Zio. Is this all his stuff?" ask Alex.

Stevani nodded her head. Alex got up from his seat and took Stevani's stuff.

"I'll take him to the car. You can say goodbye here." Alex added.

"Thank you Lex." Stevani replied, then looked at Ms. Yoyoh.

The look on Ms. Yoyoh's face turned sad. Stevani smiled widely as she looked at the middle-aged woman. But when they embraced, both of them sobbed. Stevani cried loudly, as did Ms. Yoyoh.

"Yes Allah neng..when did you meet again" said Mrs Yoyoh on the sidelines of her crying.

"I'm sorry Vani ma'am, I'm sorry, and thank you for everything." Stevani said in tears.

"Mom will definitely miss Neng Vani and neng Zaline. I must remember Neng always here."

"If I had time, I would definitely come here ma'am. Oh, my God, I will miss you too, Yoyoh."

They kept crying while hugging each other. The two did not expect to be separated, even though they had been together for a dozen years in the city of X.

"Bu Yoyoh must remember to take care of health always, someday I want to have children and tell them to call mom Yoyoh Grandma when coming here."

Stevani let go of her embrace, she wiped the tears of Ms. Yoyoh with her thumb.

"Don't cry anymore, Mom. We're not separated forever."

The two looked at each other while holding back their cries. But Ms. Yoyoh couldn't help it, the middle-aged woman hugged Stevani again and let go of her cries. They both cried until their tears stopped.

And the time of farewell arrived, with a heavy heart Stevani really left Miss Yoyoh without looking back.

"Goodbye ma'am, good-bye to the city that raised me, goodbye all my joys and sorrows here" Stevani thought as he walked steadily toward Alex's car.
