I'm Not a Cheap Woman

I'm Not a Cheap Woman
I'm Not a Cheap Woman

Stevani was always picked up by the abunemen, he had to hire the services of the monthly motorcycle taxi to make it easier for him to go home and go to work. His residence was so far from the word elite. The settlement is arguably very slum. The rented house he lived in was very small and was in a crowded settlement.

If the people around him just went to work, he just came home. That's what made him so derisive there. Often he heard people whispering to each other and called him a cheap woman. But Stevani can only smile and stay friendly in front of them.

He had reached the narrow alley. He got off his subscription motorcycle and walked down the road to his contract. Stevani greeted some of the people who passed by.

"Van... How many people are being served tonight?" taunting a woman who always yells at him there.

Stevani smiles. "Very much, I'm getting tired" he replied indifferently.

"Wah.wah..if you get a contagious disease, get out of here. We don't want to be close to a woman like you." he shouted.

Stevani sighed and continued in her footsteps. Often he was treated like that, but he could not be angry. Because his work will be seen in one eye. He finally arrived at the contract. Slowly he opened the door so as not to wake Zaline. But he gasped for a moment as Zaline stood there with a face full of anger.

"Oh my God, you surprised me" Stevani said. "Why are you awake?" tanyakanya.

"Can't I go with my sister to work. I'm tired of being home alone" Zaline said.

Stevani grinned. "Are you afraid of being alone?" tanyakanya.

"I am where there is fear. I am the bravest." replied Zaline.

"Then why do you want to come to work, beautiful lady. You need to focus on learning."

Zaline lowered her head sadly. Stevani looked at him and looked down slightly to see his sister's face. "What's wrong?" tanyakanya.

"They insulted my sister. They say you sold your body for money. Is that true?" zaline said as she sobbed.

Stevani let out a long sigh, he pulled Zaline into his arms. "Do you believe more in their words? Does your sister look like a cheap woman?" tanyakanya.

Zaline shook her head. "I believe in big brother, I told them that sister is not a cheap woman. But they don't believe me."

"Zaline. You don't have to explain anything to them. There is no point in making them believe in us. And you should think about your health, please take care of yourself because you don't want anything to happen to you. Brother looking for money is indeed in a bad place, but brother has self-esteem. He promised he wouldn't do such a dirty thing" Stevani said.

"Sister... Zaline loves her sister." she said.

"Of course I know because I love you too" Stevani replied. "It's still 4 in the morning, get some more sleep" he asked.

Zaline nodded her head as she climbed onto her small bed. Stevani patted his shoulder slowly so that his sister could fall back asleep. He held back his tears from being too sad about their current state.

"I'm sorry Zaline, you should have been nurtured by a good woman who was kinder and richer than me. We even have to sleep crammed like this. You even have to accept insults every day because of me. But know, I love you very much. Only you can make me survive until now. Your presence makes me want to quickly go home." thought Stevani.

After he believed his brother was asleep, Stevani immediately went into the bathroom. That's where he always cries. He can't hold back his tears anymore.

"Oh my God. protect Zaline. I'm willing to be hurt but don't make him sick. I am not a cheap woman, until now I still keep my chastity. But I explained anything to everyone would be in vain, because my work is like this. I tried to be indifferent and indifferent, but when Zaline had to accept such insults, I could not bear God." Stevani muttered with tears.

Stevani kept trying to calm himself. Once she was able to calm down again, she came out of the bathroom. He set an alarm on his phone so Zaline wouldn't wake up late to school. He also laid his body beside Zaline. His eyes began to close with fatigue. He finally fell asleep.

The alarm sounds deafening, but Stevani does not wake up at all because she is soundly asleep. Zaline grabbed the phone that kept ringing with eyes still heavy to open.

Zaline forced herself to get up and looked at Stevani who was asleep. He smiled and kissed the beautiful woman. Slowly he came down from his bed into a very narrow kitchen.

"What should I cook for my sister?" zaline Mummings. "If I was noisy in the kitchen, you must have woken up" he murmured again.

Zaline came back out of the kitchen. He picked up his school bag and began reaching for the bag to find his pocket money.

"I still have money. I'd better buy you breakfast for brother." said Zaline.

He went from there and went out to find a breakfast merchant around the rented. Zaline found a rice stall that was already open.

"Mom.." call Zaline.

"Yes" replied the merchant.

"What is rice for breakfast?" ask Zaline.

Zaline nodded her head.

"It's usually Vani's sister who makes breakfast, right?"

"Yes, but Brother Vani is still sleeping now. Looks exhausted." replied Zaline.

"Just come home early."

Zaline nodded back.

"Usually if the breakfast can be nasi uduk, fried rice or vegetable rice. What's the usual breakfast at home?"

"I don't want breakfast, but it's for you" replied Zaline.

"Then just vegetable rice. Maybe Neng Vani woke up in the afternoon. Rice ma greens mom split ya."

Zaline nodded her head and waited for the merchant to prepare his meal. Zaline looked at the few people who were having breakfast there. They all stared at Zaline full of scorn.

"Mom...would people around here only judge people from the outside?" ask Zaline to the merchant.

"What does neng mean?" ask the confused trader.

"Sister Vani is a good woman, she doesn't sell herself for money, but why do so many people insult her?"

"Ong, don't think about it. I know that Vani is a good woman. Here's the food." replied the merchant and handed the food to Zaline.

"How much mom?" ask Zaline.

"No need to neng, neng Vani will pay. Ready to go to school."

"But..."

"It's okay.neng Vani often buy rice here. Money keep it for snacks at school."

"If everyone were as good as mom" Zaline said.

The merchant laughed. "Neng take care of his health so that Neng Vani is not sad anymore."

Zaline nodded. "Yes ma'am, thank you." he replied as he left the rice stall.

Bu Yoyoh shook his head as Zaline had already left her stall. He is very fond of Stevani and Zaline. Everyone insulted them, but Ms. Yoyoh knew exactly what Stevani was like. The woman also often confided in Ms. Yoyoh.

"Isn't that Vani's sister?" ask one of the customers.

"Yes..."

"Beautiful as her sister. Too bad..."

"What a shame? Don't judge people if there's no evidence."

"Well, let alone proof, the workman leaves early in the afternoon at dawn."

"Even if it's not necessarily selling itself. Do not add to the sin of the morning." said Miss Yoyoh.

"Mom always defended the Vani." said the buyer was upset.

Bu Yoyoh just shook his head.
