Erik weighed in on the decision he had to make. Between having to trust Mauren's statement that looks so serious when conveying, or trust his own intuition that doubts one hundred percent that Varissa is capable of doing that.
"Maybe you heard wrong, Mauren!" erik ignored all the suspicions that had crossed. It is impossible that Varissa who he knew since college was able to hurt others while the woman's person was spoiled, timid and very unbearable.
"You don't believe me, do you?" mauren asked with an expression of disbelief.
"It's not that you don't believe it, it's just that what you say is far-fetched." Erik took a long breath. He thought that Mauren might take advantage of her ailing condition to pit herself against Varissa.
"So, now you've started defending your wife, huh?"
"Mauren!" Erik snapped loudly.
Mauren's guts shrunk immediately. Never had she heard Erik yell this loud at her. Plus, he is sick right now. Supposedly, the spoiled treatment he got from the man. But what happened was just the opposite.
"Don't ever talk about this again, okay! I don't want you to vilify Varissa just for the sake of pitting me against her."
"But, Mom...,"
"Enough!" Erik raised his palm. "If you intend to mess up my plans, then it's better that our relationship is done here!" Erik's.
Mauren's eyes were shocked. Breaking up? No. gabe. Mauren never dreamed of parting with Erik. It means saying that Varissa is behind the accident that happened to her is just to convey the truth. There was absolutely no intention in his heart to mess with Erik's plan. He also knew how important the plan was to Erik. He knew that the mission of seizing the entire wealth of Varissa was the number one thing Erik was currently prioritizing.
"I'm sorry, Mom!" Quickly, Mauren hugged Erik's waist who was standing next to his safe.
"I don't want to break up with you. Please forgive me!" door's welding.
Erik pinched the base of his nose. His head was full of all sorts of problems. He has not yet fully gained the trust of Varissa again, even now Mauren actually did the act.
"Next time, I don't want to hear you're in that nightclub anymore. It's not Varissa who harmed you, Mauren! But, drinks."
Mauren bowed silently. It was true that he was drunk. But, his ears were also not deaf when one of the thugs who was about to desecrate him mentioned clearly Erik's name. Stay away from Erik if you want to survive. The words continued to ring in Mauren's ears. So, if Varissa didn't send them, then who did? Does Erik have any other women besides himself and Varissa?
"Now you're okay. I'm going home!" erik said after glancing at the clock on his wrist.
"Mas, but I'm afraid to be alone here!" said Mauren while holding Erik's wrist.
Honestly, Erik also did not have the heart to leave his lover alone in the hospital. But how else? He also could not be in this place for a long time because there is Varissa who is also waiting at home.
"You call Fara for your message, yeah! I can't tonight. Varissa will be able to suspect that I'm not coming home" Erik said.
Inevitably, Mauren was forced to comply. He didn't want Erik to get angry like that. If he breaks up from Erik, where else does he get a source of money that flows like water?
******
Varissa's face smiled as her husband's car moved into the gate. He watched from above the balcony while playing the end of his hair which was blown by the wind.
"Go home to you, Mom!" he muttered in a small voice.
"Erik's home?" ask someone who came up from behind Varissa.
"Here you go" replied Varissa, turning around.
Dikta peeked out from the balcony. He saw the figure of Erik walking into the house.
"If so, I'll go home now!" said Dikta flat.
Dikta grinned. "Through here" said Dikta, pointing to the balcony wall.
"No," bell Varissa. "If you fall, what? Your bones will break!"
Anxiety filled Varissa's face. Comeon! Dikta is not a ninja who can climb down unharmed from this 5-meter-high balcony.
"You want a bet?" Dikta was already preparing to jump, but Varissa's small hand held her arm.
"Sorry!" said Varissa who suddenly tensed up as the glare of Dikta's sharp eyes stared at her. In a hurry he removed his hand from the man's arm.
"Don't get hurt!" lirih Varissa bowed. He was unable to stare once more at that pair of sharp jet neutrals. Really am! That look ransacked his heart without the need for the owner to do anything. Cheating!
Choosing not to answer, Dikta immediately jumped from the balcony and moved to a tree that grew nearby and then down into the ground smoothly. He waved when he got to the bottom without getting hurt as Varissa was worried.
"Why, Honey?"
Varissa was aghast when Erik was already beside her. He could not hide his shock due to the sudden presence of the man.
"Mass?" call Varissa nervous.
"Do you see what's downstairs? How exciting it seems," asked Erik who came to look down.
Varissa's heart stopped beating for a moment. If Erik sees Dikta, it's done. Circumstances will turn into a series and Varissa's plan must start all over again. Of course with a big change.
"Nothing, really." Erik looked at Varissa again. The woman looked down and could breathe a sigh of relief when the figure of Dikta had indeed disappeared. I don't know where the guy ran off to.
"So, there's a bird that fell from that tree, Mas!" Varissa pointed to the tree that Dikta had used to descend. "But I think it's flying again!"
"Oh," Erik nodded in understanding. As good as heart, this is his wife. Varissa is indeed a gentle and attentive figure to fellow beings. Impossible, his wife as good as this is able to harm Mauren.
"Why are you dumb, Mas?"
Erik. "No, it's okay."
"Where is Mr Beni?"
"good. It's just a mild heart attack" Erik answered lying.
"Tomorrow, can I look at Mr. Beni with you?"
Again, Erik found himself in trouble. What more reason must he dispel Varissa's suspicions? If he refused, then Varissa would of course be furious.
"Can you, Mas?" persuade Varissa while holding Erik's hand.
"I-iya," Erik nods spontaneously.
The man closed his eyes in frustration. Meanwhile, Varissa was already cheering cheerfully while hugging the body of the husband.
Meanwhile, just below them, Dikta who was hiding by closing his body to the wall so as not to be seen by Erik seemed to smile small.
"Don't get hurt? Meaning what?" muttered the man while looking up.
