Chapter 17

Heru had known Alina since she was a child. Heru was eight years old at the time, while Alina was four, half Heru's age. Alshad was seven years old. Alina is an adorable little girl with chubby cheeks. Heru practically placed himself as the oldest brother in the family. Heru treats Alshad and Alina like younger siblings, just as Heru treats younger children in orphanages. Alina's cheerful and spoiled nature makes it easier to get close to the little girl.

"Mas Helu's...Mas Helu, please take the red ball...."

Whine Alina while pointing at the ball she just threw.

"Ye spoiled, grab yourself donk!" Alshad chimed in in with annoyance.

"Don't take Mas Heru, he can take it himself!"

Heru only shook his head to see the two brothers who almost always quarreled over small things. Heru then took the ball to Alina who was immediately greeted with a sweet smile of the little girl by showing small teeth lined up neatly.

"Thank you Helu..."

"Ye takenin Mas Helu ye.mas Helu neither good nor kayak evil sister Alshad, wek!"

Alina poked her tongue towards her brother, then ran.

One day the family of Doctor Hendra invited Heru to go to the beach for a vacation together. Heru had never gone to the beach because no one had invited him. But Heru was used to playing in the river near the orphanage and Heru was quite good at swimming with the skills he had learned by self-taught.

Doctor Hendra invited Heru to vacation for a few days in the archipelago that has many beautiful beaches.

At first Heru with Alshad and Alina was engrossed in playing on the edge of the white sandy beach. Alina is busy making castles from the sand of the beach while Alshad is busy kicking the ball alone. Actually Alshad invites Heru to play together, but Alina does not allow.

"Mas Helu can't play ball with Brother Alshad. Mas Helu here just accompany and help Alina make a big and good castles!"

Tell the little girl like a princess. Heru also has no power to argue. Being between two sisters who always fight over it makes Heru feel confused, but in the end Heru chose to accompany Alina. And because of that Alshad became upset. Alshad kicked the ball alone not far from where Alina built her sand castle.

"Sir Heru, I want to enter for a while yes, would like to take food and drinks for you, please watch and take care of Alina yes....", Bu Hendra's message to Heru before then go inside the resort to pick up the promised food.

"Yes Ma'am", answered Heru obediently.

Heru then went back to Alina and accompanied the little girl who was engrossed with her bucket and shovel of sand. Alshad is seen still busy with the ball and then, whether intentionally or not, the ball is hurtling towards Alina's sand castle. In one blow alone, the fragile sand palace was already ravaged. And the sound of Alina's crying broke.

"Huhuhu...Bad brother Alshad, evil brother Alshad, cook my pasil palace in hanculin, how is this brother? make difficult....".Alina sobbed while lamenting her sand palace which had been ravaged.

"Alina, don't cry, let's make it together again", Heru tries to persuade Alina.

"No way, Alina's tired, Kal Alshad is evil!"

Alina cried while running towards the beach. Some time Alina was seen playing with the waves that wet her feet. Heru and Alshad followed close to Alina.

"Here Brother Alshad, Mas Helu.main the water here is more subtle..."

"Don't play with Alina's water, your clothes will get wet" Alshad said.

"Let's get wet, you can change your clothes later..."

Alina was getting more engrossed and involuntarily walked further and further towards the ocean.

"Be careful Alina, don't go too far..."

Alina was still seen laughing, until then a rather large wave came suddenly and rolled Alina's small body into it.

"Aaaa.please Brother Alshad..air.air..air..please..."

Within a split second Alshad and Heru were transfixed, watching as the embossed Alina sank with her small hands flailing to the surface.

Alshad was trembling in fear. But his feet are petrified.

Without thinking for a long time Heru ran towards the sea to chase after Alina. The sea water felt cold and strong currents as if making the Alina who was near back away. Heru remembered Bu Hendra's message as he told her to watch over and look after Alina. He was negligent of that trust. Heru then focused towards Alina. Heru exerted all his calm and then swam closer towards Alina. And Hap! Finally the little girl was caught. Heru carried Alina's small body which felt very heavy due to the pressure of the water. Alina finally survived without any injuries. Doctor Hendra decides to go home and end their vacation sooner. Alina who is usually cheerful and chatty looks always silent on the way home. It seemed like the incident still scared Alina.

"Thank you so much, Mas Helu, you are my hero", said little Alina, hugging Heru, as her family sent Heru back to the orphanage.

"Thank you very much Son Heru", said Doctor Hendra before leaving the home.

Such are the memories of their childhood that are still attached to Heru's mind. In fact, when they are teenagers, they are getting busy with school and their respective affairs. Alina was no longer a spoiled little girl. Alina has been transformed into an independent teenage girl and prefers to spend her time hanging out with her friends rather than staying at home.

Since then, every time Heru was invited and came to stay at the residence of Doctor Hendra's family, Heru increasingly rarely met and saw Alina. Alina is often in the room or out with her friends. There Heru more often met and spent time with Alshad. And then they got closer and friendlier.

Until then, one day when Heru came out of the house with Alshad, they passed by Alina who had just returned and was about to enter the house. Heru was bewitched for a while to charm the girl. Beautiful girl with clean skin with long hair. Heru did not even recognize the girl as Alina.

"Who's that pretty girl bro?", Heri's reflexes asked Alshad.

"That's my grandpa Alina, time forgot?"

Since then Heru no longer views Alina as a spoiled little girl, but as a beautiful girl who has captivated her heart.
