Nur and Ghibran's mother entered the ICU after being allowed by doctors. They saw my eyes begin to open. Both of them stood beside the man's bed.
"Dad, you finally came to your senses!" said Ibu Nur. She held the husband's hand.
"Mom, I'm sorry ...," said Mr. Abdul.
"Already, dad. I've forgiven all of my mistakes. Now don't think much, let it heal quickly," replied Bu Nur in a soft voice.
"Mom, I'm sorry Rachel too" Abdul's father said.
"Yes, Dad. I have forgiven everything" replied Bu Nur.
"Ghibran, forgive me and Rachel, sorry if I let you down." Abdul continues to talk. Mother Nur has forbidden it.
"Dad, I should be the one apologizing. Now don't talk much. Focus on your health" Ghibran said.
"Dad dreamed Rachel was gone. He's gone, right? How's dad's son, your sister?" ask Abdul again.
Nur and Ghibran looked at each other. How could they say Rachel's gone. Afraid it'll make dad drop.
"Tell me. What happened to Rachel and the father's son?" ask Dad in a stern voice.
Mother Nur and Ghibran looked at each other. In his mind whether they should lie so that father would not worry.
"Say the truth. Don't fib. I saw Rachel was gone, is that true? What about dad's son?" Dad asked back.
"Father's son survived. Beautiful little princess," replied Ghibran in a soft voice.
"Rachel ...." The same question I asked.
"Sorry Dad, Rachel has gone ahead of us all" Ghibran replied.
Dad fell silent and closed his eyes. His breath seemed to be very hunting. Dad grabbed Mother Nur's hand and held it. The woman could no longer hold back the crying. He saw Abdul's love for Rachel. The same love they had when they were married.
"Ghibran, Mother, I'm taking my daughter. Give her the name Hana Kayla Maira. Please take care and love him. Please let go of your father, and forgive the father who cannot be the best father and husband. Ma .. a ...."
I said an apology before closing my eyes again. From the monitor screen, his heart rate looks very weak.
The ghibran immediately ran out of the room to call the doctor. While Mother Nur shook her husband's body slowly to re-open her eyes.
"Dad wake! Don't leave mom. I'm willing if I'm looking for a replacement for my mother, as long as I can still see my father. Please don't leave me, Dad. Don't punish this heavy mother. I've forgiven all of my mistakes. Wake up, Dad," said Ibu Nur with tears.
Nur's mother still shook the husband's body. Hoping if the man who had accompanied her for thirty years of marriage, became aware.
Thirty years of marriage, father can always understand and accept himself. Although he had many shortcomings and was always chatty, but the man was never angry. At least he was just advising. That was what made her very objectionable when she heard her husband double up.
Ibu Nur was jealous, imagining his young wife Pak Abdul would get more treatment from him. At the beginning of the marriage, they were never separated. Where there is Nur's mother there must be Abdul's father. The wife also works.
"Dad, please wake up!" said Bu Nur in a weak voice. He looked at the monitor screen. Dad's heartbeat has stopped beating. His body feels weak.
The doctor and the Ghibran came in. The doctor then asked Ibu Nur and Ghibran out, he and the nurse will check on Mr. Abdul.
With a shuddering step, Mother Nur walked out of the room. The ghibran hugged his mother's frail body.
A few minutes later the doctor came out of the room. Nur and Ghibran's mother stood up to the doctor.
"How's my husband doing, Doc?" Ibu Nur asked in a very weak voice.
"Father, Mother .. sorry, we as humans can only try and all the will is on Him. We apologize for not being able to save you" said the doctor.
"Have my father left, Doc?" ghibran asked in a weak voice as well.
Slowly the doctor nodded his head in response. The world collapsed for Mother Nur when she saw the doctor's answer. Her body felt weaker and finally fainted. Luckily, Ghibran welcomed him.
