HIJRAH IS LOVE

HIJRAH IS LOVE
Chapter 61. Breakfasted

That morning, Ghibran and Aisha woke up earlier than usual. The two of them looked at each other with a sweet smile full of happiness. The day was special because both of Ghibran's parents, Mr Abdul and Ms Nur, were staying at their home.

"Aish, we should make a nice breakfast for them. They must be happy" said Ghibran, rubbing his still somewhat sleepy eyes.

Aisha nodded in agreement. "Of course, Mas. Let's go to the kitchen and start preparing a special breakfast for them."

Before long, Ghibran and Aisha were already busy in the kitchen. Ghibran eagerly assisted Aisha in taking the ingredients from the refrigerator and chopping vegetables deftly.

"Really, you don't have to help, Mom. I can take care of everything myself" Aisha said as she looked at Ghibran with an expression between happy and a little worried.

Ghibran replied with a warm smile. "It's okay, honey. I want to help and involve myself in the preparation of this breakfast. Let everyone know that I can help you cook with my hands."

Shortly after, the fragrant fragrant food began to spread throughout the house. Aisha tasted the soup sauce she had just cooked and smiled with satisfaction. "It tastes good, Mas. I'm sure both of your parents will love it."

Ghibran nodded in agreement while praising Aisha. "Of course, honey. You are an expert in cooking. I'm lucky to marry a chef like you."

They have prepared the table lovingly. All of Aisha's dishes are neatly displayed on the dining table. They were both happily awaiting the arrival of Ghibran's parents.

When Mr. Abdul and Ibu Nur went down to the dining room, they were surprised to see that Ghibran was already there. "Ghibran, what are you doing here? I don't think it's appropriate for a husband to cook. Mother never allowed your father in the kitchen" said Ibu Nur in a slightly cynical tone.

"Sorry, Mom. I just want to help Aisha prepare breakfast for everyone. I believe that the ability to cook is not dependent on gender, but rather the intention and desire to make others happy" Ghibran said.

"That cooking is not really a wife's duty. However, it is the husband who is obliged to do so. In fact, more than that washing clothes and breastfeeding children are also actually charged to the husband. However, if the wife helps it is better," continued Abdul.

Nur's mother was silent at the husband's words. Aisha did not want to open her voice. He doesn't want to argue.

"I'm sorry, my son. Maybe times have changed. I just haven't gotten used to the new thinking. But I'm glad to see you two working together to prepare this breakfast" Ibu Nur replied at last.

He did not want to prolong this matter. Later at home her husband can lecture her.

"Thank you, Mom. I just want to help Aisha. He wanted to make a special breakfast for mom and dad. It's a pity that only he cooks. After all, as my father said, all kitchen work is the duty of my husband. Not a wife" replied Ghibran.

Aisha smiled at the husband's answer. She felt grateful to have a husband like Ghibran who always stood up for her.

After that, the atmosphere of the kitchen returned boisterous with laughter and jokes. While Ghibran and Aisha worked together to complete the cuisine they presented lovingly for both Ghibran parents. Their goal is to bring happiness and satisfaction to all their loved ones. Syifa also helps, even if it is just washing vegetables.

Although Nur's mother was somewhat unacceptable at first, she finally saw with her eyes that Ghibran and Aisha were a couple who valued each other, worked together, and supported each other. Finally, the breakfast was beautifully served and everyone could enjoy the delicious meal.
