Ghibran did not comment on the words of his mother Annisa. He took his wife and son to sit down. As usual, Syifa sat down while hugging Aisha. The doll she was carrying was held by her mother.
Mother Nur stared at the three without a blink. It seems to dislike the attitude of Ghibran who did not ignore the question of his sister who is Annisa's mother.
"Didn't you hear the question from your aunt, Ghibran?" ask Ibu Nur with great emphasis.
"Of course I heard. I think Auntie didn't ask, but it was just a statement."
Ghibran answered his mother's words with his head lowered. Not wanting to prolong the problem.
"This is my son. My biological son. Is there anything I want to ask you again?" ask Ghibran.
All the families are silent. Annisa and Ikhbar along with her son, have just arrived. His mother immediately took over Aqila who was in the arms of Ikhbar. She smiled at all the families. Actually he was embarrassed to join the family gathering because the news of Ikhbar's departure yesterday was widely known to them.
"I'm sorry I'm late" Annisa said before sitting down. He and Ikhbar sat side by side.
Suddenly, Aqila's voice cried while pointing at the doll Aisha was holding. Maybe the little girl wants to have it.
"You want the doll, Oma," said Aqila cadel. The almost two-year-old boy was crying .(Let's just say Aqila speaks slurred. I don't understand writing children's language. 🙊)
"It's not a doll Aqila. Oma grab your doll first" said Annisa's mother. The woman gave Aqila to Annisa. He went into the guest room and brought his granddaughter's doll.
When her mother Annisa gave the doll to Aqila the boy refused and cried. He still pointed at the doll that was in Aisha's hands. Noticing her doll at the point, Syifa immediately hugged her.
Aqila cried even more, she still wanted a Syifa doll. Seeing that, his mother Ghibran stood up. He's approaching Syifa. Without asking, Mother grabbed the doll in the boy's arms and handed it to Aqila. Annisa's son was instantly silent and hugged her doll.
"The phone is for Aqila's sister, rather than her crying" said her mother Ghibran.
Syifa immediately hugged Aisha. Without the sound of tears falling down her cheeks. The woman did not seem to accept her son crying.
"Why, Honey?" ask Aisha gently.
"Bonekaku, Mi. I want the doll" Syifa said stammered with tears.
"Sorry to Aqila, Syifa asked for her doll. Aqila's got a doll, right?" ask Aisha gently.
"Sorry, Ma'am Aisha. This is the doll" Annisa said, handing over the doll to Aqila. The little boy immediately shouted to see the doll returned.
"You want the doll" cried Aqila.
His mother Annisa persuaded by giving all the dolls of her granddaughter who was in her house. However, the little girl was still crying and refused all her oma-given dolls.
Other families seem to be engrossed in their respective activities. Family meetings to establish the friendship, it was deliberately held just to gather and eat.
"Syifa, just give me the doll. Grandma bought another doll. What do you want, grandma can buy. Poor sister Qila was crying. So the sister had to give up" said Ibu Nur.
"I don't want to, Grandma. This is a doll given by Mother Yeyet," said Syifa slowly.
"Give it to sister Qila. Don't you pity, look at her crying like that. Later bought a much better than that," said Ibu Nur.
The woman then stood up and took back the Syifa doll and handed it to Aqila. The boy instantly shut up and laughed getting his wish. Now it was Syifa who was crying.
Ghibran persuaded the princess. He doesn't want to be a problem.
"Later Papi bought a bigger doll. Syifa can choose which one you like" Ghibran said. But the little girl kept crying.
She hugged Aisha and said, "Mommy, that's a doll given by Mother Yeyet, I want that." While crying he spoke.
Aisha looked deep in breath. There was enough drama that he saw. Silence does not mean it can be stepped on.
"Annisa, can't you persuade Aqila. Don't get used to it. If the child wants someone else's property, you try to give understanding. If not everything she wants it must be had," Aisha said softly.
"Sorry, Ma'am. Here's the doll" Annisa said and gave the doll to Syifa.
Aqila shouted back asking for the doll. Annisa then took her away from the room.Mama also came, wanting to persuade the granddaughter.
"What are you, Aisha? Who gave the doll to Aqila, mother. Why Annisa is to blame. The doll is also ugly. What harm did it do to Aqila. You can buy it again for Syifa" said Ibu Nur.
Aisha took a deep breath. Trying to dampen emotions that are already almost peaking. Ghibran saw the unpleasant situation immediately voiced out.
"Mom, this isn't about the good or bad of the doll. Maybe Syifa has her own memories on this doll. So that he does not want to be replaced with others" said Ghibran.
"You should also give understanding to your child, in order to like to give. Don't stingy. Came to the small. It wasn't Annisa's fault, anyway. His name is also a small child, if you want something must cry," said the mother ketus.
Aisha seemed to be unable to hold back her emotions anymore. He stood up and pulled his daughter's hand slowly.
"It's not about bad or good. It's not about being stingy or not. Giving up has its place too. Parents should be able to teach their children not to have the habit of asking for or wanting to have someone else. Later the child can think, by crying, all his wishes will be granted even if it is not his right," said Aisha with emphasis.
Aisha then took her daughter Syifa, stepping in to leave the place. Nur's mother did not seem to accept her daughter-in-law's words.
"I know better how to educate children. Syifa is not your real child. She's my granddaughter. Let me teach you how to be kind to older and younger people. You should be taught manners. And don't get along freely later after the big one!" said Ibu Nur.
Aisha held her chest in pain hearing the last words from her in-laws. Without answering, he walked out of the room.
