A Week has passed. The relationship between Mr. Abdul and Ibu Nur is improving. The woman had already started doing everything she was used to and was acting naturally again.
That morning one day in a quiet little town, Mr. Abdul sat in the living room restlessly. The look on his face was tense, and his eyes seemed to emit a sense of uneasiness. He held onto a piece of paper that looked worn out, which was an invitation to a reunion of his office friends in another city.
With a pounding heart, Mr. Abdul called his wife, Ibu Nur, who was cooking in the kitchen. "Nur, there is something I want to tell you" said Mr. Abdul while tidying his gray hair. "I want to go out of town to attend a reunion of my friends. I feel it's important for me to remember the past and spend time with them."
Ibu Nur, who was stirring the dough at the time, turned his head and saw the tense face of Mr. Abdul. His heart was instantly filled with anxiety. "But Well, why didn't you tell me earlier? I'm surprised to hear it now" he said in a soft voice.
Pak Abdul let out a long sigh and pulled the chair in front of Ibu Nur. "I'm sorry, Nur. I was confused and scared to tell you because I didn't want to hurt you. However, this reunion has become important for me to face my retirement. Maybe in the next few years I can no longer go out of town unaccompanied. I'm getting dusk."
Seeing the concern of his wife's face, Mr. Abdul decided to be honest about one more thing. He realized that his honesty might make Mother Nur feel jealous, but regret was too late to change things. With a tense feeling, he said, "Nur, I also want to visit Rachel, my wife. The content is getting bigger."
Nur's mother was shocked to hear the husband's words. Just now he had learned to sincerely accept everything, directly in the slap of reality if he had currently been in honey. His face turned pale and his eyes were teary. "Rachel? Your young wife? Why do you want to meet him? Do you want to accompany him to the birth?” mother Nur asked in a shaken voice.
Mr. Abdul wants to explain everything, so that Ibu Nur understands what happened. "No, Nur. I just wanted to make sure he was okay. She is my wife too. What else is she currently pregnant, I should be able to confirm if she doesn't lack anything."
Mother Nur's voice trembled as she replied to the husband, "What are you saying, Well? Didn't you promise to prioritize me?" ask Mother Nur.
Mr. Abdul immediately grabbed the hand of Ibu Nur with full softness. "Bu Nur, you are my true love. I love you with all my heart. Rachel was just a part of my life. Just because I visited her doesn't mean I'm numbering her. Am I not more with you. It's not fair, but whatever it is to me you're the main one. I hope you believe and understand."
Mr. Abdul tried to wipe away Mother Nur's tears gently. "Nur, I understand your jealousy. But trust me, I will always come back to you. Nothing can replace your place in my heart. I just want to be a fair husband and keep our relationship happy."
Slowly, Ibu Nur wiped his tears and clasped Mr. Abdul's hand tightly. His face imagined an invisible inner struggle. She wanted to trust her husband wholeheartedly, but her anxiety and jealousy remained.
Meanwhile at Ghibran's home, the man and his two beloved women are preparing to head to the city. They want to buy all the baby stuff.
"Aisha, Syifa, are you ready?" shout Ghibran. It had been almost an hour he waited, but there was no sign they had finished with his preparations.
"A little while, Pi. Patience ...," said Syifa.
The ghibran can only massage his chest and pull his hair in frustration. Always like this, every time they will go out of town they both riweh with their luggage. An hour passed and the two of them came out of the room with their bags in their hands.
"Bapi, let's hurry. It will be noon rush, it can be until night in the city," said Syifa.
In his heart Ghibran said, Who made them late. Was it not the princess and her wife who made their journey so delayed.
