Gondo Flower
Chapter 61: The West Forest

The car continued, leaving smoke billowing along the dirt road, until it arrived on the paved road, then they could all breathe a sigh of relief.

"What the hell was that?" asked Danu who was sitting in the front seat.

"The agent must know what it is" said Alingga in response to Danu's question.

Danu. He knows, but he's not sure either. He never saw the creature directly. If you recall, the old man's story used to be a little awkward. How do they know the existence of a basket whose place is at the gate segoro, have they ever crossed death?

Unfortunately, what Danu believes is just a story. Until he saw it directly, then he believed the existence of this creature.

"So, what's after this? What's the next location?" ask Danu.

"If everyone agrees, why not? Faster is better!" answer Alingga with a view towards Danu.

"Wes bengi, Ngga! Not as bad as wae?" (It's night, Ngga! Not tomorrow?) refute Zainal who sat beside Alingga. Alingga turned her head, blinking her eyes a few times. Then back to his original position.

"No! Like our deal this morning! The night when they let our guard down!" Alingga answered with certainty, she focused her eyes on the light of the lamp that was shining down on the road. Carried to the night insect that hit him.

There was doubt in Zainal's mind. But they also don't have much time. Zainal tries to understand, not because Alingga is selfish, but because time is running low.

They had died in the city, heading west, where thousands of acres of wild trees grew. Deep inside, the native vegetation of the swamp forest under the shade of the tropical rainforest is a lush body without the touch of a human hand. Those parts of nature harbour mysteries that humans cannot solve, such as nuclear, which are extremely dangerous and can also help if you know how to use them.

The forest forced them to say hello, admiring the darkness that moonlight could not break through, admiring the tall pillar pillars that were like a living labyrinth. Along the right and left, the darkness devours what is seen, leaving behind a small light, to tell the world what emptiness feels like.

Alingga looked at the trees left as they passed, the small light from the car that split the wilderness, there was no intersection, there was only a winding road that swerved to find a safe path.

"Still far?" asked Zainal who was getting restless. He may remember a little when he was taken hostage by darkness, the memories that disturbed his heart, made him worry, could the same incident be repeated again. Now he was very careful, there was no place safe as long as he was still in the mortal world.

"Maybe, a little more. There should be a walkway on the left with some arrangement of stones!" juhri said, he pointed towards the side of the road, leading to a bush and some weeds.

"But we're not going through there!" juhri continued to complete the word he said.

"Why?" ask Zainal.

The word may not satisfy them, but it is better than doing nothing. Hope will always be there, accompanying the light to take over its place.

Juhri asked the driver to stop, parked his car on the side of the road. Juhri actually wanted to bring the car in, but the terrain was very unlikely. They were forced to go down, continue the journey on foot.

"We're getting off here?" Danu asked after they all got off.

"Yes, cars can't get past that tight tree! Remember, the distance to go is still one kilo more, Do not split!" said Juhri while pointing to the left side of the car overgrown with large trees and small trees that are tight.

"Mas, Dan! Just guard that box! I'm worried that only one person is guarding!" Alingga asks Danu to stay in the car, to make sure the box stays safe until they return. Danu agreed, he went back into the car, watching the three people who were getting away.

Juhri took the lead, slashing through the thickets to open the way. Their steps were welcomed warmly by the sound of insects at night, sahut said, expelling a little anxiety of the three people. Armed with a flashlight, everyone is on guard, pointing around, up, down, wherever the most vulnerable place for them is ambushed.

They were unaware of some banana trees that had started perching on top of the tree, shrouded in filthy shrouds, with maggots dripping down. There is no movement of the creature, just waiting for its prey off guard, then skin it alive.

Alingga felt the heat getting hotter, in the middle of the wind blowing breezy, he should not feel the air stuffy like this. He made sure to go back around him, highlighting the tall bushes, highlighting the path they had walked, but his eyes caught nothing strange.

He forgot about the trees, the most comfortable place for the creatures to hide.

The three of them stopped, hearing a thumping sound from behind. Alingga turned his head, looking once again, there was nothing, again they were toyed with, by the collection of pocongs, which were now lined up neatly, spreading a foul scent, from his blackish body.

Alingga, Zainal and Juhri remained silent, continuing on their journey. Fortunately Alingga did not take Sharif on this expedition, if so, maybe he should carry him as far as he stepped.

"Nga.. "

"Don't mind, they're just fighting!" said Alingga while encouraging Zainal to walk faster. The sound of jumping behind them grew increasingly disturbing, not to mention when the pocong kept on approaching.

They could not walk casually anymore, half run, through the thickets that no longer could Juhri slash. They ran, more and more pleased the pocongs who now laughed lightly. Alingga did not want to spend a lot of energy to serve the pocong pocong. There were still stronger beings who needed more of his strength. He did not want to waste it, preferring to run away, from the bullies who liked to jump it.

"Fuck! Look, I'm sending you all to hell!" sumpat Zainal while running around, he was out of breath, his energy was squeezed out, he almost gave up because it had been half an hour they still had not found also his destination.

"Where else? Look, we're lost!" zainal said in a high tone, he was upset and angry. They've been running for quite a while, that one kilo distance is why it's become doubled.

A lot has changed from Zainal, since he returned to his body, his nature is not as fresh as before. Now he is nervous, worried, and afraid to do something. Though he had never been like this before, his thinking had changed, after being tormented by darkness, his common sense was also slowly thinning.
