Alingga looked astonished, the wooden box in her hand was exactly like the box she had. Each fine stroke was extremely detailed, adorning the outer wall of the box.
"Open?" ask Alingga to the others. They were just as curious, giving him permission.
Alingga opened the box cover, in there the item they were looking for was clearly visible in plain sight. They are satisfied, at least a little of their efforts are paying off. Zainal got more excited, he approached the chest next to him. Without hesitation he opened the chest with the crowbar he carried. Others, too, with makeshift tools, they dismantled the cover that sealed the coffin.
"Wait!"
Juhri suddenly stopped their actions. He gave no reason why he acted that way, he simply asked everyone to remain silent while he looked around for something that was troubling him.
"You heard that!" juhri asked in a whisper.
"What?" tanya Danu who was at the very corner.
Everyone was silent, trying to hear in silence. Faint faintly heard the sound of friction of a hard object, coming from within this room. The pungent smell greatly disturbs their control of focus, their common sense is forced to guess who made the noise.
"What's that sound?" Everyone wore panicked expressions, not least Alingga. He thought, setting his breath uncontrollable.
"Speak finish!" alingga. Everyone is back to work soon. Inside the room were six coffins, each of which had one to open. Zainal easily opened all his pieces, while the others were still busy, he collected all the boxes he had.
Unfortunately, the rustling sound was still heard, getting louder, peppering their activities, and now they were sure, the sound came from one of the coffins that Juhri was taking care of.
Juhri stopped her actions, she retreated when she heard a voice from inside the coffin. They all looked at each other, quietly trying to find a solution that they might have. Alingga approached, approaching Juhri, kneeling right next to the coffin, clinging her ears to the sound-producing wall.
Once convinced, Alingga looked at his friend in turn, then nodded. None of them wanted to make a sound, nor did they want to deal with anything in the chest. Alingga left, collecting every box they got, taking her away from the damp basement.
"What do you think is in that box?" zainal asked as they walked along, carrying the box out of the warehouse.
Alingga looked up, "Don't think no! The devil will make that fear come true!"
They took him into the trunk of the car, stacking it up to several stacks. Alingga looked at the dark room, faintly faint she saw several black silhouettes lined up inside there. Simultaneously, he heard Danu's voice from inside half-screaming. It was not too clear what the two of them were talking about, the curious Alingga broke through the rows of black silhouettes and descended the hallway towards the lower room.
Alingga saw the two men unpacking the crate they had deliberately avoided. Alingga can not be angry, if so they, he will do the same to meet his curiosity.
"What's wrong?" ask Alingga while walking closer. He stopped when he saw the box that had opened. Alingga was surprised, she saw with her own eyes, someone she knew lying there dying of suffocation.
"Thank you!"
"It can still be saved, Come on!" Alingga tried to lift the body that he covered, his eyes were swollen, holding a circle of water that forced it to flow. The others did not respond, they stood up, unable to see the scene before him.
"Udah, Ngga! Enough, he can't be saved anymore." Zainal holds Alingga's shoulder. He knew very well his friends were very injured, one by one his closest people were forcibly snatched.
Alingga clenched her hands, she stood up, lunging towards Juhri to drop the floor. Juhri collapsed, Alingga rained him blows several times. Juhri's face was swollen, her lips were bleeding.
"You did it, right?" Alingga hit Juhri's face again.
"Jawab, motherfucker!"
Zainal broke them both, he pulled Alingga's body back. His face was flushed, his eyes still puffy.
"I didn't do it! I would've told you last night if he was here!" Juhri defended herself, wiping the blood from her lips. He deserved Alingga's punch anyway. So, he would not be angry even though Alingga tortured him again.
"Enough, Ngga! We'd better bury Mas Yanto's body soon, before it gets dark!"
Danu looked at the lifeless body of Mas Yanto. He was still curious, if Mas Yanto was lifeless, then what made the noise earlier?
Mas Yanto's body was still slightly warm, either because of the stuffy air inside the chest, or because he died not too long ago. Danu checked, flipping back and forth several times, hoping to find something that could answer the curiosity.
Besides Danu can't discuss this now, the atmosphere is not supportive. Looking at Alingga who was devastated, he also felt sadness from the look of his deep eyes.
Mas Yanto is not his family, even they have only known each other for a few days. But, Alingga felt he was his responsibility, he was also responsible when Mas Yanto was injured, when he had to feel failure again, his heart would really crumble.
Danu and Zainal lifted up Mas Yanto's body, taking him out of the warehouse. They prepared Mas Yanto's funeral, and it was finished when the sun sank.
Alingga approached Juhri who was sitting under a tree in front of the boarding house, in the bamboo chair Alingga sat with him. He felt a little guilty for his reckless actions just now, he apologized to Juhri for being immersed in emotions.
"I'm sorry, that was really out of control!" Alingga spoke while looking. They stared at the dark boarding house.
"I understand, just relax!" juhri reply. They were still staring at the dark building. Highlight their eyes involuntarily caught something watching from the second floor. The two looked at each other again confirming his sight. A black silhouette with long legs stood there, staring at the two with unsettling eyes.
The breeze blew, making their necks bristle, leaving behind fear as they looked at the figure that was now starting to approach. Alingga subconsciously said, "Nude!" so did Juhri who had a surprised expression.
They ran off the ridge, and Danu and Zainal were standing by the door of the car, and they entered without asking much. The driver immediately gasped, leaving the boarding hall. Unfortunately, the black creature did not want to give up, he climbed on the roof of the car. But, for some reason when their distance to the boarding house was far enough, the creature bounced, like hitting an invisible wall. it is possible that the creature could not leave the place until the person it was looking for was found.
