Gondo Flower
Chapter 26: The mysterious box

By noon the sun was shining, the stuffy air covered the city from the smoke of passing vehicles. The community began to move out of its comfort zone, training its arm and leg muscles, making it the foundation for survival.

The chirping of magpies is no longer heard like when in the forest, the smell of mud and wet grass is no longer smelled from the hustle and bustle of urban, urban, only high-rising industrial smoke contaminates the Earth's atmospheric layers.

Alingga and his entourage stood on the edge of the highway, they took shelter among the Ketapang trees from the scorching sun. Alingga lowered back the zainal from his back, he did not allow anyone to touch his best friend, especially the barrel for some reason now he hated it so much. However, Alingga is always mature, even though he does not like the barrel but he still has to be kind to the woman.

Syarif stared wistfully at Zainal, looking at the zainal condition that was like a lump of lifeless flesh, his tears slowly dripping down his cheeks and thin whiskers. Alingga who realized the gelagat Syarif immediately approached her, he as much as possible to calm his sidekick.

A short interval before a public transport passes through the line, the car stops right on the edge of the sidewalk. A middle-aged man poked his head out the window, the man offered them a ride to the terminal, Alingga did not think much and then agreed to the person's invitation.

During the trip they were all silent, the music from old-school radio delivered them in their respective minds, Silencing them in the airless car without refrigeration.

The car was still driving on the user's crowded streets, the sound of car horns echoing bouncing coats from the opposite side of the road, the car was turning in a wide courtyard where the city's transportation was in the middle of the middle of the road, a terminal that is not too wide but enough to accommodate 20 an average-sized car.

"Mas Syarif is already in the love that I entrusted?" Ask laras while whispering to Sharif next to him.

Sharif glanced towards the barrel, he thought for a moment what he meant by the woman. Sharif checked something in his pants pocket, he then gave the item to Alingga without speaking. Alingga was reluctant, but he was also curious, he opened slowly and then hurriedly saved his back, Alingga stared intently at the barrel expressionless but different from the barrel, Alingga, the woman smiled kindly welcoming Alingga's cold attitude.

"Where is Ali? Still want to continue or just get here?" Ask the barrel to Alingga. Alingga did not respond he just remained silent and then threw away his face.

"Why not barrel?" Tanya Sharif astonished.

"Ndak papa mas Syarif, soon we leave, ready to be ready first mas." The barrel diverts the conversation.

Fifteen minutes later they continued on, along the way many eyes were fixed on them, gazing at the zainal in Alingga's sling, or gazing at the unusually dressed barrel. They ignored the strange gaze and continued to continue their journey, until they arrived at a barrel intersection asking them to turn north.

"Bak barrel actually we go where the hell, my feet are still tired you mbak road kilometers last night."Grieved Sharif because he felt he could no longer.

"In a moment, get in the alley" replied the barrel casually.

They entered a spacious courtyard, a wooden house surrounded by large trees. Baras led the way to find the owner of this house, baras looked at a man who was old enough he was cleaning the weeds in the yard of the house.

"That's why..." Soft barrel greetings.

"This child, I told you not to interfere in the affairs of others" said the old man as he looked at Zainal.

"By knowing my friend Mbah?" ask Alingga.

"Some time ago you played play in the banyan tree, where it's a basket. Umpah mbah pesenin do not interfere with something that is not his business, yes this is what it will be." Obviously the old man while waiting to see the condition of zainal.

"Banyan tree? You mean the banyan tree behind that boarding house?" Alingga asked curiously, Mbah slamet just nodded without making a single sound.

"So how is my friend?" Ask Alingga again.

Mbah Slamet was silent he then went into his room, long Alingga waiting but Mbah Slamet still not out of the place.

Mbah slamet out of his room carrying a box wrapped in red cloth, the box he put on a bamboo table. Mbah slamet requested that zainal be laid on the ground, although Alingga was a little hesitant but he still obeyed the words mbah Slamet.

"Le.. Your conference iki sukmo ne keiket karo kemuning." (Son .. temen thou is his Sukma bound with kemuning.)Obviously mbah Slamet after zainal laid on the ground. Alingga was surprised by the explanation of Mbah Slamet, how could it happen, Alingga still could not believe it.

"Kotak iku enek nahan zinc nahan sukmo ne, but the risk of ne kemuning yo will be metu as well." (The box has items that hold the Sukma, but the risk will be missed too.) continued Slamet.

"Commissioned by the goods iki seko sopo Mbah?" (Who did this stuff come from?) ask Alingga again. Mbah Slamet was again silent, he was reluctant to answer Alingga's question, mbah Slamet asked Alingga to take a bucket of water from the well behind the slamet house.

"Le. lid lawang e."((Nak.. close the door.) pinta mbah Slamet to the sharif, syarif immediately closed the door according to the instructions of the slamet altar.

Alingga entered the house with a large bucket of water that he had taken, he placed the water right next to the Slamet altar. Mbah Slamet is still busy with the box in the red cloth, I don't know what he will do Alingga just hope zainal soon escape from death.

Mbah Slamet stood up he went back into his room, he was there not as long as before. After some time, Slamet brought a thick book with a brownish yellow cover, he gave the book to Alingga.

Alingga received the book given by Mbah Slamet with a little confusion, mbah Slamet asked Alingga to open the contents of the book with a brownish yellow cover. When the book was opened Alingga was increasingly confused because his writing was not known by Alingga, he did not understand the book using what language, Alingga did not understand it at all.

Mbah Slamet understood Alingga's confusion, then mbah Slamet helped Alingga to understand the contents of the book by grasping Alingga's wrist, when it was Alingga's eyes sparkling, and then, he can really understand everything.
