Gendis, Love on the Brink of Boundaries

Gendis, Love on the Brink of Boundaries
Another Female Figure

Gendis watched closely the atmosphere she rarely encountered. The road he was currently walking on was already paved. But coconut trees and other towering trees that grew tightly on the roadside made Gendis so amazed. There is even a reservoir that can be seen, where there are small boats containing people who appear to be fishing.

“Since someone slandered his father Bram until our lives were delayed. This village is what gives us the opportunity to breathe calmly.” The sound made Gendis stunned from her preoccupation with enjoying the suburban atmosphere.

“Yes, his father Bram used to serve on the board seat. But someone had slandered him until corruption charges left Mas Harun with a heart attack and we ended up having to move to a suburban village to start our new life." Ms. Harun told me with an empty view, as if she had again seen a lot of sadness in the past.

Gendis just stared at her pity-in-law without daring to ask, while Bram noticed the two women sitting behind him from the rearview of the car.

“Salah Mas Aaron, he was told anything just say yes until finally he is responsible for the mistakes made by others.” The woman who looked tough sighed to be able to unravel the tightness in her chest.

“Only your father believes in Mas Aaron, Nduk. Your father who tried to help Mas Aaron also had to accept a lot of terror and even death almost approached your father. But it was too late, when the process took place, Mas Aaron had already faced God first. Until the case just sank." Only the voice of Bu Aaron filled the calm in the car.

“Mom decided to go home with Bram. At that time, Bram almost dropped out of school but fortunately Mr. Hastanto came and helped us a lot so that Bram could become like this. I am very grateful to your papa, Nduk.” continued Ms. Aaron with teary eyes.

“Kata Papa, do not remember the good we have done, fearing we will forget the bad that maybe much more we do.” said Gendis remembered every sentence his father who once impressed him indifferent.

Ma aaron smiled at Gendis. Although Gendis still seems childish but she is sure her heart is very noble like her papa.

“Now we have arrived.” said Bram ended his second conversation by turning the car he drove stopped on the page of a house that is quite spacious.

Old-looking joglo houses are their goal. Already several times Bram wanted to renovate the ancient house, but Ms. Aaron refused. He did not want to change the historic building, where he and Bram grew up with the rigors of life.

“Mother's house is not good, so Bram will make your house like your dream.” said Bu Aaron made Gendis swallow his saliva violently.

His marriage to the man who looked at him sharply was not like the marriage of other couples. This time he felt guilty for the old woman who had believed him.

The sun is shining so brightly. Ms. Aaron got into the house first after getting out of the car. Meanwhile, Gendis intends to take some of her luggage that she will bring in.

"Just enter, let Mas will bring his suitcase inside!" bram said with his wife's hand held. He could feel the white skin so smooth.

Gendis looked at Bram who was now also looking at her, why was her heart pounding like this. Gendis felt himself lacking oxygen and water supply until his heart pounded irregularly.

“Your face has been flushed, surely you are not used to being exposed to the heat of the sun." said Bram. When I saw the white face it changed color.

“Well I go in first, Mas. ” said Gendis then ran away from the blazing sunburn during the day. Almost twelve o'clock they just arrived at Bu Aaron's house.

“Oh, this is Mbak Gendis.” said a young man who had chatted with his in-laws. The young man's gaze was filled with searching.

“It's Mbak Bendis. Mas Bram's wife.” replied Bu Aaron when introducing Gendis to the son of his neighbor who had been considered his nephew. Gendis only smiled at the young man her age. Without much stale.

“ Alright bude, let Radit tell you later, if bude wants to meet.” said the young man then left Gendis and Bu Aaron.

Bu Aaron immediately introduced the state of the house he had lived in for a long time to his son-in-law. The position of the bathroom outside especially the back of the house makes Gendis can not imagine if the middle instead he peed.

"Dii in Bram's room there's his bathroom, Nduk. So you don't have to worry. ” said Bu Harun while inviting Gendis to come back in.

Gendis only smiled stiffly as if she could already read his mind. It turns out that in-laws are not as bad as what many people say. In fact, several times Bu Aaron understood his position very well.

“Assalamulaikum..” says a woman walks in with a tray. The woman seemed to have been accustomed to enter the large joglo-shaped house.

“ Walaikum greetings..” Although late, Gendis still had time to answer greetings from women who wore a long negligee combined with an instant hijab.

“ The order is Mas Bram, Bude.” said the woman in her fifties, the owner of a food stall near Bu Harun's house. Almost all neighbors call Ms. Aaron as 'Bude' because it is poured around the house.

“ Oh yes, Ma'am Menik. Just put it on the table. “ said Bu Aaron.

“Include this son-in-law Bude, his name is Hendis,” continued Bu Harun introduced Gendis who has since been lyricized by Mbak Menik.

“Ohhhh, very pretty. I think that high as the model was the candidate Mas Bram.” Mbak Menik chirps to make the atmosphere instantly comfortable.

It felt really sorry that the middle-aged woman said everything. Gendis just smiled. Somehow she felt something was covered up about Bram from her.

“Sorry Ma'am Gendis I returned first. While no one is guarding the stall." said Mbak Menik after latitude, even the woman was like running away from responsibility with what he just said.

“Gendis rest first, yes Bu.” said Gendis who only answered a smile by Bu Aaron. The woman who started to feel the change from her daughter-in-law's face let Gendis rest.

Gendis also passed by, she was not jealous of the figure said by the woman, but she was only a little thought and curious about the story of the female figure associated with her husband. What kind of relationship the two, until Bram did not discuss it at all.
