Bram opened the car door for Gendis, when they were already in the basement of the apartment. This is Bram's way of making peace with the girl who is still reluctant to talk. In fact, several times Bram got an indifferent attitude from Gendis.

"Why not, we're husband and wife?" Bram again clarified their status making Gendis only smile mockingly. He knows that this is not the truth.

"Fake." muttered Gendis who was still heard by Bram. The girl immediately sat her weight on the sofa.
