I'll Always Chase You

"Until when are you gonna run away from me?" He asked with eyes full of wounds.

"Kai?"

Alula was still trying to master her shock seeing Kai now in front of her eyes. For a long time, they stood against each other. Kai looked at his wife with great longing, while Alula looked at her husband with a look full of disappointment.

"Darling?" Kai walked closer towards Alula.

Alula retreated her steps as Kai's hand tried to reach her body.

"Would you come here?" Alula said with a cold tone and face.

Her heart ached when she saw her husband. Alula recalls where Kai did not trust her and said he would divorce her.

"I'm here to pick you up. I-i'm sorry! I'm sorry I misunderstood you!" Kai's still trying to touch Alula's hand.

"Nintengnya you apologize to me. I don't need an apology from you. Go then! Get out of front of me!"

Quickly, Kai hugged Alula.

"Take me off!" Alula screamed and cried as Kai hugged her body.

Kai did not let go of his embrace. While Alula continued to rebel in her husband's arms.

"I don't want to be with you anymore!!" Alula cries and continues to rebel in order for Kai to let go.

"Let's talk about this in our house!" Kai releases his embrace and pulls Alula's hand out of the house, intending to put her in the car.

"I don't want to" Alula's cry grew.

"What's this?" Ask Grandpa and Grandma Alula who just got home.

"What do you want my granddaughter to do?" Anne, Alula's grandmother released Kai's hand which was holding her grandson's wrist.

"Who are you, huh?" Anne then went inside the house and came back outside with a wooden stick.

"You want to beat up my granddaughter when we're not around?" Anne slapped the stick into Kai's body.

"Aw aw sick, Grandma!" Kai tries to escape Anne's baton.

"How dare you touch my grandson!!" Anne kept beating Kai's body with the stick.

Meanwhile, Alula and Charlie were just watching the scene before him.

"It seems I've seen the boy. But where is it?" Charlie, Alula's grandfather is trying to remember.

Charlie and his wife forgot Kai's face, as they only met at Alula's wedding, but only got a glimpse of the many invited guests who filled the castle.

"Al, isn't he your husband?" Charlie finally asked after watching Kai's face closely.

Alula simply fell silent and wiped her tears.

"Yes, it's me cake. I'm Alula's husband" said Kai, still evading Anne's grandmother's baton.

"What's? You're my grandson's husband?" Anne stopped beating Kai with her wand.

"No. He's not my husband" Alula replied quickly.

"You don't acknowledge your own husband?" Kai is disappointed when Alula doesn't want to admit it.

"Ah, grandma remembers now. You're really Grandma's granddaughter's husband. I'm sorry you hit you?" Anne rubbed Kai's coat a little dirty because of the stick. He used the cane to go to the garden during the rainy season to help him walk on the muddy ground.

"Excuse him, Grandma!" Alula's word to Anne.

Kai walked back to Alula. Alula ran straight behind Charlie's body.

"Don't let this guy get close to me, cake! Dismiss him!" Alula told Charlie.

"Why are you? If there's a problem talk about it!" Answer Charlie.

"Let's talk to your husband!" Anne persuades Alula.

"I'm not talking to him!" Alula immediately ran into the house and climbed up the stairs, then immediately entered her room. He locks the door fearing Kai will force him to go home.

"Then you came here and asked me to come home. You don't know how the wound in my heart was because of your treatment" Alula leaned her body against the door and cried back. His brain reflexively turned back everything Kai said and accused him of what happened to William.

"Kai, Alula doesn't want to see you. Go home first! Grandfather will try to talk to him later," Charlie patted Kai slowly on the shoulder.

"Yes. You go home first!" Anne agrees for Kai to come home first.

"I wouldn't have gone home if I wasn't with Alula" Kai refused firmly.

"Don't go home, just talk to you she won't" Charlie said.

"If you want Alula to come home with you, never force her! Push him gently! Alula has always disliked coercion" Anne explained.

Kai was silent too. He indeed had to use gentleness to deal with Alula. If Kai uses coercion, Alula will get further away from him.

"alright. Then Kai goes home first now" Kai says goodbye to Charlie and Anne. Kai must give Alula time.

"Observe your heart on the road!" Charlie and Anne.

Kai got into his car and left his wife's grandparents' house. At least now Kai knows where Alula is. Charlie and Anne soon enter their home.

"Al, come out, boy! Your husband's home!" Anne knocked on Alula's door.

"I'm in the room, Grandma" Alula replied in a hoarse voice. Alula was crying. Kai's presence ravaged his heart which he had been well-ordered for two weeks.

Next Day.

"Al, our food supply is running low. Can you go to the super market? Grandma and grandpa should go to the garden now" Anne asked Alula, who was having breakfast.

"Super market in the north?"

"Yes, honey. Can you?"

"Can, Grandma. Alula will buy our needs in the super market" Alula agreed.

"alright. Then grandma and grandpa go first to the garden. After you shop, lock the door! Grandpa and grandma are worried that there's a bad guy" Anne told Alula.

"Yes. Alula locks the door."

Finished with her morning breakfast, Alula immediately got ready to go to the super market. Not to forget, Alula locked the door first before leaving. Alula prefers to walk to reach the super market not far from her grandmother's house.

As Alula walked, someone blocked her path.

"I want to talk to you!" Said Kai who was now staring at Alula's face.

"Aren't you home yet?" Alula's face turned to panic.

"I stayed at a hotel in the city. Let's talk!"

"I don't want to!" Alula walked back and passed through her husband's body.

"I want to talk to you. Just for a moment," Kai clasped Alula's wrist.

"I told you I didn't want to" Alula slammed Kai's arm rough. But the hand still held his hand tightly.

"I won't let go of your hand before we speak."

Alula seemed to think.

"alright. Don't dawdle!"

Kai smiled and immediately let go of his hand. They are now on a bridge under which is the Foss River.

"I want to apologize for everything that happened. I'm sorry for accusing you of hurting Daddy!" said Kai. Now Kai and Alula are standing side by side on the bridge and facing the Foss River.

"What are you apologizing for?" Alula smiled bitterly.

"You have doubted me very often. If only Arabella hadn't been caught hurting your father, I'm sure you would still be accusing me to this point" Alula noticed the river running under the bridge.

"I don't doubt you. Just think, who wouldn't believe that there's such strong evidence."

"Whatever the evidence is, if you believe me you won't doubt me" Alula said.

"It's not the first time. You used to accuse me of doing something bad with Cleon in the apartment. And you only believed it after you fucked me."

"Al?" Kai looked at Alula's face with a very guilty feeling.

"You know what, Kai? It hurts so much when we don't get the trust of the people we live with. What would a marriage mean if you couldn't trust your own partner?" Alula stared at her husband's face.

"Then, what was your purpose in coming here?" Alula.

"I want to build our home from scratch. From 0 back," Kai flips Alula's body facing her. Now they are facing each other at close range.

"And if in the future there is a storm in our household, do you doubt me?" Alula looked at the brown eyes that were in front of her.

"Why did you ask me to come back to you? Aren't you satisfied with my body?" Alula's lips trembled as she brought up Kai's hurtful words to her.

"Al, I didn't mean to. At that time I was emotional because you were leaving with another man" Kai held onto Alula's shoulder.

"And every time you get emotional, you try to hurt me?" Alula took Kai's hand off his shoulder.

"You said you wanted a divorce with me. Where did you promise when you said you would never divorce me? You always said to death that you would never divorce me. Where's evidence?" Alula's face was still staring at Kai who had a high posture.

"That's because I saw Daddy was wretched. I can't think rationally, '" Kai rubbed his face in frustration.

"No. You don't think rationally, but in reality you never trust me as your wife. And it's so funny, you told me to leave you. You told me not to show my face back in front of you, but instead now you're the one looking for the woman you call a secondhand!" Alula said without pause and with her chest rising and falling held back anger.

"Dear calm!" Kai tries to calm Alula who already looks very emotional.

"Never call me baby again! I'm so disgusted to hear it!!" Alula said furiously.

"Darling?" Kai called back Alula softly.

"Mr Kaivan Allen, don't you have ears? I said don't call me that again!!" Alula growled in annoyance.

Kai felt a pain running through his heart when he heard his wife calling his full name so emotionally. Alula turned her body to leave Kai. Alula walked quickly away from the bridge. Kai ran after her.

"Please don't be like this!" Kai held Alula's hand.

Alula turned her body back.

"What do you want?" Alula looked at her husband.

"I just want to be with you. Don't be selfish! You're pregnant with my son now" Kai said softly.

Alula gasped when she heard Kai.

"Do you know?"

Kai nodded his head.

"Think of our son! She needs me when she's born into the world" Kai's eyes glazed over.

"He didn't need his father who never gave his mother trust. I can take care of and raise this child on my own without you. I want us to just separate," Alula cried as she pleased.

"YOUTURAYA!!" Kai shouted.

"What's? You think I'm afraid of you?" Alula looked at Kai with a defiant face. The tears now filled his face.

"Let's get this household back! Let's raise the boy together!" Kai lowered his voice.

"If I don't want to?"

Kai squirms in front of Alula. He took something out of his pocket. It was Alula's wedding ring. Kai takes Alula's hand, he tries to put the ring back on her.

As the ring was about to ring Kai, Alula immediately clenched her arm so that the ring could not be ringed on her finger.

Alula takes the ring from Kai's hand and throws it at the got next to her.

"I can't. I can't go back home with you. Forget me! Go home to Birmingham and take care of our divorce!" Alula immediately left and ran a little leaving Kai who was still calm.

Kai immediately stood up and took off his shoes. He went down to the cave to find his wife's ring. Kai palpated every corner of the got to find his wife's ring.

"I finally found this ring" a tear fell from his eye.

Kai immediately climbed back up from the got with a dirty body.

"Al, I'll never stop. I will keep trying to get you back. Like I said, you can never run from my grasp. I'll always chase you wherever you go" Kai put the ring back in his pocket.
