For Yumna

For Yumna
Brother and Sister-in-law

"Yes. Just because of Yumna."

Kevin took a deep breath. Disillusioned.

"Well," he said, walking to the balcony door, opening it and standing there.

Naya was astonished by Kevin's question earlier, she did not understand the meaning of the question at all.

While Kevin seemed to be contemplating alone, trying to dampen the sense that disturbed his mind as well as his heart.

"I'll leave tomorrow" said Naya, who was standing next to him.

"Tomorrow I'll find a new rented house. If I've found it, I'll give you the address right away, so if Yumna wants to see me, you can take her there."

"Nay. Listen to me!" Kevin tried to stop his wife's chatter.

"Stop calling me Nay, we're not that close." Naya feels uncomfortable.

Kevin chuckles.

"What is the closer relationship between husband and wife?"

"Why are you reminding us of our marital status lately?"

"Because the truth is you are my wife and I am your husband."

"Indeed right. But did you forget that our wedding was just a formality?"

"Marriage formalities must also be terminated immediately. Your parents would be upset if they knew you hadn't taken care of our divorce" Naya said, glancing at Kevin.

Kevin was stunned to hear the word for word that Naya had spoken to him. There is nothing wrong, what Naya said is true, even she herself who named their marriage is a marriage formality. So don't expect Naya to stay by her side just because of their marriage. Like the answer was, it was all just because of Yumna.

"Regarding Yumna, what you said earlier this afternoon is true. Leaving her suddenly would only make her suffer greatly."

"Therefore I must slowly do it."

"Slowly reducing the intensity of the meeting to a long time later Yumna will get used to living without me by her side" said Naya at length with a blank look forward.

"Then after that, what will you do?"

"I don't know." Naya's voice sounded weak.

"I've been planning my life ahead with Yumna. Now when Yumna is no longer by my side, I feel like I'm losing my way."

"I feel like I have no purpose in life, I'm confused about what to do. Starting from where and what it looks like," he said again still with his empty gaze,

Kevin glanced at Naya who was like she was holding back her cries.

"If you want, we can still take advantage of our marriage, and keep Yumna by your side."

"What do you mean?" Naya surprised.

"By the law Yumna is our son, in the act written our name as his parents, so legally we are more entitled to it."

"We can take Yumna easily from the woman. Through court proceedings."

"But Kayla's her real mother." Naya shook her head.

"But the woman has abandoned her own child by leaving it to you since she was a baby."

"Originally you have proof that if Kayla leaves her son to you, then we will win. Especially if plus Yumna prefers to stay with us."

Naya thought hard.

"No. I can't do that. However Kayla is her birth mother, she has the right to live with her daughter, and vice versa, Yumna has the right to feel the affection of her birth mother."

"Also if we keep doing that, it means we can't split up, we can't get divorced, right?"

"Yes and you're so desperate to get a divorce from me." Kevin smiled at his snide smile.

"of course. We can't stay tied to this fake marriage. Want to get to when? I'm sure if you have dreams of the future, marry someone you love and have children."

"of course. I have a lover and want to marry her" she replied, thinking of Claudia.

"Because it's quick to end this marriage." Naya saw Kevin.

Both silent.

"You too, do you have a boyfriend who wants to marry you?"

Naya smiled.

"I don't have a boyfriend. No man wants a woman with one child."

Kevin immediately saw Naya who was still smiling.

"That guy yesterday?"

"Who? Aziz? He's just my friend. Our relationship is nothing more than a friendship."

"Don't be naive. You know if he likes you." Kevin smiled a little.

Naya did not answer. He glanced at Kevin next to him.

"You yourself? I hope your boyfriend doesn't know if you married me."

"He knows" Kevin replied quickly.

"Is he angry?" Naya surprised.

"No. He understands why we should get married."

"But she must have been hurt, don't let her down again, hurry up and take care of our divorce and marry her."

Kevin fell silent.

"It's late, you better go home." Naya walked away from Kevin.

Claudia's arrival was warmly welcomed by Yanti, with a face she invited her son's girlfriend to come inside.

"Sorry Auntie, I've been here so early in the morning. Before going abroad I want to meet Kevin."

"It's okay. Auntie's happy to see you here, we haven't seen each other in a long time. Have you had breakfast? If we don't, let's have breakfast yet." Yanti leads Claudia to the dining table.

They reached the dining table. But then Claudia was shocked to see someone she knew was there.

Kayla was no less surprised. His face was pale looking at Claudia standing before him.

The two were speechless, until Kevin came and approached his lover.

"Are you going to Singapore?"

"D-yes." Claudia stuttered as she was still shocked to see Kayla.

"Sit. Come have breakfast with us."

Claudia sat down next to Kevin. Still seeing Kayla in disbelief.

A few moments later.

"Who's Aunt's father is?" Yumna pointed at Claudia who was chatting with her grandmother.

"Oh. He's a friend of daddy's darling."

"Dad. I don't like daddy being friends with a girl other than mom." Yumna was angry.

Kevin just smiled.

Meanwhile.

"What Aunt? She's Yumna's real mother?"

"Yes. Didn't Kevin tell you that the woman he had to marry yesterday wasn't Yumna's real mother?"

"She told Auntie, but..." Claudia could not continue her words because Kayla was walking towards them.

Yanti then introduces the two.

"You guys talk first, Auntie wants to see Yumna for a second."

Now only Claudia and Kayla stand facing each other.

Claudia looked at Kayla cynically.

"Is he really your son or is he just your design so you can get into this family?"

"It's a pity that because Yumna is my biological child, the only grandchild of this family is a child born from my womb." Kayla laughed arrogantly.

"really? I hope they don't kick you out if they know who you really are." Claudia smiled cynically.

"You won't say anything to them because I will also unlock your sister's secrets" Kayla whispered with a sly smile.

"I'm sure Kevin won't marry the brother of the man who killed his brother."

Claudia was shocked.

"Thank you if fate reunites us as brother and sister-in-law" Kayla whispered with a cynical smile.
