For Yumna

For Yumna
Not Going to Go

"Dad. Where's mommy?"

Kevin who was driving was shocked to find Yumna who had woken up from her sleep. Rubbing her eyes Yumna seemed to be rolling her eyes around.

"Where's mom?" Yumna asked again this time while looking at Kevin's face.

"Mother's home, baby, she's not coming with us."

The look on Yumna's face turned sad.

"Yumna wants to be in that house too, why did you bring Yumna?" Yumna started whining.

Kevin immediately pulled over his car, looking at Yumna while holding his hand.

"Yumna. Listen dad. Yumna understood if for a while Yumna and mother could not stay together first?"

Yumna did not answer.

"We adults are having problems that we can't tell our children. But said mother, Yumna a smart and obedient child. Aren't you?"

Yumna.

"Well. Because Yumna is a smart and obedient child, Yumna will temporarily stay away from her mother, after our problems are over we will gather again."

"Dad. What's the problem?"

"A problem that children like Yumna cannot understand. Yumna understands right?"

Yumna nodded doubtfully.

"So for a while. Let's just say if we're playing hide-and-seek. Where you're hiding in that house and Yumna's in Grandpa's house. We will meet again tomorrow with Mom. How's it?"

"Until when's dad's game of hide-and-seek?"

Kevin swallowed. He himself did not even know until when this state of affairs would end.

"Until our adult problems are over."

"Is it long?"

"Hopefully not, dear."

Yumna.

"One more. At the house of grandparents later, Yumna do not say if all day yumna with mother ya."

"Why?"

"Because you're hiding, grandparents can't know."

Yumna nodded quickly.

"Smart kid. Now Yumna understands, right?"

"Yes dad. Yumna understood now. But tomorrow we meet again with mom, right dad?"

Kevin fell silent.

"Yes, father. Tomorrow Yumna can see you again with mom, right dad?" Yumna repeated her question.

"Yes. But tomorrow Yumna has to go to school first. Only then will we meet with mother."

Yumna smile.

Kevin breathed a sigh of relief. He was grateful that Yumna was a smart child who could easily be given understanding.

He returned his vehicle again. Gotta drop Yumna off immediately and head back to the office.

Meanwhile.

Naya was sitting on the edge of the bed, in front of her was a suitcase that she was ready to take away, but Kevin's words to her were still ringing in her ear.

"Not just tomorrow. Tomorrow again and again don't bring him back to see me."

"So you're going to hurt her like they did?" Kevin looked at Naya sharply.

"When other people don't care about their feelings, their suffering, Yumna understands because for her they are strangers who have just come into her life. But you?"

"You know for sure that in his world there is only you. You are everything to Yumna. You know he wouldn't be okay without you. But you still want to leave him?" Kevin shook his head in disbelief.

Naya just sobbed listening to Kevin say.

"Go away. I won't ban you anymore!"

Naya covered her face remembering all those words.

Cahyo sat her granddaughter on her lap.

"Say. What did Grandpa's granddaughter do in school?" he asked while kissing his grandson.

"Grandfather. Yumna change school clothes first." Yumna inched down from her grandfather's lap then ran towards the room, followed by Kayla behind her.

Yanti who was smiling sumringah looked at her husband.

"See. Our granddaughter seems to have forgotten that woman."

Cahyo also looked pleased, she nodded her head.

While Kayla in Yumna's room could only be stunned, seeing how her daughter deftly changed clothes and put on her own clothes.

"Honey. Let mama help." Kayla will help Yumna button her clothes.

Yumna moved away from her mother.

Yumna seemed to be indifferent to Kayla who continued to be beside her.

"Honey. May I talk to you for a minute."

Yumna did not answer, she just sat down at the study table and opened her writing.

Kayla seems to have exhausted her patience. He gritted his teeth in annoyance while looking at Yumna who remained indifferent to him.

But then he changed his face again when he heard the sound of the door opening, Yanti came to take her grandson to lunch together.

At the dining table.

Yanti and her husband kept smiling happily to see Yumna eating her voraciously.

"Smart granddaughter eats it." Cahyo clapped her own hands.

Yumna did not respond, she kept eating with her eyes focused on the plate.

They were happy to think that Yumna could accept Naya's departure. Although not yet fully, they are sure if a little more Yumna his favorite grandson will return as usual.

While Yumna was actually doing all of this by force, she had promised her mother not to cry anymore asking her, obeying her grandparents and the woman whose mother said it was her too.

"Yumna promised to be nice to all of them?" Naya gave her little finger.

"But Yumna doesn't like them, they're all bad for you."

"Don't be so dear. They are also Yumna's family, they all love Yumna very much."

Yumna.

"Promise?" Naya again showed her little finger.

Naya nodded forcefully while linking the little fingers of the two of them.

Nightfall.

Kevin was standing at the door of his apartment. I was hesitant to go in there.

She fears that she will never find Naya there again, after their final conversation ends if she allows Naya to leave if that is her wish.

Kevin could not help his curiosity, whether Naya had really left as she wished or was still there to hold on for her daughter. He finally opened the door in front of him.

Door opens. The dark atmosphere greeted him.

His steps were heavy looking at the dark atmosphere before him. He then believes that Naya has indeed left there.

Kevin sighed, not intending to turn on the lights, he walked in the darkness towards the sofa, throwing his tired body there.

Suddenly the sound of the door opening. Kevin stood up to see Naya come out and walked up to her.

"What's going on here at night?"

Instead of answering, Kevin smiled happily seeing Naya in front of him, not leaving as he expected.

The two stood facing each other in the midst of darkness, only illuminated by the moonlight that infiltrated through the large glass window.

"I thought you were gone" said Kevin slowly.

"I'm not leaving."

"Why?"

"Because Yumna needs me."

"Just because of Yumna?"

Naya stunned.

"Jawab I nay, is it only because of Yumna?"

Naya surprised. This time Kevin called his name.
