The roar of wind greeted Chrysant who stood at the pier of Alexandria. In front of my eyes, a stretch of black clouds had rolled around like a typhoon, waiting to devour my body. There was not a single witch standing on that dock other than myself and my magic equipment.
Carefully, I tightened the google and the mask, making sure they were both air tight so that the Superadical Snow would not get into it.
“Activate Shield,” gumaku.
The magic circuit was lit up and followed the Black Company's magic armor that covered every inch of my body. The bionic uniform is the Black Company's latest invention that provides maximum protection for hunters as well as much-needed speed during hunting. Because of this technology, my job has become easier.
But, before I jumped into the plunge, I felt the presence of someone behind me.
“U-umm, you need more from me, Liam?” chrysant asked confusedly.
Liam laughed as he continued to tighten his thick coat, “Should I need something from you, when wanting to let you go?” ask the Prince.
Hmm, William's weird. Although I have been friends with Liam since the Magic Academy, I still do not understand the way the Prince thought. Like smog, the man always hides his intentions behind a smile and soft speech. But on the other hand he shows surprise with sweetness that melts the heart.
“Hah, I am honored to be ushered away by the Prince,” Chrysant's great-grandson while stretching my body and warming up.
“I just want to make sure my toys leave safely,” taunted Liam.
U-Ugh... So, Chrysant is just a toy to this Prince? B-How dare! Potatoes of holy blood flowed in his veins, could be as delicious as the Prince.
“This is just a warning from a friend. If by chance you meet again with the Red-robed Witch in your report, run away immediately,” remembers Liam who then turned away.
“Why?” my many.
Liam snorted, “The magician was a nightmare,” he replied which then waved and parted with me.
I wanted to catch up with Liam and prevent him from leaving because of the curiosity that tormented his heart. But, along with the loss of the roar of the wind, time hunted down Chrysant. Nagi had arrived, a moment where the super-adical snow suddenly calmed down and did not ripple. The perfect moment for hunters to plunge into the Underworld.
“Iih, Prince of that one. Always make dizzy,” my grunts ruffled waist.
However, if Prince Liam were to warn me directly it would mean that the message was serious. The Red-robed Witch, Khanza?
“OK. The sky is perfectly calm,” my murmur who knelt down and took a swing, “Enhance Endurance. Enhance Speeds. The Extreme Enhance Speed. True Speed's. Lighting Strike,” my tongue invokes body-strengthening magic.
In one long breath, Chrysant immediately ran very fast to the end of the Pier. Jumping away from the thick rumble of dust, I plunged down like a bullet through the darkness. So fast that the wind has become a dagger that scratches my magic shield.
“Black Company, give me your wind wings. Allow this mortal man to rule the heavens. Seraphim Grace!” I shouted for a moment after breaking through the last layer of clouds.
Three pairs of magic wings were stringing themselves on my back. They are my vehicles through the skies of darkness.Different from Alexandria, darkness rules the land. Not a single point of light rose in that black expanse. The flashes of the sky became my lighting avoiding the high mountain. There were no shining stars and no compasses working at all, just a magic map in *M**icrochip* embedded in my brain to be my guide.
“Technology makes life easier.. but sometimes serem also yes,” my murmur which remembers this microchip installation procedure which... uh, just makes my hair goosebumps.
Behind this sea of darkness was a row of rows of red eyes staring at the witches who were plunging from his Imperial Citadel. The spies were from Malice who had been impatiently devouring them.
After half a day of ripping through the sky at high speed, Chrysant stopped and opened the map by touching my right ear.
“Seven kilometers from Koyanska lake, six kilometers from Olympus mons. It's still seven days walk to Junon, but the airport is quite decent for landing,” I said doodling the magic map and determine where to land.
Starfall Airport.
My landing site is the ruins of an airport that is said to have been used by previous civilizations to traverse space. Coincidentally the place was also used by Nadja's expedition team to return to Alexandria. Because of its strategic location there should be many hunters and knights guarding there.
However, not a single magic light was lit at the airport. A bad feeling immediately ambushed me. Chrysant held onto the necklace Brother gave him tightly. Perhaps, the airport is now a hotbed of Malice.
A few moments later, I circled the airport three times. But strangely, none of Malice I felt.
“Suspicious,” Chrysant murmur.
Alertly, I landed and immediately pulled out my two blades. My eyes immediately looked around suspiciously and my ears were ready to catch the slightest sound.
Leaving my body towards the noise. But there was no Malice there. If not mistaken, the sound came from that empty hangar. Is it just wind? Or maybe.. a Malice that lurks her? I slowly approached the hangar.
The closer, the clearer the commotion sounded in my ear. And in the midst of the symphony of chaos, a hoarse voice that was rummaging through the goods inside the Hangar.
“No, no, no!” said.
Peering behind the gate, Chrysant found the Red-robed Witch frantically unpacking the plane's trunk. How come the Witch is here? It's right again after Liam warned me.
Ugh, did you just run away? But the witch didn't seem like a nightmare like Liam said. I got dizzy, how good?
Suddenly, the Red-robed Witch bent her knees and nearly fainted.
“Food....food... where can I get it? If this is the way.” asked the Witch in a hoarse voice.
From the mask's eye line, the Witch's red eyes met mine. Jolted shocked himself to nudge the pile of luggage that immediately fell in succession hit his head. But, a moment later, his head was nongolous among the sea of baggage.
“Dudududahh, my head,” he said who stroked his head dear, “Kamu... Chrysant if it's not wrong right?” he continued the Witch.
“U-uuhh, no. Looks like you got the wrong person,” muttered Chrysant nervously. A cold sweat poured down my forehead, the trunk that buried the witch's body looked heavy once but the Red-robed Witch looked fine!
And again...how could that red-robed witch recognize me?
Like a spider, the Red-robed Witch crept with lightning speed near me.
“Hiiii!!” pekikku scared. By the gods, w-what the fuck is this one witch? So horrified!
“You can't lie to me! Khanza remembered those pretty eyes. You, you, you Chrysant. Hahahah, how can we meet again?” said the Witch who reached my hand,
“Aaahh, indeed fate has always been on my side. I-I've forgotten how to eat heheh even amkanan I forgot! C-Chrysant, you have food, right? Kan, right, right?!”
“H-Hey, let me go,” Chrysant's pinta rejected that hand, but for the gods' sake, how strong the witch's grip!
The Witch shakes Chrysant's hand, “B-is not a human proverb that says, eyes are paid for eyes. Goodness paid for good? I've saved you. Your turn! Where is your food, give it all to meuuu!” force the Witch.
BUKS!
Upset and panicked, I stabbed the head of the red-robed witch. But who would have thought, the story was too strong to make the Witch helpless.
“O-Oi, you don't papa?” I asked but there was no answer he received.
Guilt also appeared in his chest. That's right the witch said, Chrysant owed him a favor. How could he even reply to her like this? But, the way he asked for it! Just make me creep. It was like being pulled by a zombie in the movie that Chrysant watched with Sera.
Groooooowll!
The sound of the Witch's stomach echoed in the hangar. Chrysant shook his head and rattled his waist.
“Duh, it turns hungry to. Say dong from earlier, Chrysant thought you were a bandit knows,” grumbled Chrysant.
Seeing the Witch lying helplessly before me, an idea flashed through Chrysant's mind. Who is behind the skull mask? Curious, I knelt down and slowly opened the mask. Chrysant's heart rate was racing, until it covered the sound in his ears. When the fingers touched the mask of the Witch's skull, I gulped.
N-no, no, no, no! W-If this is the way, Chrysant looks like a perverted hunter who uses fainting people in front of him. How disgusting! I could have revealed the witch's secret when she was helpless like this.
I patted my cheek hard regretting my actions.
I took a long breath and pulled out the silver ring on my index finger and threw it into the air, “Black Company, the ruler of space and time. Give us the key to the infinite space in the world. Item Box,” my kid.
From the ring came a boundless vortex of darkness. Chrysant put his hands into it and took camping equipment and various foodstuffs. Don't forget the two blankets for me and the witch.
I laughed emptyly, “Sorry Liam, but you warned me... Chrysant even helped the witch,” muttered me.
