For You This World I'll Destroy
Melodic Noctis (6)

“Why?”

There's only one response Mutter gave me, when you told me about my meeting with Ma Dame Krista. In his messy office, Mutter busied himself reading the newspaper without even looking at me. My heart, I want to run away from this place immediately because I do not dare to face the disappointment of Mutter.

But I can't tell her about the Lantern Flower either.

“M-Ma Dame Krista advised me to be careful.. Because if the Noctis Family grows too strong, then many people will try to-“.

“That's not what my question means,” cut Mutter cross my legs and click my tongue, “Why did you report all this to me, if now everything is no longer related to the Noctis Family?”

... W-Wait a minute, that's what Mutter is concerned about?

“That you yourself chose to accept the agreement in your own name. I'm not interested in anything unrelated to the Noctis family. All this now is your problem, solve it alone, Moon,” said Mutter who then stood up and looked at his watch,

“There's more you want to say?” mutter continued as he walked closer to me.

“... No, Mutter,” I replied to him who had walked past me. As we passed by, I could hear Mutter regretfully sighing in disappointment. It was as if his time had been wasted on unimportant things.

The door closed, and I clenched my hand. And just last night, Mutter accompanied me to invent the drug. The little hope that grew in my heart, now oppressed again without remaining.

A question whispered in my ear, What have I done that I do not deserve the affection of my own mother? Was it just because we were bloodless that he treated me like meaningless dust? If so...why didn't you kick me out of this house from the beginning?!

The medicine vial in my hand broke, spitting out a lot of blood from my finger that was slashed by the shard. The wound quickly disappeared without leaving a mark. But the pain that tore my heart apart, became more and more so.

“What should I do to get Mutter to see me?” muttered.

Flowing with my hand that was now limp by despair, I thought back to my goal.If this medicine worked, then Quina could reunite with her family… if I succeed in realizing this cure, then the world will know.. That I'm not just an illegitimate child who's a parasite in the Noctis family. That I. deserve my name.

And maybe. If this drug gets disseminated, Mutter will finally see me.

“Hahahaha..!”

I don't know when I started laughing when my heart hurt.but since I did, even for a moment, the pain subsided. It was replaced by the whir of adrenaline that made my heart beat fast. Every laugh I let go of in this world, as well as a fragment of myself, disappeared. Just like my shadow is no longer able to defend itself as a human being.

My mind became clear, and I could see the solution to my problem clearly.

“From her scent, Quina didn't have long. If I have to wait for Ma Dame Krista to give me the supply of Lantern Flowers, all will be late,” my murmur which then dignasah my splints that grow tapered, “Aaahh? Something that can also manifest magic, but does not injure the body?”

… The otakkun webs are also connected. My increasingly sharp eyes also saw blood vessels running under my skin.there was the answer.the exact same liquid as the Lantern Flower, in fact, might have been much stronger than him. Essences that allow a Witch to manifest magic in the world.

Bloods.

“I have to finish this medicine,” my murmur which then steps out of Mutter's office, towards the Magic Academy.

——— + ———

The window to the principal's office was wide open. I who had climbed on the banyan tree beside the office immediately jumped up and climbed into it. The uproar was clearly heard, inviting the headmaster to look behind the window. But without him knowing it, I had blown the tree and whispered,

Dark magic circles emerged from my kiss, bringing out black flames that rained down on the headmaster's mind. Reeling from his body, the old man fell helplessly asleep on the floor.

Such simple illusion magic was extremely weak if used conventionally, just like ordinary magic. Unlike the other elemental magic that had a strong and explosive intensity, illusion magic was like a sharp little dagger.  When elemental magic attacks a person's body, the illusion targets their mind - the human brain. The closer to the target organ, the more effective the illusion magic will be.

But I never thought, a weak illusion magic like Zennitus, was able to put the Headmaster who was a Magic Magistrate to sleep.

“Focus, Moon,” murmured me who then jumped into the principal's office and started searching on the bookshelf. After searching through the thick black book, I found it. The list of the academy's newest students along with personal identities within them.

“The magician who has a strong mana, but from the common and orphaned circles,” muttered as he quickly traced the contents of the book.

I need blood, but not just any blood. There is only one race that can use magic effectively, humans. But not all humans are born equal, there are some who have extraordinary magic talent. I need the blood of such a talented person in large numbers, because if it takes a hundred Olivia Flowers to imitate Methylprednisolone, then how much blood is needed to imitate a Magicite?

But not just any talented magician I can choose. He must be someone who, when he is gone, no one will care about him. No one will miss him.

Like fate guiding my finger, my eyes opened wide when I found one person who met my criteria. A young girl with short brown hair, attends this academy with the help of an incapacitated scholarship.

“Lumina Aivelstadt,” muttered me smilingly stroking the girl's magic photo.

If I remember, just like me, Lumina was the girl who was ostracized in class. He has a shabby and shabby stature, with thick glasses that his bullies often hide.  There was no day without the sound of abuse and torment that made the girl often cry in the toilet alone. Even he deliberately went home the night to the dormitory, so that no one would see him and work on him again.

The perfect target.

Even the night was thick, when I slipped between the darkness. My eyes also lurked a deserted alley towards the academy's princess dormitory, looking around for my target behind the bushes. One by one the magic lights went off, a clumsy shadow appeared that walked down. Holding tightly to her wet bag after being thrown into the toilet, the girl stepped limping after being kicked down from the second-floor staircase. His leg was bleeding from an infection wound because his damaged shoe was punctured by a glass doorbell.

“S-Who's there?” ask the girl who noticed my presence.

“Oh, you really do have incredible magic,” I said that even emerged from under the bushes, approaching the frightened girl.

“P-Princess Noctis..?” lumina said in disbelief, “A-What noble is looking for me nights like this?”

“Can I ask for all your blood?” ask me politely.

“H-Ha? P-Princess is joking, right?” lumina replied confusedly, she turned to her right and left looking for help, but I had covered the alleyway with an illusion. Nobody's gonna see or hear it tonight.

“A-What does the Princess want to do with my blood?” asked Lumina who was walking backwards, as I approached her with the honed dagger fingers.

“Creating medicine,” I said.

“O-Drug? I mean, Princess wants to use my life to save others?” lumina asked leaning against the wall, understanding that she could not run anywhere. Without magic, a human cannot hope to defeat a daemon.

I nodded and prepared for a magic fight against her, but it turned out that Lumina smiled and dropped her bag. Those dead eyes were now glowing with hope. The girl cried and hugged me tightly.

“... I can't take it anymore, Princess... I beg you.. end all this pain.”.
