“Mama. Mr. Hadi.” Lydia called out with an incredible shocked look. “What are you two doing here?”
“Lydia?” Liani reflexively pulled her hand that was grasped by Hadi, using an unharmed hand.
“Pak Reino and Mbak Lydia are here?” Now it was Hadi's turn to ask in an awkward tone.
Seen like anyhow, the two people who were sitting and looking awkward were dating. The problem now was since when the 2 people were dating.
The other thing that made Reino stunned was why she had to be in-laws with Hadi. For God's sake, Hadi was his personal bodyguard. Officer Reino Andersen and this is not at all funny.
“What are you guys doing here?” Reino asked after her shock was slightly gone.
“We ... we happened to meet.” Liani who answered very nervously. “I suddenly want to eat ice cream and see Mr. Hadi, so you sit down together.”
“Suddenly want to eat ice cream?” lydia asked with both eyebrows tipped up.
“Mama is not pregnant right?” Lydia asked again after her mother nodded.
“Don't be crazy.”
“That's impossible.”
“No.”
The almost simultaneous consecutive answers made Lydia flinch. He was quite surprised when the 3 people he knew squealed almost simultaneously. If the mother and Hadi are still understandable, but Reino?
“This mom is old, Lyd. Can't get pregnant again.”
“Oh yes? My co-worker's wife got pregnant at 42.” Lydia sat down next to her mother. “Mama new 45 right? It can still be, as long as it has not been menopause.”
The curious Reino, along dropped his butt on the chair right next to Hadi. But unlike the wife who looks cheerful, the man looks angry.
“Ha .. ha ... ha ... Don't talk carelessly.” Liani glared straight at.
Liani doesn't mind taking care of the grandchildren, but having more children? That's obviously too risky. Liani could not have been able to, if she had to have a child at that age. Besides being exhausting, it was also embarrassing.
“So since when are you guys dating?” Lydia asked again frankly.
“Oh, not us ..”
“Do not dodge, Mr. Hadi.” Lydia immediately cut out the sentence the man wanted to say with the rebounded hand. “You've been caught wet.”
Both Liani and Hadi looked down embarrassed. Shame about being caught on a date by a child, daughter-in-law, and boss.
“Sorry,” murmured Hadi with a wink.
“Yang is right.” Reino hit the table with a loud enough sound. “You two are really dating?”
Just imagine. Your father-in-law works as your personal bodyguard. Isn't that weird and it would be awkward?
“Mama's dating who it feels like it's none of your business. Why are you against, even though Lydia alone is not.” Liani glared at her daughter-in-law.
Liani's talk is more than enough to make Lydia sure that the mama and Hadi are indeed dating. It was certainly a good thing, but he could also understand Reino's worries.
“No need to be angry, Ma.” Lydia calms the mother. “Reino may only worry that later he will work with his father-in-law.”
“Dad in-law?” Liani and Hadi compactly asked.
“Oh, do you not intend to get married?”
Hearing Lydia's question, the newly-covered couple returned embarrassed. It seemed like they had not yet reached the stage to talk about marriage, so they became embarrassed. Things look really funny in Lydia's eyes.
“Bu .. instead of not thinking up to there, but ..”
“You're really getting married?” Again Reino screeched with a face that looked more and more horror.
“Rei, can you please don't interrupt?” Lydia, of course, rebuked the husband. “I want to listen to the explanation of Mama and Pak Hadi.”
Got orders from the wife, inevitably Reino shut up. That too he did while glancing annoyed at his personal affairs. Makes Hadi even more awkward.
“Now I want to hear an explanation. Want Mama or Mr Hadi to explain?” Lydia asked again. This time he wanted to know in more detail.
“Mama don't know where to tell.” Liani replied still feeling shy.
“Well then I'll ask. Since when are you guys dating?”
“Not long after Liani head operation.” Hadi replied, this time with a more resolute voice. A sign that he is not so nervous anymore. Hadi is not even awkward to call the name Liani, without frills ‘bu’.
“Wow. That's been a long time. It's been more than 6 months.” Lydia was quite surprised by that fact. “Then why kept secret.”
“That's because Mama asked.” This time Liani answered. “Soal initially Mama was not so sure. After Mama is sure too, it feels strange to tell you.”
“Soalnya Hadi works with Reino. Later even awkward.” Liani continued after pausing by staring at her lover for a few seconds.
“Well, that's Mama also aware.” Reino soon chimed in on her mother-in-law.
“But do you intend to get married?” Lydia again asked, without caring about her husband's protest.
Hadi and Liani did not immediately answer. They stared at each other for a while, before finally Hadi who dared to answer the question.
“If no one objected, of course I would happily marry a great woman like Liani.” That speech made Reino seem to lose his soul.
