All this time I have not understood very well how the origin of the emergence of creatures like Pero in the world. I only know that he is a magical creature that has a desire to become human. But, for the history of why he could be like that, my understanding is still biased.
Therefore, when this talk wants to start, Pero first explains the origins of the animus before getting into the main problem.
One of the uniqueness of the source of magic is magic, and that magic arises out of belief. From here, Pero explains in more detail, but what I caught was not thorough because many of the word choices I did not understand.
First the source of the miracle that comes from trust. In fact, when viewed in the scientific side, there is no such thing as an absolute miracle. Miracles are more like coincidences that are considered excessive by humans, that's what they say.
Science develops continuously, and certainly from that development there is a beginning of the point at which we as humans still blunt the mind. There are times when we believe in miracles. As a simple example, When we are thirsty and one time it rains. So we call it a miracle. When we fall off a cliff hundreds of meters away and survive, we mention the magic.
When things are based on chance and great luck, we call it a miracle. But, is it really like that? Does this miracle really exist? Or is it just a one-sided mind where we want to believe there is a special power that gives us a miracle?
This side of thinking formed that magic. When people think it exists, their body and mind behave when it exists. Magic that was originally not there, slowly appeared by the humans themselves. Miracles that were originally only believed, appeared and grew along with humans as the belief grew larger.
I might be able to understand the journey of explanation. But, I began to ask because it was contrary to the understanding that was instilled earlier when I first met with Pero.
“Keep, what does this have to do with you animus?” ask me with curiosity.
Peter responded with his smile. He who I think lives without eliminating animal instincts, turns out to be able to express himself like a normal human being. That doesn't mean it's bad, the feeling I get from his smile is so cool that he looks at me like his opponent.
Of course it is history, history which has shaped the world for thousands of years. From the time set thousands of years, it can be concluded that much has changed.
The magic that humans form comes from trust, but they themselves cannot control the power in full. This is the same as a person who always winks his eyes during his life, if asked how to wink, the person will ask back to himself.
Nothing is certain, everything is mixed up in excess possibilities. Humans live together with magic-shaped things that actually they themselves do not understand how it works.
However, all that changes when there is one unique event in life, when animus appear in the midst of their existence.
Animals basically live by their instincts, the intelligence in their brains tends to develop on the same path and is not as open as a vast human. Unlike humans who have many possibilities and ways to develop, animals have more limitations on various things.
However, there is one condition in which one animal can use his wits, a mistake and a bug in the world that somehow can appear.
Certainly not as big as the human effect. When a creature with an excess of sense is given in the middle of an animal colony, it will not make any changes to that colony. Creatures with a surplus of thought will only become thinkers, do not form many changes and will then become extinct before forming technological developments in their species.
But it also happens if they are allowed to live freely. Generally, animal colonies have rules based on their instincts as well. Animals that have the sense to refute it do not necessarily have the will to get out of the zone.
They can only be rejected, have advantages without being able to be used entirely. When they want to do and open their minds, other animals consider it a strange and taboo oddity. No one supported, the entire colony preferred to maintain the traditional way that has been passed down through generations. Therefore, animals with such a resourcefulness will only pass by and not be left behind.
They cannot be familiar with other animals, they have no place to be accepted sensibly. But, they know that there are other creatures who have a way of thinking similar to them.
Yes, it is human.
These resourceful beasts glanced at them, scrutinized them, paid attention to them, admired his way of life, and even existed at the point of wanting to befriend them. Amidst the pressure of a colony of animals that do not let them, and a promoter when they feel accompanied, inevitably they can only see humans as the only beings of one mind. They had no choice and could only feel familiar with humans.
Some animals with excess is also still filtered again to be able to become animus. Having the advantages of logical thinking like the owner of human reason is not enough, to advance to the next stage to become the animus of the selected animals must have magic.
Perhaps having magic was a bit contradictory, more precisely was the ability to use magic.
Magic or wonder is generally only owned by humans, because the source of the event is humans themselves. Although the animals have the same sense, but that does not mean they can live together like similar individuals.
Some animals can feel it changing shape from magic where they tend to be sharper than humans themselves. Their closeness and long dedication to human attention sensitizes them to magic. Its existence was increasingly clear, and when they were no strangers, they could gradually direct the direction of the magic.
Animals with this sense live together, not infrequently become friends. Coexisting leaves the colony, close to the humans, and grows aging continuously.
Kindness, calmness, happiness, the animal is always given it until he is filled with various emotions. At some point, with all the strong memories, they begin to cultivate selfish desires. A wish that they themselves know is impossible.
The desire to be human.
With a mind that can be said to be equivalent to humans, of course they also understand that it is an impossible thought. No matter how they hope and try, there is still something that will not change and remains impossible to achieve.
However, the desire remains strong, the source grows for a long time, the desire to enter human society, participate in culture and a revolutionary life. This strong desire makes them deceive themselves, live with humans and believe that they are part of that human being. So strong, so concentrated, gathered, fertile, and up to the point of ripening.
They stepped on a new stage, one in which he became an animus who could control magic.
“...”
“...”
“...”
“...”
Maybe it was a short story, but I could feel the long journey experienced by the animals to reach their identity. Living under the environment, forming a free mind, getting out of a system they consider to be failing, leaving the whole family they were born into, and living together with humans they thought were more comfortable with. His long struggle, achieving the dream for the animal is a dream that everyone denies.
I know it's not easy, not trusting a single person in the neighborhood is a painful thing. When I was a child and lived with the power of emotional detection, it felt so lonely when not a single person understood about the suffering and outpouring of my heart.
Huft .. hah ....
I tried to hold on and asked logically back at the main talk.
“So, now what's the problem?” I want to find a conclusion. “Do I have to argue for your story just now?”
“I really appreciate your opinion if you would like to mention it. Also coincidentally I want to know how you view my existence, Kaivan.”
“Heh, what does my view of you mean? So that was your story?” my question is actually a little joking with a tone of abandon and sungging next to a smile.
“At least it is an outline of my story, less and more I take as a general word. You can think of it that way if you want.”
“...”
I was also quite confused when asked for an opinion. For now I still have not clearly felt the value of their existence by hearing and being asked at the same time.
“I don't have a bad picture of the animus. It's just that I also wish they lived according to human rules.”
“Hmn ... so the specific intent?”
“As long as you do not make the act that is indeed the word man is evil, I will not label you evil,” I replied explaining.
“Alright, I take that as a compliment.”
“Iya, but, I want to ask.”
*glance
“...?”
I glanced at Amalia, from earlier she was still silent due to silence and did not intend to communicate using a stationery. If anyone were to describe the situation, he was a person who was almost forgotten, even for me who was facing head-on. However, when the glances I gave her, she began to respond back to those gazes.
“Man who makes you animus. Is she Amalia?” tanyaku who began to change back to face Pero to ask.
“Not,” then answer it with a soft head bobble. “Lia is only the girl who did the contract with me, I was already in animus form before meeting her.”
Ah .. I understand now, of course it is like that.
The story that Pero described was still too broad for me to conclude so. He said that his desire to be human was because he lived together for a long time. Such a state of affairs would make his emotions also dissolve in magic and magic that he said before.
Then, when the animal appears and turns into an animus, there is no compelling reason for him to contract with nearby humans. Moreover, I also realized one thing that began to open up in Peter's life from this explanation.
“Then the house that you have owned, is he the one?”
Normally property will not be built just like that, they have permission and related some troublesome rules made by other humans. So, the existence of the house occupied by Pero raises questions. Was the house his own built, or did it belong to someone he happened to occupy?
“Hmn ... I didn't expect that you could put a topic on that conversation,” said Pero as he put his chin on the line.
“Why? Is that a topic that can't be spread?” I guessed the situation.
“Not, it's not like an absolute secret. I just don't want to just indulge in it for no reason.”
“... So, now you want to tell, or not?” ask me with a pause because of doubt.
“Of course I will answer, you who asked already exist in the form of reasons. I myself am a little unpleasant to express it, maybe for you it is something commonly called shame. But, yes .. The owner of the house was my late employer. He used to name me Pero.”
