Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness

Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness
CHAPTER 8

The morning sun shunned the world brightly making people to start their respective activities, at this time Rayno is preparing to go to school after being absent for a week because of her fever.

When Rayno finished wearing her school dress, Rayno's bedroom door was opened by William.

William entered the room with a warm smile on his face, his presence radiating a sense of support.

"Good morning, Rayno," she said, her voice filled with genuine concern. "Are you feeling better today?"

Rayno nodded, a faint smile adorning her lips. "Yes, much better. Thank you, Liam."

William smiles at Rayno's answer and walks over to her and touches Rayno's forehead to make sure that Rayno is completely cured of the fever.

After making sure that Rayno fever is no longer there. William's eyes sparkled proudly when Rayno was completely healed.

"I'm glad you're cured. The others are already waiting below, eager to meet you"

William laughed as he recalled his family who were very excited because Rayno had started to open up again with them.

As they descended the stairs, the smell of breakfast filled the air, mingling with the warmth of laughter and chatter.

The Mahavir family had gathered in the dining room, their faces shining with anticipation. Jace, Lea, Evan, Eros and Sagara greet Rayno with enthusiastic smiles, expressing their happiness for Rayno.

"Good morning, my son!" Naira exclaimed excitedly, her voice filled with maternal affection.

"Mother has prepared a delicious breakfast to give you the energy to go to school"

Naira approached Rayno and pulled her to sit down, and Naira began to take food one by one for her husband and children.

At breakfast, they engage in lively conversation, distracting Rayno from her worries and giving her a sense of confidence.

They share stories, exchange jokes, and give encouraging words. Each member of the family plays its own role, creating a harmonious atmosphere that envelops Rayno with love and support.

With a full stomach and uplifted spirit, it was time to set out to start each other's activities. The Mahavir family stood at the front door, ready to start the day.

"I'll take Rayno to school" Lea smiled, then immediately pulled Rayno's hand to enter the car.

Lea's sudden remarks to drive Rayno to school caught everyone off guard. Which was a lot of fun for Lea because she was going to take her sister.

The moment they entered the car, Rayno inevitably felt Lea's excitement. It made Rayno laugh a little at her older sister.

Lea turned on the engine, and the car lit up alive. As they passed by the streets they were familiar with, Lea's playful banter filled the air, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

Rayno finds herself laughing at Lea's jokes, the tension slowly dissipating as they share the fun moments.

Lea glanced at Rayno, her eyes filled with curiosity and attention. "Hey, Ray, how are you feeling now? Is it feeling good?"

Rayno nodded, appreciating Lea's sincere concern. "I'm fine, brother, you don't have to worry, thanks for your attention"

Then Rayno looked at Lea and smiled softly at her "What movie is the big brother making already finished? I'll make sure I watch the first movie you make"

"It's not finished yet, maybe soon I will finish it, after it's finished later I will let you who will be the first person to watch the movie I made" Lea promised sincerely.

Rayno's smile widened at Lea's promise. The anticipation of watching Lea's movie made her excited and curious. The thought of being the first person to witness her sister's first movie made her feel special and appreciated.

Upon arriving at their destination, Lea parked her car in front of Rayno's school gate, then Lea looked at Rayno and gave Rayno a pat on the head.

"Ray's passion for learning, brother will pick you up again later when you finish school, remember that you are not alone and your family including me will always support you, little brother" Lea's soft speech then stroked Rayno's hair.

Rayno nodded, her heart filled with gratitude for the wise words and encouragement from her older sister. As they said goodbye to each other, Rayno stepped out of the car.

As Rayno stepped out of the car, she could feel the gazes of the student students, their whispers floating in the air. It was clear that news of the absence had spread among the students.

She could feel the weight of judgmental eyes on him, but she refused to let him destroy her.

She knows that her family's love and support is much stronger than any negativity she might encounter.

Rayno took a deep breath and stepped through the familiar gate.

Rayno walked down the hallway of the school, while walking Rayno looked around the school.  A few moments later Rayno arrived at her class and walked into the classroom.

As Rayno enters the classroom, her classmates turn their attention towards her. Whispers and murmurs filled the air, mixed with shocked and happy expressions.

They miss Rayno during her absence, and her return brings a feeling of excitement to the room.

One of his closest friends. Naomi, Naomi Eleanor approached him with a big smile. "Rayno, you're back! We're worried about you. What about your fever?"

Rayno returned her smile, grateful for the attention of her friend. "I feel better, Naomi. Thank you for your attention."

Other classmates joined the conversation, revealing their relief and asking about her health.

They share stories and updates about what happened at school during his absence, informing him of the latest news and events.

Until they don't realize that one of the students in the class is looking at Rayno hatefully when they see her. The man remained silent but his gaze continued to pierce towards Rayno, as if wanting her to disappear.

Then the teacher entered the room, and the chatter died down. Rayno sat down, feeling a blend of comfort and excitement. It was nice to be surrounded by familiar faces.

The lesson then began, the teacher explained in front while writing on the board. It didn't feel like time had passed and the lesson was over because the break bell rang.

The students stood up from their chairs and left the classroom to go to the school cafeteria.

Rayno also stood up from her chair and walked out to the cafeteria with her friend, when she felt like going to the toilet.

"You guys go first, I want to go to the toilet first I'll catch up"

Rayno said, then turned to walk away. Rayno's friend who heard that nodded her head then also went to the cafeteria.

As Rayno walked to the toilet, Rayno did not realize that there was someone following her to the toilet, it was the same person in the class who had been continuously staring at Rayno with hatred.
