Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness

Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness
CHAPTER 7

Sagara as the firstborn could not bear to see his sister who continued to suffer in silence. Determined to make a difference, Sagara decides to approach Rayno with unwavering support and affection.

In the evening, as the sun sets below the horizon and the world embraces the tranquility of the twilight, Sagara knocks on Rayno's bedroom door gently. A soft voice echoed through the silence.

Sagara knocked on the door gently, his hands trembling slightly. "Rayno," he called out, his voice filled with trepidation and sincerity. "Can you come in?"

Rayno, who was deep in thought, raised her gaze to meet the door that was being knocked on. The void in his eyes turned into a flash of curiosity and shock.

There was a moment of hesitation, but then Rayno's voice, almost whispering, replied, "Yes Brother Gara. Come inside."

Sagara steps into the room with a bowl of porridge for Rayno's dinner.

Sagara's eyes were immediately fixed on Rayno's grim expression. He closed the door behind him, creating a sense of privacy that allowed their conversation to flow freely.

With each step getting closer to Rayno, Sagara's heart beats a little faster, his desire to offer comfort and comfort is getting stronger for his sister.

He sat on the edge of Rayno's bed, their eyes met in silence understanding the pain they both endured.

Sagara then starts for the conversation first.

"Good night Ray, how are you doing now? Is it better?"

Sagara smiled as he put down the congee, then Sagara looked at Rayno waiting for his answer.

"I'm feeling a little good, maybe my fever has gone down a bit" Rayno said, slowly holding herself to lean on the dashboard, then Rayno continued.

"What about brother? Is your job going well? "

Sagara who heard Rayno's question smiled widely, because his sister had not asked anything about him for a long time.

"My work is going well, Ray," replied Sagara, sincere enthusiasm radiating in his eyes.

"But you know? No problem with work. The most important thing to me is you, and making sure you're okay."

Rayno's eyes widened in surprise due to the sudden attention from her brother

"Thank you... For your attention, brother"

Sagara chuckled and stroked Rayno's hair attentively on the younger brother.

Then Sagara took a bowl containing the porridge and slowly fed Rayno the porridge.

After a while the porridge ran out, Sagara then continued talking again.

Sagara slowly reached out, placed his hand on Rayno's hair then gently rubbed it, giving it a soothing touch.

"You are loved, Rayno," Sagara stressed, his voice full of confidence.

"Mama never wanted anything other than for you to find peace and happiness in this world. He wants you to forgive yourself, just as he'll forgive you."

A heavy silence settled between them, allowing Rayno to absorb Sagara's words,

Then Sagara continued, his voice was still firm over his words.

"I may not understand the depth of your grief, but I'm here to listen, offering a shoulder to lean on. We are family and family standing together through difficult times."

Sagara was silent for a moment, then looked at Rayno deeply and understandingly.

"I know you blame yourself for what happened, but none of Me, Father, Mother or any other brother blames you. We love you, Rayno and we want to help you heal from your guilt."

Rayno's voice trembled as she spoke, her vulnerability permeating. "I can only think that if I didn't insist on going with Mom that day, she would still be alive."

"I understand it's not easy, Ray. But you have to remember that what happened was not your fault. It was an accident tragedy. Blaming yourself won't change what happens, but it will prevent you from moving forward if you keep blaming yourself."

Tears welled up in Rayno's eyes, her emotions overflowing.

"I miss Mama. Every day my heart feels more empty because of the loss of Mama, without the presence of Mama feels very heavy for me to overcome"

Sagara pulls Rayno into a warm embrace, hugging her tightly.

"I miss Ray too. We all miss him. But we must find a way to honor Mama's passing by living our lives to the fullest. Mama definitely doesn't want us to drown in a continuous deep sadness."

Rayno's voice trembled as she finally spoke, her words heavy with pain.

"Sister, I don't know how to escape this guilt. It's choking me, wasting every thought in my brain."

Sagara was silent for a moment, then hugged Rayno tighter, and in a whisper Sagara spoke.

"I can't promise that the guilt will magically disappear, but I can promise you this, we will face it together. Let me be your strength when you feel weak, let me be your voice when you cannot find words. Lean on me Rayno, and let me as your brother help you to move on without giving up."

Tears welled up in Rayno's eyes, her emotional doors opening little by little. Rayno leaned into Sagara's embrace, letting herself be weak at this moment.

The burden he carried after such a long time felt slightly lighter, the darkness being pierced by a glimmer of light bit by bit.

The two of them remained hugging for a while, each finding calm before each other.

Sagara knows that healing will take time, but he is determined to support Rayno at every step of the way.

As Sagara and Rayno embrace, the creaking door opens revealing the other family members standing there, their eyes filled with hope and love.

The Mahavir family has witnessed the beginning of a new chapter, one in which Rayno will no longer face everything alone. One by one they embraced Rayno together.

Lea, her older sister, hugged her tightly, her voice filled with gentleness as she whispered in her ear.

"You're stronger than you know Rayno. We're here to remind you that we've always loved you."

Eros, Rayno's half-sister, clasped his shoulders, his eyes reflecting determination.

"We will fight with you, Brother" Eros said firmly. Evan then continued the words of his twin brother.

"No matter how long, we'll be here to lift you up when you fall by your despair"

William's other half-brother, placed his hand gently on Rayno's back. "You're part of this family, Ray," she said softly.

"And in this family, we look after each other. We'll help you find your way back to happiness."

Naira, her stepmother, hugged her tightly, her voice filled with motherly love.

"Mother may not be your birth mother, but Mommy loves you so much, son" she said, her voice trembling with emotion.

"Your pain is our pain, and we will do all we can to help you heal."

Jace, his father stepped forward and hugged Rayno, his voice full of determination.

"I made a promise to your mother, Rayno. That I will protect you and love you unconditionally. And I intend to keep that promise. We're gonna face this together, as a family."

And in the warmth of their embrace, surrounded by the unwavering love and support of the Mahavir family for Rayno.

Rayno felt a glimmer of hope burning in her heart. It was the beginning of Rayno's journey towards healing, redemption, and rediscovery of the joy that life has to offer.
