Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness

Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness
CHAPTER 11

As the moon shone through the room with a gentle light, Naira sat by the bed, her heart heavy with the burden of Rayno's pain.

He wished he could remove the sadness that blurred his son's innocent eyes, replacing it with boundless excitement.

Tears trickled down Naira's cheeks, proof of her deep love for Rayno. He knew that despite his efforts, he could not fill the void left by Rayno's biological mother's absence.

As Naira continues to caress Rayno's hair, her heart is filled with a mixture of love, guilt, and determination.

She always tried her best to be a caring and kind Mother to Rayno, but she couldn't help but feel the burden of not being her real mother.

But Naira will strive to be a pillar of support, an unwavering presence in Rayno's life.

"Rayno, my son," whispered Naira, her voice trembling with emotion.

Tears welled up in Naira's eyes as she whispered softly, her voice trembling with emotion.

"I may not have given birth to you Rayno, but the love I have for you is no less. I have always loved you as mine and I will always be there for you, no matter what. Your happiness and well-being mean a lot to me."

Naira's fingers gently caressed Rayno's cheeks, her touch gentle and loving motherly.

"I may not be able to replace your mother, but I promise to love you with all my heart. I will be there for you, sustaining you when you feel weak, guiding you through the storms that life may bring."

He wanted to protect her from all the pain and hardship that life could provide, to wrap her in an embrace of lasting warmth and security.

"You are not alone, my dear. Our family is here for you, supporting you every step of the way. We may not share the same blood, but the love that binds us is just as strong."

Naira smiled as she put away Rayno's hair.

"We're going to create new memories together, and I'm going to cherish every moment we spend as a family."

His voice trembled with unspoken emotions, his love flowing in every word.

Naira's heart aches because of the pain Rayno brings, and she vows to do everything in her power to help her find happiness.

"I know it's not easy, Sadness has its own way and it takes time to heal. But I promise to walk beside you, listen to your grief, and celebrate your victory."

Naira leaned closer, giving a soft kiss on her son's forehead, her lips lasting a moment before she whispered.

"You are loved, my precious son. And you will always have the love and support of Mom and the others."

In the silence of the room, Naira remained seated beside Rayno, her presence providing comfort in the middle of Rayno's dream.

Naira hopes her words will go deep into Rayno's heart, reminding her that she is loved and never alone.

A single tear slid down Naira's cheek. She leaned closer to Rayno and gave a tender and loving kiss on her forehead, secretly promising to be there for her through the darkest nights and brightest days.

As night envelops them in her arms, Naira whispers the final certainty to her sleeping son.

"Rest now, my precious Rayno. Tomorrow is a new day, and we will face it together"

Naira whispered softly then kissed Rayno's forehead for a long time, after a while Naira moved away and pulled the blanket to cover Rayno's body.

Naira turned around leaving Rayno's room. Naira's eyes glazed with glass, Naira continued to walk away to her room with Naira's steps that continued to waver and tremble.

Naira hugged Jace tightly, seeking comfort and comfort in her arms.

He buried his face in his chest, tears streaming down his cheeks as his emotional burden overwhelmed him. Jace, waking from his sleep, hugs Naira, as he feels his wife's uneasiness.

"What's up, my dear?" jace asked, his voice filled with worry and drowsiness.

Naira struggled to find her voice amidst the sobs that were whackling her body. He took a deep breath, calmed down as best he could, and looked into Jace's eyes.

"This is Rayno" whispered Naira, her voice trembling. "The pain was very painful for me. I can't stand to see him suffer like this."

Jace hugged Naira tighter, her grip giving her a sense of security amid a storm of emotions. He knows the challenges they face as a family and he understands Naira's role in Rayno's life.

"We did everything we could for her, my dear," Jace assured her.

"Sometimes, acceptance for the past takes time and we have to be patient to wait for Rayno's acceptance of her past. But we will continue to be there for her, to support and love her unconditionally."

Naira nodded, finding comfort in Jace's words. They cling to each other, finding solace in their shared love and commitment to their families. Finally, fatigue struck, and they fell back to sleep peacefully, hugging tightly.

The next morning, as the sun began to emit its gentle rays into the world. Naira awakens with renewed determination, She gently breaks away from Jace's embrace and prepares for the day to come.

He walked into Rayno's room, finding her still asleep, the look on her face softened by the morning light.

Naira approached her bed, a mixture of love and worry engraved on her face. He pulled a hair from Rayno's face, a soft smile on his lips.

"Good morning, my dear Rayno" whispered Naira, her voice filled with warmth and affection.

With a gentle touch, Naira awakens Rayno from her sleep, helping her get up from her bed.

Rayno slowly wakes up when she feels a familiar voice, Rayno's eyes open and sees that it was her mother who woke her up.

"Oh.. Mother"

Rayno sat down and yawned a little which made Naira laugh a little see Rayno looks still sleepy, Naira then saw Rayno's eyes are slightly swollen because of crying.

Gently Naira rubbed Rayno's eyes, making Rayno close her eyes enjoying the swipe Naira did.

"You're still sleepy, aren't you? I'm sorry you woke you up, but today you still have to go to school. Later when it is time for school holidays Mother will let Rayno sleep as much as possible"

Rayno looked at her Mother for a moment, then chuckled at her Mother's words. Rayno's feelings improved slightly due to this interaction, slightly forgetting the sadness from last night.

"Sure Mother, I will be very happy" Rayno smiled gently and hugged Naira, who Naira replied with a tight hug.

"Thank you.. Already present in my life Mother" Rayno whispered softly, smiling happily at Naira.

Naira was silent stiff when she heard Rayno's words, Naira's hand that hugged Rayno trembled with happiness. With tears dripping down Naira then kissed her son's forehead lovingly.

"Thank you also for accepting Mother, Mother is very grateful to have met you and others."

Naira smiled happily, then continued to hug her son tightly which Rayno replied also hugged Naira tightly.
