Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness

Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness
CHAPTER 17

After dinner the Mahavir family sat on the living room sofa, they still wanted to listen to each other's stories before going to bed.

Naira looked at her twins affectionately, her eyes sparkling with pride in both of her twins.

"Evan, tell me more about your new song. What inspired you this time?" Naira asked, her voice full of curiosity.

Evan's eyes sparkled with excitement as he explained the process of making his new song to his family.

"This song is about friendship. I'm working on the melody and the lyrics, and I think it'll be my best work ever"

Sagara seemed interested in Evan's words. "That sounds incredible, Evan. I can't wait to hear it"

Sagara then stroked Evan's hair and looked at Evan with a smile.

"Maybe we can collaborate someday, with my guitar skills and your vocals. We can create an amazing song together."

Sagara was interested in music as a child, so Sagara was trying to learn to use the guitar.

But Sagara stopped playing guitar when he was getting busy with his work until Sagara could not take the time to play guitar again.

Although Sagara has not played the guitar for a long time because he is busy with his work, it is undeniable that Sagara also misses to play his guitar again.

Evan's face beamed at the idea. "of course! We should try it. It would be great to combine our talents and make music together."

Meanwhile, Eros, the soul of family art, shares his love of painting with a gentle smile.

"I've been working on a new painting lately. It is a depiction of a tranquil sunset, where colors blend and dance on canvas. I tried to capture the peace and emotions that were engendered within me."

Lea chimed in, her eyes sparkling in admiration for Eros.

"Your painting has always been so charming Eros. The painting always spills a lot of emotions and touches the heart of people who see it. Your talent is truly extraordinary."

Eros blushed a little embarrassed by the compliment that her sister said.

"Thank you, Lea. Art allows me to connect with my emotions and convey my feelings in ways that sometimes fail to express in words. This is a form of therapy for me."

Rayno leaned closer to Eros, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"How do you choose your color, Eros? Your paintings are always very beautiful and show a lot of emotions."

Eros thought for a moment before answering Rayno. "This is an intuitive process for me. I let my emotions guide me and I chose colors that resonated with my feelings, Brother Ray"

Eros then looks at Rayno, Eros learns that Rayno is also interested in painting.

Sometimes Eros sees Rayno drawing something on the paper when Eros checks it turns out it is a picture.

"Sometimes paintings can be bold and energetic and at other times more soothing and quiet. Each painting is a reflection of the emotional world of oneself."

Eros then holds Rayno's hand with a smile, Rayno who suddenly held his hand and then held back Eros' hand.

Eros stared down where Rayno's wrist was, there were many cuts in her brother's white and tiny hands.

"Is Rayno interested in painting? We can paint together if Brother wants."

Rayno blinked in surprise when Eros suddenly invited her to paint together, Rayno was silent for a moment and then smiled slightly at her sister.

"Sure it could be Eros, I'd be so happy if I could paint with you"

Eros' eyes immediately sparkled with pleasure, with Eros immediately embracing Rayno's small body.

Because Rayno is the shortest in the Mahavir family, Evan and Eros' bodies are even taller and larger than Rayno's.

William and Lea laughed at Eros' enthusiasm for Rayno, Sagara and Evan stopped talking when they heard William and Lea laughing.

Sagara shook his head while chuckling at Eros and Rayno, while Evan immediately walked up to Eros and Rayno and tightly hugged Rayno spoiled.

"I also want to get a hug from Brother Ray loh"

Evan looked expectantly at Rayno who made Rayno laugh at Evan, immediately Rayno also hugged Evan along with Eros who was also hugging Rayno on her right.

Jace and Naira who had just been silent, listened carefully to the conversation of their son.

Jace and Naira smile at the children who get along and love each other, making the hearts of both warm with love from their children.

Jace gently stroked Naira's hair while continuing to look at their child's interaction.

"Children look so close, don't they, baby? I just hope our happiness will always last like this"

Naira smiled gently then looked at Jace sincerely and lovingly.

"Of course, we as parents would want our children to live happily, I'm glad your son received me well when you first introduced me to your son."

Jace stroked Naira's hair, then Jace looked at Naira with a twinkle of affection for her.

"I'm also grateful that our children got along and didn't fight when we said we were getting married at that time"

Jace chuckles in light of the incident, Jace was very nervous that day when he was going to introduce Naira to Sagara, Lea and Rayno.

Jace was afraid that her three children would refuse their marriage at the time.

Naira laughs when she remembers the incident as well, they are both equally afraid if later their children do not get along with each other and end up hating each other.

But Jace and Naira are wrong because the thought was not like that, in fact their children get along even though at the beginning they are awkward because they first met each other.

But as time goes by, Jace's son and Naira's son become closer and more caring for each other.

It makes Jace and Naira relieved and happy because their children are close to each other without anyone hating each other.

The night passed with a harmonious blend of conversation, laughter, and anticipation in the Mahavir family.

Mahavir family appreciates every time together, always listening and enjoying their respective stories that occur in their daily lives.

As the night drew to a close, they said good night to each other, each of them entering the room and resting themselves.

In contrast to the harmonious and peaceful Mahavir family, Jake's family looks very gloomy and hollow.
