Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness

CHAPTER 10

When Rayno came down and went straight to the kitchen, she saw that the others were already sitting at the dining table talking, they immediately stopped talking when they saw that Rayno had arrived.

"Good night everyone" said Rayno smilingly greeting all her family and Rayno sitting in the middle of the twins.

They smiled back as Rayno greeted them, then they returned her greeting. When Rayno saw one by one his family Rayno saw that William did not exist.

"Where is Liam's brother? "  Tanya Rayno was confused while looking at her family.

"Liam was suddenly getting a call from the hospital, it looks like there's an emergency patient" 

Sagara answered his worried face with his brother who seemed to be very busy.

"When the child still hasn't eaten, I hope Liam will take the time to eat first"

Naira sighed, then put the food on the table with Lea helping her.

"Silver seems to be very busy" Rayno's face wrinkled worriedly, Rayno could only hope that her brother rested enough so as not to get exhausted.

As the family sat down to eat, there was a real absence in the air. Worry for William remains in their hearts, but they know that his job as a doctor is very busy.

The room was filled with a mixture of conversation and the moments of silence they ate, the clanking of cutlery accompanied eating with them.

As they finished dinner, Naira's phone rang, causing a momentary pause in the room. His eyes widened in worry as he answered the call. The conversation was brief, and Naira's expression softened as she hung up the phone.

"That's Liam," Naira said, a mix of relief and worry evident in her voice.

"The state of emergency has been resolved, and he will be home soon. He's tired but he assures us that he's got dinner."

Rayno's face beamed with a small smile, grateful for Liam's news. The burden in their hearts began to lift, and a sense of certainty filled the room.

The servants then cleaned the dining table after the Mahavir Family finished eating. The sound of plates clanking and water running, was heard as the servants were clean.

They gathered in the living room after finishing their meal, a comfortable silence enveloping the Mahavir family.

Then the night was getting late, one by one the other returned to the room to rest, Rayno also returned to the room and now lay down on the bed.

Rayno was silent while lying down, her mind remembered the incident with Jake, then turned to think of something else.

Suddenly Rayno gasps at the memory of her Mama making Rayno's heart throb, a moment of thought that she had forgotten for several weeks, that she could not meet her Mama again.

In the silence of the night, a single tear fell as the memories of a Mother continued to flood Rayno's mind again. Slowly the more tears came out, Rayno's heart hurt more and more to think of the last word from her Mama.

Amidst Rayno's silent cries and heartache, her mind drifted back to that day, the day her life changed forever. Memories of his mother's love and sacrifice are etched within him. The guilt is always on him.

Rayno vividly remembers the last moments they shared together, her Mama's last words that will forever stick in her heart.

With tears streaming down her scarred face, her Mama tightly hugged her body that was trembling in pain. Their bodies were both covered in wounds and blood but Mama kept whispering sedative words to her. With a soft but very soft and warm voice

'Rayno, remember that I will always be with you, even if you cannot see me. You and your brother are a blessing to me. You are my greatest happiness and my proudest achievement in my life'.

Those were the last words the Mother said to the child, her voice filled with an unshakable mixture of sadness and love. At that tragic moment, the mother had protected her son from harm, sacrificing her own life to protect him.

In that dark night, a mother goes to great lengths to protect her child, as the woman's breath slowly slows down, his heart slowly stopped beating with his arms still holding the child.

While a child who is still in his mother's arms cries more when he feels the mother's heart is getting weaker.

*With a vibrating voice the child continues to call the Mother who has closed her eyes tightly, until the child feels her mother's heart that has stopped beating.

The loud crying sound of the child was submerged with the loud sound of an ambulance. The child continued to cry in the arms of the Mother who had fallen asleep in eternity.

Rayno's heart aches from her mother's absence, and the void left by her disappearance seems insurmountable by her.

As tears streamed down her face, Rayno whispered softly, as if her words could reach another realm.

"Ma, I miss you so much. I wish you were here with me. I wish I could hear your voice and feel your warm embrace once again. The pain of your loss is unbearable to me, but I will try to survive in this world without the presence of Mama."

Rayno's voice trembled with a mixture of sadness and love as she continued to pour her emotions into the quiet and empty room.

"Thank you for being my guiding light, for teaching me the meaning of love and toughness. I became me because of you. Your sacrifice protected me during the accident and will forever be etched into my memory"

Rayno said in a trembling voice, then took a heavy breath.

"I'm sorry for whatever pain I've caused you, and I promise to live a life of happiness."

As Rayno spoke, her voice grew softer, a burden of sadness weighed on her young shoulders. However, in that grief, a glimmer of strength and determination appeared.

"I'll make you proud, Ma. Even though I can't see you, I know you're watching me, guiding me through the path of life's destiny. Your spirit will always be a part of me"

As Rayno continued to lie on her bed, tears soaked her pillow, she kept remembering her Mama's words and her Mama's moment together.

Rayno finds her comfort and sadness in the love and encouragement that her Mama has given her.

In the silence that followed Rayno could almost feel the presence of her Mother, her loving soul surrounding her, providing comfort and strength in her darkest moments.

With a heavy but firm heart, Rayno closed her eyes, letting the memories of the mother's love hold her.

Rayno knows that even though her Mama is physically gone, her soul will forever guide her, illuminating her path and reminding her of the incredible bond they share.

With a face filled with tears and mixed emotions, Rayno slowly fell asleep uneasily, her mother's memories accompanying her in her dreams.

The night continues, embracing the silent space where Rayno's pain.

Outside the door of Rayno's room, there sat Naira who continued to shed tears after hearing and seeing Rayno's sadness, Naira as a mother could not bear to see her son fall into grief.
