Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness

Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness
CHAPTER 12

After their embrace, Naira gently moved away from Rayno and smiled gently at her.

"Now, let's get ready for school my dear" she said gently, her voice filled with love and warmth. Naira helps Rayno stand up, guiding her towards the bathroom.

Rayno nodded and walked to the bathroom, feeling a stream of warm water all over her body.

A gentle stream of water washed away the remaining traces of sleep. Rayno was in no hurry to finish the bath, enjoying the peaceful silence as her mind wandered.

After taking a shower, Rayno stepped out wrapped in a soft towel. She entered her room again, where her Mother had already prepared school clothes for her.

Rayno quickly got dressed, her mind filled with anticipation for today. After Rayno finished, she walked out of her room to the kitchen.

As Rayno entered the kitchen, the smell of freshly cooked breakfast filled the air. Other family members had gathered around the table, their faces beaming with warmth and love. The sight brought a smile to Rayno's face.

"Oh you've come, let's sit down Ray" William pulled Rayno sitting next to him. Rayno sat down and Rayno looked at William worriedly.

"Did you rest well last night? I hope you don't push yourself too much"

Rayno smiled warmly at William. While William returned his smile with joy because he got the attention of his sister.

"Sure, you'll make sure you don't push yourself" William chuckled and pinched Rayno's cheek.

The other family smiled at the interaction, their hearts warmed as they watched Rayno open up to them.

"I also want to be noticed Rayno" said Sagara by playing and raising eyebrows.

Rayno chuckles at Sagara's funny comment and turns her attention towards him.

Sagara pretended to frown, crossing his arms.

"Well, it's time you noticed your eldest brother, right? I miss you little brother." Sagara smiled and broke his sister's hair.

Rayno's expression softened, and she reached out to hold Sagara's hand.

"I miss you too, Brother Gara. I promise I'll spend more time together."

Jace and Naira witness their interaction with a warm smile, their hearts as parents filled with gratitude for the bond they shared.

Lea joins in a hilarious banter, teasing Rayno and Sagara with a mischievous grin.

"Come, Rayno. Don't forget your sister. I hope you watch my movie and give an honest opinion" Lea said, nudging Rayno on the shoulder.

Rayno nodded excitedly. "of course. I can't wait to see your movie, too. I will definitely be your biggest fan!"

Evan and Eros, who had been observing the interaction, could not help but join in.

"Hey, don't forget your twin brother. We have so much to do together!"

Rayno chuckled and reached out and ruffled the hair of her twin sisters affectionately, making them frown.

"Don't worry Evan Eros, I'll make time for you guys" Rayno replied smiling at her two younger siblings.

Evan and Eros' frowns turned into wide smiles, their eyes sparkling with delight at seeing their older brother who was going to make time for them.

Then Naira serves a plate full of good food on the table. Then the Mahavir family started eating their breakfast.

As Rayno enjoys her breakfast, the laughter and chatter of loved ones fills the room, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Then Rayno picks up her school bag, making sure she has all her books and assignments. He hugged every member of his family.

"Hopefully your day at school, my dear," said Naira, cupping Rayno's face with her hands and implanting a soft kiss on her forehead. "Remember, we're always there for you."

Then Naira kisses the forehead of her other child and at her husband's turn, Naira kisses Jace's cheek gently.

Rayno smiled, feeling the love and support of the family that enveloped her. He then said goodbye to his family.

Then Rayno stepped lightly, walking out the door with her father who would deliver her to school.

As Rayno and Jace walk towards the car, Jace embraces Rayno's shoulder, pulling her closer.

Jace spoke in a reassuring tone, "You're going to have a great day at Rayno's school. Remember to stay positive and be yourself."

Rayno nodded, feeling her father's comforting presence. "I will, Dad. Thank you for always being there for me."

Jace smiled warmly, his eyes radiating pride. "You're my son, Rayno. Supporting you and watching you grow is one of my greatest joys."

Rayno felt her grief from last night slowly disappearing in place with the warmth of her family and her father.

"I'm lucky to have you as my father."

Jace patted Rayno's back affectionately. "And I'm lucky to have you as my son. Now, let's make today fun."

They get to the car, and Jace opens the door for Rayno. Rayno went inside, sat in her chair and put up a seatbelt.

When Jace started the car, he glanced at Rayno. "Do you have any plans for today? Are there activities or tasks you like?"

Rayno thought for a moment, her face beaming. "Well, in English class, we'll discuss our favorite books. I can't wait to tell you about my favorite book in class."

Jace smiled, happy to see Rayno looking forward to her day. "That sounds incredible. Enjoy every moment and make the most of your opportunities."

Rayno nodded. "Yes Dad. I'll make sure to study and have fun."

Arriving at school, Jace parked the car and turned to Rayno. "Remember, if you need anything, don't hesitate to contact me or the others."

Rayno nodded, feeling confident. "Thank you, Dad. I know I can always count on you and Mom."

Jace bowed and hugged Rayno wholeheartedly. "Hopefully your day is good, my son."

Rayno returned the hug, feeling a wave of love and affection from her father. "Yes Dad. See you soon!"

With that, Rayno got out of the car, waving to her father. As he walked towards the school gate.

Rayno entered the school gate and walked towards her class. As he stepped in, he was greeted by the familiar faces of his classmates.

They looked up from their table, their eyes sparkling with excitement at the sight of Rayno.

Rayno smiled at her friend "For friends, how are you?"

"Hey, Rayno! It's good to see you back!" shouted one of his classmates, waving at him. His name is Kavelo, Kavelo Zachary.

Rayno smiled and walked to the table and sat down and looked at Kavelo with a smile. "Thank you, it's good to be back."

As Rayno talks to her friend, Rayno doesn't realize that Jake keeps looking at her.
