Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness

Crossing the Darkness Towards Happiness
CHAPTER 1

The night wind pierced through the skin of a teenager standing on the bridge fence.

The teenager's facial sharpener that only features a flat face. Calm down is what the young man felt.

Rayno craved death.

Rayno had given up on her life since the past incident.

He is always haunted by guilt about the incident, he can never forget the incident that made him lose someone he loved so much.

So this is where Rayno is, intending to end her life in a cold and calming night.

The night was enveloped in a cold embrace, matching the despair that gripped Rayno's heart.

Standing on the rare edge of the bridge fence, he staggered between life and death, the wind piercing through his skin like a blade of ice. His face remained stoic, a numb facade covering the chaos within.

Rayno has reached her breaking point, overwhelmed by the guilt that has plagued her since past incidents that haunt her.

It had dispelled her desire to live, leaving a void that Rayno and her heart seemed unable to overcome.

The memory of the tragedy, in which Rayno lost someone dear, is the specter of being ever present tormenting her at all times within Rayno.

The pain she carried was a relentless companion, eroding the glimmer of hope that dared to flash within her.

Life has become an unbearable burden, and in that cold and soothing night.

Rayno believed that death offered the only consolation she had been looking for.

When Rayno closed her eyes to jump suddenly a hand pulled her away which made Rayno and the person immediately fell down.

"Who-"

When Rayno wanted to ask suddenly the person in front of her immediately interrupted her.

"What are you doing Ray, are you crazy!!" Shake that guy.

Rayno was silent, The person in front of her is Sagara's first sister.

The Sagara Athaya Mahavir.

"Why are you silent not to answer?, answered me Ray!! Don't you know that Dad and the others went looking for you, you suddenly disappeared from the mansion and everyone was worried about you."

Said Sagara with a worried and frightened tone, Sagara then immediately checked the condition of his sister.

Seeing no injuries or abrasions on Rayno, Sagara immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Sagara was so afraid that if he was a little late, his sister was gone.

At that time the Mahavir family was having their respective activities so in the mansion there was only Rayno, although Rayno was not alone because there were servants and bodyguards who guarded it.

But they still worry. Because Rayno always does something desperate to hurt himself.

Therefore every day there will be one of the Mahavir family who will always keep and accompany Rayno.

They were very panicked and worried when they heard from the bodyguard that Rayno was missing.

At that time the head of the family or arguably the father of Sagara and Rayno, immediately rampaged to the servants and bodyguards because they neglected to look after Rayno.

After that the Mahavir family immediately went to split up looking for Rayno. Sagara then wanted to find his sister in the city park.

But Sagara immediately stopped when he saw Rayno who was already standing on the guardrail of the road bridge under which there is only a river. Sagara's heart stopped for a few seconds.

Sagara is very grateful he is not late to find his sister.

After making sure his sister was not injured, Sagara immediately carried his sister and got into the car.

While Rayno was only silent when carried and brought into the car by Sagara.

On the way home there was only silence. Rayno who is silent and does not want to talk anything and Sagara who focuses on driving. Sagara occasionally glanced at Rayno who was just staring out the car window.

Sagara's mind drifts past where Rayno begins to change. It all started with the incident, his sister always blamed herself for what had happened.

Since then her cheerful and warm sister turned quiet and closed to them.

While thinking about past events, a voice interrupted Sagara who immediately broke his mind.

"Stop daydreaming if you don't want us both to die by accident."

Rayno calmly looked at the car window.

Sagara who heard that let out a tired sigh. Sagara's other hand gently stroked Rayno's hair, while Sagara's other hand held the steering wheel.

"Ray please stop doing this. You know that we love you so much, you're not alone Ray is with us. The past is not your fault"

Sagara was silent for a moment and then exhaled his breath slowly.

"So Brother please don't hurt yourself anymore Ray or torture yourself again, surely Mama also doesn't want you like this. Mama will be disappointed and angry with you if she knows you've always hurt yourself because of her death."

Sagara's tone was gentle while staring lovingly at Rayno who could only be silent in silence listening to him.

Rayno did not know what to say because for her heart and soul were so tired of all this.

All Rayno wanted was to end all this suffering, because Rayno was so desperate.

For Rayno, her happiness is only with her mother, but her happiness is gone because of her mistakes.

So what would he live for if the people he loved so much were no longer in this world because of his mistakes.

Rayno always imagined it, the guilt is always there when remembering past events. If she hadn't forced her mother to be with her, she would have lived.

As the car drove away from the bridge, the tension inside the vehicle remained thick. Rayno's silence resounded in the car, only to be broken by Sagara's rapid breathing.

The two brothers grapple with each other's emotions, each of them struggling to find the right word to say.

Sagara's heart feels heavy because it worries Rayno. He had always protected his younger brother, but the incidents that shook their lives had left permanent scars on him and his other siblings.

Especially Rayno who constantly blames herself for the accident.

Sagara knows the guilt that gnaws at Rayno, the burden of losing someone they love so much. He had seen Rayno suffer in silence, bearing the burden alone.

Sagara's grip is getting tighter on the steering wheel of the car. He knew exactly which incident Rayno meant, a tragedy that had changed their lives forever.

Rayno's mind had been tormented by the incident, Rayno must have been overwhelmed by guilt and regret.

Sagara hopes time will heal his brother's wounds, but Sagara is wrong because the wounds suffered by his sister even deeper as time goes on.

Sagara's car stops in front of the Mahavir family mansion, and Sagara carefully helps Rayno out of the vehicle.

As Sagara and Rayno entered the mansion, the Mahavir family had been waiting for them with anxiety and worry.
