Chapter 39. Sarah's Happiness

A month went by so fast. The whereabouts of Daniel and his parents were lost to nowhere. The man kept a promise not to see Sarah or ask for any more company that his ex-wife already owned.

"Darling, are you still upset with Daniel?" ask Sarah when preparing breakfast in the dining room.

As a housewife, she also had to care about Edward. The company's business was given to Edward's confidant at Sarah's request. She wanted to focus on taking care of Edward as an obedient wife. He was still expecting Daniel's words when they last met.

"Not really. I think he's a man he can hold his words to."

"Ck, that was when he was already a man who had nothing! When in power, he was a proud and annoying man!" The wound will not heal on its own. It takes time to really forget.

"I'm sorry I pissed you off in the morning, honey. So, do you want to accompany me to the office today?"

Sarah shook. Lately his body feels very strange, even though he is no longer working in the office. He was often tired for no reason. The kitchen and cooking business is still the work of the chef in her husband's mansion. He only arranged food at the dinner table and occasionally added Edward's favorite food.

"I'm so tired and want to rest all day, Edward. I'm sorry."

"Are you sick?"

Sarah shook. After putting a cup of coffee on the dining table, Sarah did not have the taste to enjoy the food itself.

"Darling, don't you eat?"

"I don't taste it, honey. I think I'm really sick. My tongue is bitter to swallow something."

"Better we go to the hospital now. I don't want anything to happen to you, Sarah. Believe that! Today I'll have plenty of time for you."

Edward finished his breakfast quickly. He had to drive Sarah to the hospital. At least Edward immediately knew what disease his wife suffered.

Along the way, Sarah was scared. He was afraid that the doctor would diagnose that his age would not be long. Moreover, it was caused by Sarah who did not taste to eat.

"Darling, may I ask you something?"

Edward looked at it for a moment. "Say!"

"If for example I had a dangerous illness and I died, would you marry again?"

Edward was silent for a moment. Sarah's question was considered nonsense to him. All this time Edward had been patient waiting until he got the woman he loved very much.

"You're talking nonsense, honey! I'm sure you're okay. Even if you die, you think I can easily replace you with another woman, huh? I've been waiting years for you to come back until I choose not to get married. Is there any lack of proof I'm showing you? After getting there and doing a series of health check-ups, Sarah and Edward wait for the doctor to give an answer to what he thought before.

"I'm shaking, honey!" sarah said slowly.

Edward clasped the woman's hand confidently. Their togetherness will not make Sarah desperate for the second time. Edward is Sarah's breath, and vice versa. If the doctor had convicted Sarah of having a dangerous disease, Edward would have sought the best treatment for the wife's recovery.

"We're together, honey. I'll never let you down or leave you."

The conversation came to a halt when doctors brought Sarah's health test results. The atmosphere of the room was suddenly silent until the sound of the doctor breaking the silence.

"Doctor, my wife is nervous at the end result." Edward smiled.

"There's nothing to worry about, ma'am. The results are good and there are no dangerous diseases."

Sarah and Edward breathed a sigh of relief.

"What really happened to me, Doctor? If I'm not sick, then what?" ask Sarah.

"You're pregnant, Madam!"

Sarah and Edward froze in front of the doctor. Sarah was reminded of Daniel's words the last time they met. Apparently it's true that she's the one with the problem, not Catherine.

"Darling!" Edward clasped his wife's hand.

"Really, Doctor?" Sarah could not believe it.

"of course. Let's do the Ultrasound!"

The nurse moved Sarah to another room. That's where the test goes. The doctor said that his body was about seven weeks old. It still feels like a dream.

After being convinced that Sarah was really pregnant, Edward immediately took the woman somewhere and rewarded her endless kisses.

"Honey, I didn't expect that you would give birth to a successor for my family! I'm so happy!" said Edward.

Sarah glassy. "I think Daniel's kidding, honey."

"you mean? Are you still in touch with Daniel?" Of course Edward was jealous.

"No, Honey. Do you remember the last time you had lunch together? Before that, Daniel had told me that he was the one with the problem. I hesitated and was afraid to prove it all. I'm afraid to let you down, honey. That's why I stayed silent until I actually showed proof that Daniel's words weren't just bullshit."

Edward listened carefully. Of course Sarah has a particular fear of it. The insults of the former in-laws must always overshadow his life.

"I'm jealous, honey. I didn't think Daniel would be honest with you."

"I'm sorry I made you guys fuss. I'm just afraid that disappointment I'll get over and over."

Edward repeatedly kissed the back of his wife's hand. He was so happy that his beliefs had been true all along. She believes Sarah can give her offspring.

"No problem, honey. Take good care of your womb. We're together until any moment."

"Darling, thank you for always accepting me with all your heart. I'm so happy to have you and our future son. I felt my pain in the past paid off with this incredible happiness."

Sarah cried in Edward's arms. The man was very gentle, always treated Sarah so well, and her care and affection were so wonderful.

"Hey, don't cry!" Edward wiped away Sarah's tears that had run down her cheek.

"It's not a cry of sadness, dear. I am happy living with you. May you always love me until the end of your life. I love you, Edward!"

"I love you too, Catherine! Until whenever we'll always be together."
