Chapter 38. Helena's Regret

The lunch successfully brought together Sarah's former and present. Of course, at first it was very annoying because both Daniel and Edward treated Sarah very annoyingly. The two compete to get Sarah back. Like a teenager in love.

"Enough! You guys are so outrageous. Especially you, Daniel! Edward and I are married. So, act like a stranger to us!" firmly Sarah.

Instead of enjoying lunch comfortably, she found her ex-husband behaving like a child.

"Okay, Daniel. I've paid for all your orders. This is our last meeting and don't look your face in front of me again!" it was Sarah who pulled out her husband's hand to get out of there.

Edward followed behind his wife. The man smiled behind him. The reason, the man was quite happy that everything related to Edward, Sarah had realized that they really loved each other.

However, when he was about to reach the parking lot, Sarah met Brenda again. The woman who had been the third person in her marriage with Daniel at that time.

The woman has changed. Looks more charming than ever. He is no longer alone, either.

"Hi, Brenda!" greet Sarah.

Brenda smiled at him. "Hi, Sarah! I didn't expect that we would meet here."

"You look so happy!" praise Sarah. Surely after seeing what Brenda did with her appearance like a socialite.

"I've decided to marry someone else, Sarah. I think you were right to choose Edward. I admire your revenge. Pretty classy and absurd! I thought Catherine was really dead, but after I found out that you were Catherine in another form, I realized that my relationship with Daniel was only a runaway one. I'm sorry I let you down!"

Brenda feels painful when she finds out that Daniel, the man she loves, is easily moving days to Sarah. The woman he had known for a few days. They decided to get engaged in a short time.

"No problem, Brenda. I've forgotten everything. May you be happy!" sarah said last time and left Brenda.

The woman stared at the departure of Sarah and Edward who had just seen without interacting. That guy was impressive in Brenda's eyes.

"You're so lucky, Sarah! When Daniel hurt you there was another man who cared more and loved you" Brenda muttered and walked into the restaurant.

Not just stop there. As Brenda waited for her husband's arrival, she passed Daniel on crutches and in his hand was a paper bag from the restaurant.

"Daniel!"

"Brenda!"

The two greet each other. However, before Daniel left Brenda, he briefly talked to the woman.

"I'm sorry for what we've done together. I can't make you happy, just make you different from other women."

"It's okay. You let go of a good woman for me. I can't give you happiness, Daniel. Our life path is different now. Look at!" Brenda showed a circular diamond ring on the ring finger of her right hand. That means, the wedding ring is already coiled there. "I'm married to a man I think can give you anything you never give. I feel happy even though all I'm going to is treasure and popularity itself."

After saying that, Daniel immediately came out of the restaurant. He immediately looked for a taxi so he could return to his rental home.

After leaving the hospital, Sarah still gives Daniel the opportunity to live in a small rented house. No longer an apartment like before. Especially until it is united with Brenda's apartment. The woman had long since exorcised him subtly.

"Finally, you go home too! Mama's worried about you, Daniel. Where have you been?"

My mom no longer knows what to do. Is this regret? Or maybe the punishment we should accept?" helena said regretfully.
