Chapter 36. The arrival of Daniel

A smile rose on Sarah's lips after the two of them clutched on the bed last night. Edward, who had been holding back for years, finally let go. Repeated release in hopes that the wife could have offspring. If not, Edward still loved her at any time.

Today is not a holiday. After the wedding yesterday, the couple must return to their respective routines, namely taking care of work in the company. There are no plans for a vacation or honeymoon.

"Darling, wakeup! We should go back to the mansion and go to the company. Didn't you say there was an important meeting today?"

Edward had almost forgotten the happiness he had waited so long for. Now there is no longer a distance that will separate it. Of course because he is already at one with his love.

"I'm sorry, honey. We should just take a leave of absence. It's just, I've already promised some clients and after our wedding, I'll have a meeting."

"Well, who's wrong here? I did too, my dear. I'm sorry. Maybe next time we can rearrange the honeymoon plan."

Edward immediately went down to the bathroom. Especially when Sarah is ready. It seems that the woman was very painstaking being a housewife on the first day of their marriage.

After a long wait, Edward came out with a fresh looking body wrapped in a suit and other equipment. He looks like he got a surprise in the morning blind from his wife.

"Is this what it's like to be a husband, Sarah?"

"Come, Honey. I don't think I can read your mind, but I'm just trying to please you."

Sarah asks Edward to return to the mansion as soon as breakfast is over. After that, they would split up there to head to their respective offices.

"Darling, are you sure we're working today? It's the first day of our wedding, honey," Edward said.

Sarah is convinced because she has to finish some work before they go on their honeymoon. After that, they will have a long vacation.

After breakfast, Edward pulled out several suitcases of his own and Sarah's. He brought the suitcase to put in the car.

"Don't drive the car too fast! I'm a little sleepy, Edward."

That's vivid. After a night, Edward slept well. While Sarah, she was drowning in her dreams when it approached the early hours of the morning. I wanted to give up, but the truth is like that.

"Darling, then how do you go to the office? You must be accompanied by a driver. Okay?"

Edward is no longer to be denied. He dropped off a few suitcases when he reached the mansion. Afterwards, he ordered the private driver along with some bodyguards to secure Sarah while working.

"Honey, just one driver!"

Sarah felt that Edward was too much. He had no idea that later in the company there would be a completely unexpected surprise.

"Follow my request, dear! I don't want my wife and my future son to happen."

Sarah was frozen. He couldn't possibly give Edward that most beautiful gift. Surely there will be wounds in the past that repeat until the present. The shadow of despair with insults that are endless will come from others.

Sarah went to the office without saying goodbye to Edward. His heart was completely broken when Edward hoped for something that had been lost from Sarah's own thinking, which was about the child.

"What have I done? I was nervous on the first day of our wedding. It's only natural that Edward would hope to do so, whereas I'm not a woman who can give my husband what he wants. Do I have to end the marriage a second time?"

Sarah opens the lid of her laptop repeatedly until the sound of knocking on the door makes her realize she's in the office.

"Lake in!" said Sarah.

After the door was opened, a man wearing a T-shirt and armpit crutches hoisted his body. Broken leg bones that make it that way.

"Daniel?" sarah muttered as she saw her ex-husband standing there.

The man looked very thin after the last time they met. She was standing at the door because Sarah had not told her to sit down.

"You're not letting your ex-husband sit down, Sarah?"

Sarah looks clumsy. Her husband was right, but why did the bodyguards not forbid Daniel from entering her room? Is this a trap or a conspiracy that Edward has devised to throw him back? It flashed an old wound that Daniel incised revolved around his head.

"Oh, sorry, Daniel! Please sit! I'm sorry, I was so outrageous to let you stand for long enough. How's your mama doing?"

Since the incident that night, Sarah no longer appears in the hospital. He only paid for the treatment for the two people.

Daniel sat down before Sarah like a guest. Usually she's the one sitting in the chair that Sarah's sitting in, but this time the surprise is inversely proportional.

"You're a good fit to occupy that seat. Why am I just realizing it now?"

Sarah shook. "Come away!"

"Oh, yes, I came here because there's something important I want to say. It's not just me, but in my mother's name."

Sarah didn't want to hear anything. Especially until meeting with Daniel after he played the man with his revenge show. It was all taken from the man. Pain, remorse, coercion, and all forms of punishment led Daniel to an accident.

"Is this about the company?"

Daniel shakes. "No. I thank you for helping my mother. Suppose you didn't come on time and your heart's kindness, maybe now I've been living a long, long life without anyone."

Sarah moved from her seat. She did not want to accept such flattery because Sarah did not want to listen to anything. He's done enough to make Daniel's life and his family ruined like that. Not anymore. He was happy with Edward and his new life.

"If you come here just to give me a compliment, it's better if you leave now!"

Actually, it's not just about that. Daniel wants to apologize for his mother's totally absurd accusations. He also had the heart to cheat under the pretext that Catherine was barren, but the problematic reality was Daniel. Until the accident happens, Sarah doesn't know that's the cause.

Losing confidence and also losing Brenda from his side left Daniel in despair. Not only that, the company that made him arrogant is now a memory. Not destroyed, but changed ownership in the name of his ex-wife.
